Very kind staff; they speak English very well and were so prepared for us. The hotel is nice, with a delicious breakfast and many variants. I recommend this place; the city and view are amazing. Rooms are very clean and good-looking, recently reconditioned

Great service at the hotel, the location is absolutely amazing with a view on the water of the castle. Have a drink on the patio during sunset against the castle or walk in the morning on the path along the water wall. For parking use the street parking for free that is just after the hotel and save 25 euro a night. Breakfast was very good and the room is very nice with glass all around you.

We only went to a spa, it's a very nice place, we will come back! And extremely polite and friendly staff at reception.

Inconspicuous from the outside, the location is very convenient, the train station is right opposite. We recommend a room facing the courtyard as it is much quieter. Bathroom is modern and very thoughtfully designed. The breakfast was ok, could be a little more varied.

Entrance and courtyard from the parking lot is on the side street. Hotel very nice for the price, the furniture at the entrance and loving staff. The rooms are modernly furnished, lots of mirrors and drawers. Bathroom and shower cubicle are very clean

Beautiful renovated rooms and breakfast room. Unfortunately there is no soundproofing in the rooms facing the street. Truck drives straight through. :) Breakfast is OK. When I asked if there were fried eggs, the answer was that there were no eggs - it was Friday. Reception only open until 5 p.m. When you're traveling by bike, there's no space to park. Check-in via key box. The facade of the building next door seems rather intimidating, but pleasantly surprising! My single room felt like it was 1.8 m wide but was already furnished. Bathroom was great too. Breakfast buffet was more than sufficient for me, fried eggs available to order. I'd love to come back

Hotel is directly opposite the train station. The walk to the old town is 15 minutes. The rooms are modern and tastefully furnished. We had a room facing the courtyard, which was very quiet. The breakfast was of very good quality. We'll definitely come back.

Excellent food, beautifully presented. Here we cook with style and love. Very nice service. It is worth combining a visit to the restaurant with a bike tour or a hike to the Boselspitze.

Went there for coffee and cake after a hike in the smallest mountain range in Saxony. Cakes very tasty and you can't go wrong with a good coffee machine... We'll be back for lunch... Or dinner ☀️😎

Rustic furnishings meet modern cuisine. Very tasty food, lovingly decorated. The menu has both traditional German dishes and slightly more "exotic" vegetarian and vegan options. Perfect for a large family with different diets and preferences. We were all happy and held!

I celebrated my milestone birthday in Förster's favorite bar. My guests and I felt completely comfortable. The quality and preparation of the food and drinks was perfect. I can recommend the location unreservedly.

The restaurant is excellent. "Meissner Schwerter" beer is the best, it is from the oldest private brewery from Saxony, over 450 years old. The food is traditional and the service very nice, fast and friendly. You eat and drink good and feel the history.

We like that this historic was rescued from decay by an extensive renovation in the mid 1990's. We loved having a bath tub as well as a shower. We loved the big comfortable bed. Stayed just for night on the way to Berlin. The hotel is right in the center of the city- we had issue finding a way to drive close to it, in the end we parked few minutes walk which was okay for us. Room was very nice, spacious and clean. Had everything one needed. We had an issue to get into the hotel as we arrived late- apparently there is no one in the hotel after 18 which is not mentioned anywhere...

Although hidden at the square the hotel is a gem among hotels. Meissen is a film set for historical movies. If you find it hard to find a proper hotel in Dresden, I recommend Meissen at a half hour by train, especially if you like porcelain

Very nicely located hotel The hotel is perfectly located, we had lovely afternoon walking in the Old part of Meisses. The bed is comfortable. The only detail that can be easyly improve is to give a complimentary bottle of water in the room. There is nor coffee machine or kettle so at least a bottle of water would be welcome. There is a small city car parking near hotel.

This is an elegant hotel but we arrived during a heatwave. There was no airconditioning and a woman was complaining about the heat in her room. Our room was a bit warm large and beautiful with a extra room for my grandchild. Breakfast was great and the area around the hotel is gorgeous! I'd stay here again.

Hotel Goldenes Fass is a very beautiful SPA oasis with different saunas and relaxing areas. The room what I ordered had a bath top with whirlpool. Comfortable bed and everything was clean. Towels and bathrobes are included. The service is excellent. Everything you get explained at your arrival day and any other questions you have as well. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Quiet place for an overnight stay. 80th abience, acceptable breakfast, friendly service.

Good hotel with friendly staff. However, the WiFi is almost completely broken. I say almost because in my time jumping from one of their hotspots to the other (they have many), I probably sent a megabyte or so.

Breakfast is plentiful, good location, friendly staff even if you have small children a sleep as is possible. We will be driving on anyway, back to the Hotel in the holidays.

A beautiful and unique accommodation. The rooms are unique and lovingly furnished. The breakfast was delicious and in a special atmosphere (in the vaulted cellar). The hostess was very accommodating and welcomed us with a glass of champagne and said goodbye with a delicious breakfast. Gladly again. We felt very comfortable.

We were there for an overnight stay. Frau Schönitz is super nice. The room was very nice, very personal and comfortable. And the hammer was the breakfast, which is served in the vaulted cellar. Here are really no wishes unfulfilled 😊 We will gladly come back.

Perfect place to chill, natural swimming pool with some fishes in that do not trouble. The food amazing as well we tried few options and all of them were good, but the dessert is mind blowing! Great place with good welcoming staff, recommended

Absolutely loved this place! The natural pool is a dream! The people in the hotel were always friendly and our family room had the perfect size. A walk to the Elbe is a few minutes away and you can reach Dresden and Meissen (beautiful, beautiful place) by car or even bike easily from there. We will be definitely back!

Very nice hotel, a bit out of the way. For the uphill stage it is exhausting with bicycles, but help is available if necessary. In spite of the immediate tracks, very little noise can be heard. The rooms are clean, the staff is very nice. The beds could use more pillows or the option to adjust the headboard. This is a deficit for people who cannot sleep flat. Overall very satisfied

If you need peace and quiet, nature and still close to the city, this is the right place for you. From the hotel property you have a wonderful view of the cathedral. The young man at the reception is absolutely service-oriented and there for each guest individually. Price performance is more than recommendable 👍

This Hotel is very dreamy, on the edge of the forest. It is unimpressive, but the Service is very good. Sorry, there are no meals, but drinks can be consumed in the beer garden. Very recommended location with a positive price - performance ratio.

The city of Meißen was wonderful - picturesque and peaceful. And the Hotel Residenz am Markt was in the perfect location next to the Frauenkirche with its porcelain bells. Our room and the bathroom are relatively large, and according to the Meissner ambience enchanting. The location is Central and an ideal starting point for excursions, walks, or simply a leisurely Cup of coffee visit. The Hotel rental Parking, which are reached in a few minutes on foot. Altstadt is just magical at Night. Walk down from the Burgkeller to the Markt and look back to the Dom - it is as you were in a movie As I was only for one night stay I cannot comment too much on the service, except I was greeted with a glass of bubbles and on leaving I was present with homemade cookies. All in all I loved my stay and will be back with friends

Didn't actually stay here but did visit the hotel prior to visiting the Dom. The staff were absolutely and welcoming and the coffee was great. As a visitor to the hotel it was a lovely experience and I can only assume that people staying there enjoy it even more. Thank you for your delightful kitchen and service staff

Went to the restaurant as part of evening event organised by Silicon Saxony. The food was good, all the arrangements were nice and proper. The restaurant ambiance and view is really great. Me and my colleagues really enjoyed the evening there.

Very nice hotel on top of the Burg with elevator access from the cheap parking. Amazing views from the terrace. The rooms where a pleasant surprise. Quite luxurious for the price. The breakfast is in a small area with magnificent view and good selections. Will definitely be back. We had business meeting in a special room next to the bar. We recently spent 3 days in and around Meissen. We came across this cozy and familiar hotel on the internet. We received a very friendly welcome (by phone and on site). The room was very clean, lovingly furnished and the bed was just heavenly! The breakfast was always very good. Fresh fruit, fresh bread and rolls, yoghurt and, above all, a freshly prepared omelet on request. - All in all very recommendable...

As a regular traveler I would like to recommend this little gem in Meissen. Newly remodeled with beautifully updated lobby and rooms. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the town with great views of the castle from almost every room. The managers are incredibly lovely. The breakfast is delicious. Nothing but positive things to say about this romantic B&B.

It is a great place to stay, centrally located next to the factory, easy to reach the train station and the city center. The Christmas market is cozy and small. The breakfast in the pension is great, we were very spoiled. Parking lot in front of the door and a small lounge with a drinks fridge and TV with cash register of trust. This pension is recommended. The hostel people are very nice and fulfill requests. The rooms are extremely clean. A bit out of the hustle and bustle, therefore also quiet. It's not far to the center.

Good value for money, very good breakfast buffet, like many old buildings the rooms are as soundproof as many modern hotels (this was only a minor inconvenience), I had some problems with the WiFi, but that was probably my fault. Room was comfortable. Recommended! Very central!

Nice hotel on the north side of Meissen. Rooms are very large and bathrooms are clean. Breakfast was private and delicious. Parking is right outside the main door. Located cliffside to the towns large church castle. I would recommend this hotel for the location convenience and hospitality.
