Where to stay in Meppen

Warm atmosphere. Very good menu with local specialities. Breakfast is great. Rooms are tidy and clean. Friendly personal.

We really liked the room, it had a very luxurious bathroom with a very nice and good working sauna. The breakfast was very good, all fresh and lot's of choice.

Great hotel in the meppen area. It is family-owned and has a great breakfast. Spend a few nights at the bar with friends downstairs and they told me the restaurant there was good as well. Very close to the town center and the staff is super friendly. It seems to be the only place I stay when I'm in Meppen

If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay in Meppen, don't have a second thought. A well maintained hotel with a tinge of antiquity. The service is also commentable. The main market is also nearby.

Lovely property in Meppen. The rooms were charming and the restaurant and bar area was wonderful as well. Would return if I ever find myself back in the area.

Quite nice big place, although full of contrasts- as if they weren't able to decide for old or modern style. Room was spacious, however, it smelled little bit old despite the modern furniture. What I also don't understand is a massive bathroom with only a tiny shower. Staff is super friendly though and breakfast was pretty good. Arrival is confusing since they have no Parking signs from the street

Very tasty, very friendly staff, definitely good value and fresh. The staff acts quickly and you are served quickly and the food comes fresh to the table accordingly. There are also many possibilities for celebrations such as a large hall and a bowling alley. There is also a beer garden and plenty of seating either outside or inside (even right at the bar), always with a nice atmosphere.

Great and quiet location. Excellent for quick stop over even for families.

A beautiful situated and very modern but still cozy hotel. As you can read in other reviews as well: the hotel offers an impressive breakfast. And as cherry on the cake a very friendly and hospitable hotel staff. A must stay when visiting the region.

superb little hotel with friendly staff

This is a great little restaurant in downtown meppen. super friendly staff and there were 10 of us that got in with no problem. Seems to be fairly authentic local cuisine with very good flavor. This is my second time to this restaurant and I will be back again.

Wunderbar! Great service, with excellent cooking and ingredients. You shouldn't by no means lose their "Rumpsteak aus Uruguay". Simply perfect. I do also recommend their "Grosse Grillplatte nach Art des Hauses", for three people at least.

Went there with a group of 8 from US. This place was awesome! The people were all very friendly The food was the best on our 5 city tour. It is a great little town to visit.

Surprising good restaurant for super good pricing. We ended up here from Groningen, didn't expect much but were happy surprised with a creative dish for super good price. Buckwheat Blini (pancake) with fresh Norwegian Lacks and cream cheese and salade for about 10 euro's. You will not find this where we live ;~)

t was a 3 nights stay . Our room was clean and large . The Staff was friendly . Breakfast was good. Restaurant for dinner was excellent . WiFi was Good. We got more we wanted according the conditions :-) Good location to explore EmsLand if U are by car . I would not hesitate to book again

Yummy food and good room service

It's a great hotel on a quite place with ok beds, clean bathroom, TV and stable internet connection. It on the side of Meppen, where there is not such a bad trafic, so it's not so loud in the night. Parking place is directly in front of the hotel. At breakfast you find everything you need and everything is also fresh. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but make sure, that you have a reservation...

Very nice and tidy hotel, located in a quiet central area. Good breakfast and comfy bed 👍☺️ Few down sides: average internet connection ( keeps on cutting off ) and and average noise isolation ( stayed on the first floor , could hear guest talking in the recp.)

Perfect stay - good breakfast, friendly staff even though we dropped in late in the evening with mud from top til toe after riding on our bikes the entire day.

We were at the campsite last weekend and loved it. A great place with super spacious and clean sanitary areas. The plots are large and equipped with all the essentials. The team is always nice and helpful. The price for the place is already very sporty and there is certainly still room for improvement in many things. But the place has only just opened and you should take into account that not everything...

A beautiful classical farm house in typical Northern Germany architecture, a must for golf enthusiasts.

Excellent golf course that is challenging yet fun. Very pretty as well, especially the back 9. 18 is the so called signature hole, and one that everyone sitting at the pretty restaurant will watch. Pascal the pro is always a treat even just to have a conversation with. All in all a great club.

VERY POSITIVE: very much enjoyed the two days spent at Gut Düneburg. A beautiful, interesting, well-kept 18 holes golf course, both challenging and forgiving at times. Excellent room, bed and bathroom, friendly staff and excellent food. No negatives!

We stayed here for 3 nights, the staff here are friendly and the location is close to everything too.

The rooms are nice and spacious. Location is good and the food you can get in the restaurant is great. Only downside for me are the beds are not great but not so bad you can't sleep at all.

Overall a very quiet place in the center of Haren. You can enjoy the nature just a few minutes away from it. Friendly and helpful stuff. Everything was great, except the fact you have no fridge or iron in the rooms.

The various dishes tasted very good and were also well presented. We also had a pasta dish which tasted very good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely visit the restaurant again.

I was there for now 2 times. Hotel is very nice and freshly renovated. Rooms are spacious and well decorated. Everything is clean and in good condition. Breakfast is fantastic, there is a lot to try. Restaurant serves quality food and portions are quite big.

Very nice staff. Breakfast was excellent. The rooms are modern and well-kept. From my hotel room I had a view of the lake. My dog ​​and I went for a walk by the lake every day - each time on a different route. The city center can be reached within 10 minutes on foot. I'm looking forward to the next time!

Hotel quite good right in the middle of the town but no one on site when I arrived and the email explaining how to get my room key and access to the place came after I got in with the help of a local who telephoned them for me. GPS got me where it thought it was but the entrance was actually on a parallel street. Only found that out when I asked a local where the address for the place was cause it...

Staying in the hotel for my second time and no doubt in recommending it! Very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms, supplied with vanity kit, toiletries, fresh towels and bed sheets for every day. Good breakfast. No minibars in the rooms, but there's fridge on the ground floor, providing beer, wine, soft drinks. Bear in mind there's no restaurant for lunch/dinner and not 24/7 reception (nevertheless...

Nice hotel in the middle of the city, a bit hidden, difficult to find. But worth the effort. Very nice rooms, good gastronomy. Booked bed and breakfast, everything was great (via Trivago) there is even a locked shelter for bikes. Very friendly staff. Visiting the old town is worth it 👍

Lingen centre is just at the back, easy walk to many restaurants and shops. Also hotel breakfast is fantastic. Rooms are clean and tidy, hotel is silent and comfortable.

Arguably the best hotel in Lingen. Centrally located, clean, spacious, luminous and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is nice with lots of choice and the staff is friendly. There is a nice wellness area with two saunas and a roof terrace. A pool or spa would have been even better. However there is a well equipped fitness room. The underground car park is large but it can get quickly full at times....

Nice and clean hotel. Right beside the Lookentor mall. Very good breakfast. Great location. There two restaurants nearby, one is a steakhouse and the other is an Italian restaurant. You get 5 euro one time discount if you are staying at the Looken Inn.

Phenomenal!!! The owner, chef, manager went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. The food was amazing. Our room was very clean. The entire staff was very friendly. Our stay at this hotel was the highlight of Lingen. Highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are anywhere near Lingen. Cannot say enough good things about this hotel and their staff.

We were a small family in the hotel for the first time and felt very comfortable. The lady at reception was extremely friendly, it almost seemed as if we were visiting. The room was clean and tidy with a small kitchenette and basic amenities. Breakfast was simple but delicious.

Single room is ok as long as man is under 185cm tall, so small bed! Small cooking niche with bathroom in the bedroom with shower and toilet, small balcony, non-smoking room! Towels are regularly exchanged, only bed linen rarely has to be addressed! Overall great for the money!

Stayed here with my wife & daughter overnight on our road trip together. Very well run, friendly & accommodating traditional hotel. Lovely grounds & biergarten .We had dinner here and all the meals were well prepared, as was the included breakfast the next morning. The hosts were attentive & welcoming.

First of all, the hotel makes a nice impression. My room, however, was rather barren and uncomfortable and faced the street. That wasn't so ideal. But it was neat and tidy. A nice place to stay. Unfortunately, it was really hot weather so I missed air conditioning in the room - while it might not be required usually. Parking and WiFi with great signal quality in room was included. I'd strongly recommend breakfast, since they offer scrambled eggs freshly prepared on demand and a broad variety of bread rolls. Staff was very friendly.

I'm visiting Lingen every year in march and last 5 years I'm using the Hotel am Wasserfall. A very nice hotel on a very special place. The Wehr (waterfall) is making some noise, but it is a nice noice of falling water. There is a lot of nature around and you can make very nice, long and interesting walks through the neighborhood. The hotel has a brand new breakfast room, very nice, clean and modern...

The location was great and the hotel looked amazing. Our room was lovely and well appointed. The food in the restaurant was great. We returned to the hotel on our return journey because we liked it so much.
