Pflugwirts Hotel und Gasthaus in Oberkirch

The hotel is located in a beautiful and peaceful area. Everything was very clean and well-organized. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a great stay – highly recommended!

Good hotel with helpful staff. Hotel is in good shape and room was big and clean. Restaurant downstairs and good breakfast. Gluten free bread available on request. About 40min drive from Strasbourg with a lot cheaper prices than Strasbourg. Good Price for The room as well. Situated in a small town.

Exactly what you would expect of a good German Gasthaus.

Our room was a lovely family suit. Personnel are really helpful. Nice breakfast with regional products. I definitely recommend the place.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was delicious—definitely worth trying! Highly recommend for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Was a very nice high end boutique hotel.. staff is very friendly and accommodating.. great breakfast in the morning. Did not have dinner there but looked amazing and they were fully booked on Saturday/sunday niggt so reservation is probably needed..

It was a great place to stay with a family of 4. We got the full German experience. The rooms don’t have AC and they are laid out like German apartments, so it gave us an authentic experience. The restaurant was really good, but be sure to get reservations for dinner. It fills up fast.

It was a little hot due to no A/C but it cooled off nicely in the evening. It is located in a quiet neighborhood so we could leave the windows and balcony door open all night.
Breakfast in the morning was nice too.

Literally a breath of fresh air, in a charming little * real * village.

Last-night we stopped here for a night off from castles and touristed cobblestones, on our way to France. This hotel has an 1840 establishment sign on it, but seems completely modern, which was nice for a change. And also completely clean, with very tasteful sparse decorations.

Unlike the Bavarian towns we stayed in, the air was clean and the night quiet, without trucks rumbling and braking and spewing exhaust all night.

We had 2 rooms (1 for kids). The bathrooms were spotless and no mildew or residual smells. The beds were neither too hard or too soft, though maybe a bit firm for some side sleepers.

The breakfast was very good, and in contrast to most, a sweet elderly frau makes you fresh eggs, instead of scooping from a 3 hour old buffet pan. It’s a small hotel, so was refreshingly quiet breakfast.

Outside is a nice gardened courtyard to sit in a breeze. We had 2 nice decks to sit outside our 2nd floor room, so could pick the one w a breeze.

I kind of wish we had another day to relax here, and have leisurely walk around, it was so nice here.

The frosting on the cake was taking a wrong turn a km or so down the road, and looking up to see a hotel with SIX huge storks nests on top of it! (Storks included, including 1 feeding it’s young).

Cons - no Air Conditioning, like virtually all of Germany that we’ve been to. But the 2 places we were at w AC, it was terrible. And this hotel cooled rapidly, and had fans ready to use.

In sum: great place to stay for some relaxation away from packed tourist towns!
