Stay away. The photos you see here do not reflect the quality of the rooms. Our room was small. Clean, no doubt, but only with the very essential. The reception desk is not occupied after 9.30 pm. Would it not have been for some friendly guests which helped us get in and find a phone to call the some clerk, we would have stayed outside the hotel. Verycstrange for a hotel where you have prebooked a room.

We like that this historic was rescued from decay by an extensive renovation in the mid 1990's. We loved having a bath tub as well as a shower. We loved the big comfortable bed. We loved the location in the town centre. Most of all we enjoyed the excellent German breakfast, with Sekt, smoked salmon and proper freshly-baked croissant amongst the offerings. We didn't like our top floor room being under the eves of the roof. The sloping ceiling meant having to duck in order to get into bed. We found the 1990's fixtures and fittings a bit dated, including the thick, small-screen 'flat' TV. There was no kettle in the room to make tea/coffee. The hotel would have been fantastic when it re-opened 30 years ago, but today it feels 'tired'. There were some unpleasant smells between the reception desk and a back entrance through which we inadvertently entered the property on arrival We paid 93 euros for a Monday overnight stay in low-season mid March, for bed and breakfast, and are glad we didn't pay any more than that,

Stayed just for night on the way to Berlin. The hotel is right in the center of the city- we had issue finding a way to drive close to it, in the end we parked few minutes walk which was okay for us. Room was very nice, spacious and clean. Had everything one needed. We had an issue to get into the hotel as we arrived late- apparently there is no one in the hotel after 18 which is not mentioned anywhere. We did get a call from hotel around that time and they gave instructions on what to do- but the whole situation was strange.
Breakfast was very very very good- all of high quality, good choice. All in all i can recommend it.

Although hidden at the square the hotel is a gem among hotels. Meissen is a film set for historical movies. If you find it hard to find a proper hotel in Dresden, I recommend Meissen at a half hour by train, especially if you like porcelain

Very nicely located hotel
The hotel is perfectly located, we had lovely afternoon walking in the Old part of Meisses. The bed is comfortable. The only detail that can be easyly improve is to give a complimentary bottle of water in the room. There is nor coffee machine or kettle so at least a bottle of water would be welcome. There is a small city car parking near hotel.

The receptionist has charged additional fees that are already included in our booking such as tax and child surcharge. The total amount should be EUR 137.46. Meanwhile, the gentleman at the reception asked for 152.46 euros. There is also no extra bed available for the child. Additionally, upon drawing attention, he was rude and arrogant, The director of the hotel, despite the call, did not appear at the agreed time and has not contacted us until today. total ignorance.

Not a 4* Hotel
It is a beautiful Hotel in the middle of the old town of Meißen.
To achieve a good starting point.
The room was large but very dark and the Outlook on the three-Meter distant roofs also not nice.
Unfortunately you could not sleep very well because one has heard the whole night the chimes of the Church.
There would have to be the city of something.
The bathroom is also a "little" years. Unfortunately only with a bath tub, which made showering easy and I had to think of older people, how they will cope with it.
The Service was good, but not very motivated, maybe it was also because the man saw the same Person in the Evening, Morning and again in the Evening.
This promotes no work ethic, but, unfortunately, commonplace in the restaurant business.
To the Restaurant, we can say nothing, because we were always eating out.
The Bar, we could not test, since this was always closed and on the weekend.
The beer garden is also, unfortunately, very appealing. Simple garden furniture like in any simple garden.
Breakfast for us is also not a 4*
To the positive, the coffee , Rühereier and the homemade sausage in the jars was very tasty.
Unfortunately, the other sausage was so tight and thin that, if you wanted a disk, has five with pulled behind.
The bun, no matter what varieties were sticky.
Margarine, it was on the second day, unfortunately, and from the honey dispenser nothing came out.
On the second day, we had to do the operation first, plan carefully, we still have no coffee.
The receptionists, all very friendly and helpful.
Room service - on the day of arrival the room was clean. On the second day, there were hair on the floor. And when we came back, ran the ventilation in the bathroom and the whole bathroom smelled like the perfume of my husband. I would like to here of anything, but funny it was.
Hope the fragrance has fallen.
Price-performance ratio has not voted for us.
Been in better 3* Hotels stayed in.
