The restaurant is excellent. "Meissner Schwerter" beer is the best, it is from the oldest private brewery from Saxony, over 450 years old. The food is traditional and the service very nice, fast and friendly. You eat and drink good and feel the history.

We visited only the restaurant.
It was great food, comforting service and really good prices.
We paid for our 2 meals (haxn and Leberkäse) on haxnday below than 30€ for food and drinks 👌👌
Although nice was the scenery and that the waitresses were wearing Trachten.

Nice place to stay, directly in the old town. The beer 🍺 taste really good. Very friendly waitress. I believe we will come back soon.

The staff is very aggressive and unfriendly, I don't understand why my parents and I were treated boorishly and what the waiter didn't like when my father approached him, maybe my father's smile? Although he treated the other German-speaking customers with a smile and was polite. Perhaps he didn't like that I asked him to speak Ukrainian, and not Russian as suggested by the waiter. At the same time, he refused to speak to me in English because he didn't want to. Decriminalization and only. Maybe the restaurant is wonderful, the beer in the whole city is amazing. But.... Thanks for the bad mood.

Good Kellerbier. The gulasch was tasty. Fast service. Lucky to get one of the few unreserved tables (all places around the market space seem to be fully booked from 6 pm

Good - lively - for food - kitchen closes at 9pm. Friendly service - we were staying upstairs so it was convenient.

Due to the warm weather we have been drinking only a little. The tasted beer was good! Fassbrause something sweet. The Service was fine.

This brewery has a good selection of beers brewed by themselves. The traditional food of the area is really good. Highly recommended. In addition, the service is friendly and very correct.

The Meissen wine festival I ate Lunch in swords tavern house, a Schnitzel with mushrooms and dumplings. I have to say that I had the dumplings "skipped"( I don't like dumplings). As they served my food I tried, gently, the dumplings, and was totally thrilled. I don't know how the kitchen makes but if I had the required loved one can still be a reference.

Very good food, which is worth its price. This includes beer, friendly waitresses, and a harmonious and cozy atmosphere delicious. Definitely to be recommended.
