The Hotel is very nicely located on the river Elbe, one has its peace and can come very quickly to the city centre. The staff are very friendly, the Breakfast buffet is plentiful, the rooms are top - I was completely satisfied.

Inconspicuous from the outside, the location is very convenient, the train station is right opposite. We recommend a room facing the courtyard as it is much quieter. Bathroom is modern and very thoughtfully designed. The breakfast was ok, could be a little more varied.

Entrance and courtyard from the parking lot is on the side street. Hotel very nice for the price, the furniture at the entrance and loving staff. The rooms are modernly furnished, lots of mirrors and drawers. Bathroom and shower cubicle are very clean

Beautiful renovated rooms and breakfast room. Unfortunately there is no soundproofing in the rooms facing the street. Truck drives straight through. :) Breakfast is OK. When I asked if there were fried eggs, the answer was that there were no eggs - it was Friday. Reception only open until 5 p.m. When you're traveling by bike, there's no space to park. At €120 per night with breakfast, I wish there...

Check-in via key box. The facade of the building next door seems rather intimidating, but pleasantly surprising! My single room felt like it was 1.8 m wide but was already furnished. Bathroom was great too. Breakfast buffet was more than sufficient for me, fried eggs available to order. I'd love to come back

Hotel is directly opposite the train station. The walk to the old town is 15 minutes. The rooms are modern and tastefully furnished. We had a room facing the courtyard, which was very quiet. The breakfast was of very good quality. We'll definitely come back.

We visited only the restaurant. It was great food, comforting service and really good prices. We paid for our 2 meals (haxn and Leberkäse) on haxnday below than 30€ for food and drinks 👌👌 Although nice was the scenery and that the waitresses were wearing Trachten.

Charming hotel and restaurant right in the heart of Meißen. Friendly service and a really nice room at a great price in the center of town. We had a great room overlooking the Markt and we were happy to find a place for 3 person occupancy which is not always easy to do in Germany.

Nice place to stay, directly in the old town. The beer 🍺 taste really good. Very friendly waitress. I believe we will come back soon.

A beautiful hotel with a romantic flair. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The wellness area is small but fine. Highly recommended for a break from everyday life. The food also left nothing to be desired.

Hotel Goldenes Fass is a very beautiful SPA oasis with different saunas and relaxing areas. The room what I ordered had a bath top with whirlpool. Comfortable bed and everything was clean. Towels and bathrobes are included. The service is excellent. Everything you get explained at your arrival day and any other questions you have as well. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Very modern and clean hotel with nice comfortable rooms. Back of hotel has a large greenspace on the Elbe River with a fantastic view of Albrechtsburg Castle. Breakfast had many options and worth the extra cost. I've only rated it 4 stars because I could not get the room with a view that I had paid for because of ongoing construction. They did provide free parking as compensation but I may have switched...

Very nice hotel at the most exquisite spot - with a million dollar view of the castle.

10 min walk to Old Town and all restaurants. 20 min to Castle. We did not get a room with the river view but the room was updated and very clean. Breakfast option is well worth the money. Will definitely return when back in Meissen.

The staff and room were very nice. The location is perfect for visiting Meißen. Breakfast buffet has everything one would want. We would definitely return here on another trip.

Very nice hotel! Very comfortable and clean hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We used this more remote hotel as a central point between Dresden and Leipzig. So nice to stay outside of the busyness of the city. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel, a bit out of the way. For the uphill stage it is exhausting with bicycles, but help is available if necessary. In spite of the immediate tracks, very little noise can be heard. The rooms are clean, the staff is very nice. The beds could use more pillows or the option to adjust the headboard. This is a deficit for people who cannot sleep flat. Overall very satisfied

If you need peace and quiet, nature and still close to the city, this is the right place for you. From the hotel property you have a wonderful view of the cathedral. The young man at the reception is absolutely service-oriented and there for each guest individually. Price performance is more than recommendable 👍

This Hotel is very dreamy, on the edge of the forest. It is unimpressive, but the Service is very good. Sorry, there are no meals, but drinks can be consumed in the beer garden. Very recommended location with a positive price - performance ratio.

Quiet place for an overnight stay. 80th abience, acceptable breakfast, friendly service.

Good hotel with friendly staff. However, the WiFi is almost completely broken. I say almost because in my time jumping from one of their hotspots to the other (they have many), I probably sent a megabyte or so.

Breakfast is plentiful, good location, friendly staff even if you have small children a sleep as is possible. We will be driving on anyway, back to the Hotel in the holidays.

Nice experience I booked this hotel during the race of Motogp even if it is 45 minutes from the circuit, it is really good to stay here to relax. Nice restaurant, Nice extra service like a small lake to swin and children park Really suggested

Perfect place to chill, natural swimming pool with some fishes in that do not trouble. The food amazing as well we tried few options and all of them were good, but the dessert is mind blowing! Great place with good welcoming staff, recommended

Absolutely loved this place! The natural pool is a dream! The people in the hotel were always friendly and our family room had the perfect size. A walk to the Elbe is a few minutes away and you can reach Dresden and Meissen (beautiful, beautiful place) by car or even bike easily from there. We will be definitely back!

A nice parking space near Meisen, price-performance ratio always fits. The boss is on site as a contact person, friendly and polite at all times. Eating is also possible in the country inn = good, honest cuisine at fair prices. Picture- breaded schnitzel, wild potatoes and side salad, delicious 👍 The center of Meisen can be comfortably reached by bike in 10 minutes. I would go back to the parking...

Small domestic hotel. Nice and tidy bedrooms. Excellent for small groups of people. In front of a hotel is a huge garden with a lots of birds. Good staff.

We like that this historic was rescued from decay by an extensive renovation in the mid 1990's. We loved having a bath tub as well as a shower. We loved the big comfortable bed. We loved the location in the town centre. Most of all we enjoyed the excellent German breakfast, with Sekt, smoked salmon and proper freshly-baked croissant amongst the offerings. Stayed just for night on the way to Berlin. The hotel is right in the center of the city- we had issue finding a way to drive close to it, in the end we parked few minutes walk which was okay for us. Room was very nice, spacious and clean. Had everything one needed. We had an issue to get into the hotel as we arrived late- apparently there is no one in the hotel after 18 which is not mentioned anywhere...

Although hidden at the square the hotel is a gem among hotels. Meissen is a film set for historical movies. If you find it hard to find a proper hotel in Dresden, I recommend Meissen at a half hour by train, especially if you like porcelain

Very nicely located hotel The hotel is perfectly located, we had lovely afternoon walking in the Old part of Meisses. The bed is comfortable. The only detail that can be easyly improve is to give a complimentary bottle of water in the room. There is nor coffee machine or kettle so at least a bottle of water would be welcome. There is a small city car parking near hotel.

We recently spent 3 days in and around Meissen. We came across this cozy and familiar hotel on the internet. We received a very friendly welcome (by phone and on site). The room was very clean, lovingly furnished and the bed was just heavenly! The breakfast was always very good. Fresh fruit, fresh bread and rolls, yoghurt and, above all, a freshly prepared omelet on request. - All in all very recommendable...

As a regular traveler I would like to recommend this little gem in Meissen. The entire house and the hotel rooms have been lovingly designed and the owners evidently have a keen sense of shape and color. The great look is rounded off by extremely warm hosts who really give you the feeling that you are welcome. The rooms and the whole house are very well maintained. Newly remodeled with beautifully updated lobby and rooms. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the town with great views of the castle from almost every room. The managers are incredibly lovely. The breakfast is delicious. Nothing but positive things to say about this romantic B&B.

Accommodation close to the city center. The rooms are clean, the mattresses are neither too hard nor too soft, and the pillows are comfortable to sleep on. The breakfast is simply superb, with a huge selection, many of which are homemade, like the salads and jam. The rolls are fresh and there are a variety of options, and the coffee is also very good. The guesthouse is located in the heart of Meissen. Sights such as the porcelain factory are just a few minutes' walk away. We had a very nice double room with a bathtub. The breakfast buffet also left nothing to be desired. The owners were very friendly. One small drawback is the lack of an elevator. We definitely recommend this guesthouse.
