Where to stay in Monchengladbach

Our room on the 7th floor was divided with a double door to the next room, so we can hear the people easily next door who stay there , they can make that as a family room for 4 people , noisy. Old fashion bathroom with a laying bath who made it dangerous to slide. No diner served in this hotel so you must leave it , and in the neighbourhood there is nothing. The first possibillity 1km further walking...

Good, clean hotel however rooms need an update. Good breakfast with sweet and savory options. Coffee and water are always available. In general good value for the price.

Hotel is in a very nice city spot and close to the center with available parking. Rooms are spacious and clean, although the lightning could be better. Recent renovations mean that the rooms are very fresh, spacious and clean. The restaurant is still Subject to some work, so windows are covered meaning you miss the nice view to the trees outside. Easy to walk to Zentrum area in less than 10 minutes. Some parking at rear of hotel but covered spaces are unusable due to the hotel refurbishment ongoing.

Firts of all ignore all the negative reviews from before roughly two years ago since the hotel has had major renovations since that time. It is now a modern hotel with comfortable large rooms in a park setting. There is some final minor construction work but most is done. Staff was friendly and professional on all levels. From the moment of entry. The staff were attentive and welcoming. The bar was a super addition, again super friendly staff. The restaurant has a great and delicious menu. The room was comfortable and met our needs. Breakfast was great. Checkout speedy.

Nice The hotel at the time of my stay was coming near the end of a major refurbishment but would still work going on, I think the hotel handled this very well with regards to its customers, ideally situated in the city and a lovely stay

Unless you're staying there for the football. You're way outta town. Rooms were cool, although the large murals of the legendary football players heads, initially was brilliant... But weird at night. It felt like they were staring at you.

Very nice experience once again in the famous Borussiapark!

I had my room in the "Kutschhaus". Very friendly and cosy rooms. The Internet was excellent. It seemed very new and well maintained. The bathroom was spacious and the shower really nice. The restaurant is a big plus, especially if you like wine and typical german food.

We had a really nice evening celebrating our tiny wedding with excellent food at Rosenmeer. Very cozy and nice designed dining room and the best steaks we EVER had in our lifes.

Very cozy hotel! Rooms are nice and the staff is very nice too. The food at the restaurant is great! However, the restaurant is only open Tuesday through Sunday but breakfast is every day.

Placed near the Alter Markt is a good choice for your stay in this city. The room was places in diferent building, but was new and quiet, and the bed so confortable.

My sister and I went to Mönchengladbach without booking anything, so we were happy to find a place this close to the centre of Mönchengladbach. Everything was perfect, the owner was very nice. Rooms are clean and big and there is free WiFi. What more can you wish for!

Not been back in the Tannenhof for many years. But when we were on duty in the nearby Ayrshire Barracks we always enjoyed this nice hotel. The food. The draft beers. Great to note it still is there and in operation as a family business

Cosy and comfortable rooms, hospitable hosts, convenient location. I already stayed in Tannenhof several times and plan to come back again.

We know the Tannenhof for many years. And are Happy that it's still family run and doing well. In the old BAOR garrison years myself and some staff used to almost live in this nice quiet and laid back hotel.

A clean, small, family-run hotel on the outskirts of Mönchengladbach. The ride to the city takes a moment, but it is close to the stadium and a growing commercial area. They only serve breakfast, so be prepared to get your warm meals elsewhere. A supermarket is nearby. The charge for WiFi, but the prices are all right.

Staying on the third floor could create problems for the less mobile patrons as, per my room, the fire exit was through the fanlight and onto the roof where you would need to be extracted by the local fire brigade should there have been an internal fire. I have come across much worse during my extensive travels though.

It's a quiet, peaceful hotel of just a few rooms with a far more friendly atmosphere than the large chains dotted around the city. The building and the rooms are newly renovated and clean but keep their old world charm. There are a few clunks but nothing that spoiled the stay and for sure next time I'm going back I'll phone here first.

Being old fashioned can be a good thing, for example when you have silver cutlery for your breakfast guests. My room is very nice, the bed is really comfortable, and the high ceiling gives it all the feel of a old city house. Service is very good and personal, the breakfast buffet is also very sufficient. I recommend you try it!

Nice hotel, very friendly employees and good organic breakfast. Location is also very nice, close to the forest and also within walking distance of the center. Dogs are also welcome in the hotel. Too bad there is no restaurant, we missed that. As I have read, they are working on a liquor license, so that we will soon be able to have a drink on the beautiful terrace.

Location is great for what we were looking for. Checking in is easy and the place is very clean and pretty big. Wasn't super easy to find but not complicated as well.

The room and the location was good. There is no complain about the hotel itself. Netto is right opposite the hotel. I always find it good to have a departmental store nearby. The bus station is in 2-3 min walk. Just I think that the bus is never on time in Mönchengladbach. There is a Cafeteria beside the hotel. Good to have your morning coffee. This was a hard hotel to access we arrived late after a long journey, not manned at early hours in the morning we had difficulty logging into our rooms via the access machine and our phone, others were struggling also. We spent a football weekend at this hotel. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, although they are in need of some renovation. The furniture is a bit dated, but this doesn't affect the comfort. We particularly enjoyed the excellent breakfast – a great start to the day.

Unfortunately, everything is very old and worn. Stained floors. Unpleasant smells. Dirty elevator. Very old room furnishings. Not enough parking spaces.

Booked a room 3 weeks in advance for match night(BMG vs Bayern). When I arrived they told me that there was a mistake and that all the rooms had been booked up - no rooms left for me.
