We are guests at the Goldener Pfropfenzieher and can only say positive things. Owner and staff super friendly. Rooms are well equipped and the bathroom is practical and attractive. I stayed here in April when there wasn't another tourist in sight and the hospitality was amazing! They weren't open for dinner but I was recommended a great place to dine. We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel . The rooms were clean , tidy and comfortable. The service in the restaurant was excellent as was the food a bonus was the wine . The proprietor has his own vineyard and produces a fine range of wines on the premises. One if the suggested hiking routes passed the hotel door. So all in all first class. N N .

Owners Sybille & Stefan are great. They speak great English and are very helpful with suggestions and directions. The pension is very close to towncenter. The price is affordable and the rooms are very clean. I highly recommend this pension if you are staying Bacharach.

Good value for the money. This is a Rick Steves recommendation. The rooms are quiet and clean but the beds aren't the most comfortable. The breakfast is very nice, though, as are the hosts. Its an easy and pretty walk into Bacharach. Go in the fall during harvest to taste the federweiser and enjoy the beautiful colors of the vineyards.

This is a great place to stay and they have bikes and breakfast and it's a great price! They are super nice and I highly recommend staying here! Just don't try to bike to Koblenz (turns out its 52 miles round trip). You will feel like you're dying :P

Solid choice for Bacharach: The inn is right in the heart of the village with its picturesque facade. Service and facilities are good but could be freshened up. The room decor is a bit dated. Good value for money right now. The breakfast is good and I enjoyed dinner at the restaurant as well.

This is a wonderful family run(4 generations), hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable.The location is right in the center of town, yet quiet and peaceful. We spent two nights here and had a great time. Bacharach really does look like it's out of a fairy tale - so cute! The hotel is very traditional on the ground floor but the rooms are very up to date and modern. The restaurant served our best meals of our whole Germany trip. Be sure to reserve ahead of time!

The rooms are very comfortable and clean, with aircon which is very important in summer! The host is very nice and friendly! Loved our stay there Could improve the blackout curtains, they don't cover the whole window so the sunlight shines through in the morning.

Great hotel. We showed up without a booking and they gave us the keys to check the room out before agreeing to take it. Pool was great to cool down after a very hot day. Loses a star as there were 2 single beds pushed together (like you get in most of Europe) but they were not secured properly and came apart.

I cannot say enough how amazing this place was!!!! The staff was nice and really took care of us. The breakfast was great. We were traveling with our 7 month old daughter and 6 year old son and they even made up a baby crib for us and had other supplies for the baby. This hotel has a charming little history. The rooms are large and the rooms are in good shape. The included breakfast is wonderful.
