Hotels in Sankt Goar

I wish if lift goes to all floors. Since I had carry up heavy luggages by steps from ground to the 1st floor and another steep steps ffom the highest floor for the lift on the 3rd floor to upper floor where the room was located, I twisted and injured my knee. Not serious I hope, but may take time to recover. Everything else was wonderful. Very good accommodation.

We spent three nights at the hotel. The entire property is very well maintained, and the location is excellent especially during meals, as the view of the Rhine is absolutely stunning. The spa area is on the smaller side. There are only four loungers in the pool area, and the sauna is also a bit small. The rooms aren’t extraordinary, but they are clean and well kept. The food menu is not extensive...

Spent 2 nights in a comfort room and standard room. Both great nights, very comfy beds. Great river views. To be honest I'm not sure what the difference between the price categories was, but either way prices were reasonable and we were happy. Didn't try restaurant as reviews were poor. Had 2x meals in the town.

Breakfast was scarce, no eggs, no fruit, no water, takes 30 min for them to refill anything. No natural water, get yelled at for trying to drink or ask for anything at breakfast. Castle closed, was not notified as we are with a large group specifically for the castle when we all booked. Bar closes very early. Would not recommend. There are plenty of other nice places with friendly good service than...

I stayed in an attic room because I wanted to try it out. The view of the Rhine River was amazing. The room was clean and quiet, so I was able to relax. The food was delicious, and the view was great.

Nice little town on Rhine River with a lot of history. Off season is very slow, not much open but this hotel still charges full top dollar prices for tiny rooms. The prices in the restaurant are also high. You can stay and dine at nicer places cheaper.

This Hotel has the best food anywhere on the Rhein river. Service is great and friendly at a decent price. As with any hotel along the river dealing with railroad, street and river commerce traffic has it's drawbacks but if your exhausted from traveling all day noise won't matter. No Vegas style hotel here, this is a typical old fashion European hotel. Great for a short one or two night stay centrally...

Our stay, was very good, but our room was on the second floor, and after you get in the room you have another 10 stairs uncomfterball. It was very hard with the bags.

It’s actually a lovely hotel, and the staff are very friendly, but for the price there were some issues with the rooms. There is no AC or ability to turn off the heat and the pillows and blankets were tiny. This is a minor complaint but it’s such an easy fix…

We stayed in a family room with two separate sleeping areas. The room had gorgeous views of the Rhine River and a castle! There was ample parking. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Very beautiful location and very beautiful facility. The panoramic room was modern and cozy at the same time. Very clean with very friendly and helpful staff, and a magnificent view of the Rhine right outside the window.

Very nice host who was super motivated to get me something vegan to eat and even tried to consider my fructose intolerance. That was pretty surprising. He was very chatty and helpful in general. Only spent 2 days there, but if I would go to sankt Goar again, I'd be for sure try to go there again!

Schnitzel and Pike fish - recommended! Also three ways to cook potatoes. Stay away from red wine, however.

Lovely hotel facing the Rhein with very friendly and helpful owner. The hotel is right on the Rhein by the ferry with nice views. A nice hotel by the riverfront. The breakfast and room were nice. However, they didn't take credit card during checkout. They only take credit card for deposit but they only take cash for checkout.

A very nice country Inn in the heart of St. Goar. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The Breakfast was rich. The Restaurant offers a good selection of dishes, prepared with much love. We were already twice with the entire Flasdieck Crew from Oberhausen ( 15 Pers. ) in the vine at Uli and Peter. The house has atmosphere and is run with a lot of heart blood and dedication. We had dinner in the restaurant. The food was very tasty and nice; we ate everything. The waiter was also very nice with a sense of humour (from Marosvásárhely/Románia) and he recognised our speech when we were talking in Hungarian. The only reason I took 1 star; we could not pay with card, only with cash. In 2021 using cash in a hotel restaurant is not an option...

The rooms were reasonably furnished in a modern style, the bathrooms, the age of the building is set up accordingly. Wir haben hier zu Abend gegessen. Habe den Pfälzer Saumagen mit Sauerkraut und Bratkartoffeln genommen. Sehr lecker, vorallem das Sauerkraut war sehr gut. Allerdings waren gerade die Portionen der Beilagen sehr gering ausgefallen.

The food is Great after coming down the Rhine River from Mainz. Alot of shops to get gifts for friends and family. The RHINE WINES are available in most hotels and all restaurants . It's a great turn around spot to head back up the Rhine River

Very nice hosts. Restaurant furniture is a bit old, but has its charm. Breakfast was delicious. Everything you need. If something is missing, just ask the innkeepers, they make everything possible. Bicycles can be parked in the basement.

We are guests at the Goldener Pfropfenzieher and can only say positive things. Owner and staff super friendly. Rooms are well equipped and the bathroom is practical and attractive. As the only guests plus one other guest, we were able to enjoy a rich breakfast buffet. The dishes are very tasty 😋 but also very rich. Thank you for a nice and relaxed weekend. We would love to come back.

I stayed with my young family of 4 for one night on our road trip down to Tuscany. What a unique experience to stay in such a wonderful castle. We loved the food especially the spaghetti. We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel . The rooms were clean , tidy and comfortable. The service in the restaurant was excellent as was the food a bonus was the wine . Superb cuisine, service, and ambience.

Finally a restaurant in this region which doesn't seem to be stuck in the late 80's/early 90's in terms of its cuisine. The dishes are mostly based on regional products and every single dish we had was absolutely delicious. Best restaurant I've been to so far in this region. Also very reasonable prices for the quality offered.

Good tourist class hotel. National coach holidays used the Wagner in place of the Kurfurst which has been permanently closed due to the cost of updating its fire control plan with the local fire brigade. Hotel had a stand alone outside lift which helps folk get to their rooms along with internal lifts but not to the restaurant which has stairs that must be used to gain access. Good location, traditional and vintage place with the basic needs to stay for a short time , the room small but cozy, very colorful. Great value for the money. We arrived at 11.00 in the evening. We couldnt find a reception, because it doesnt have a sign on the door, but there was someone to help us out with the keys.

Great place to stay if you're in the Rhine Valley. Nice people, good breakfast, great rooms.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3-nights-stay here. Had booked the Deluxe Suite with Whirlpool. While the decor may not be to everyone's taste - the bed was huge and comfortable, the shower was spacious and luxurious. The breakfast buffet was extensive and offered something for everyone. Would absolutely recommend!

Historic hotel in a perfect location. New renovations are very nice, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was well stocked with all the normal things! Staff was very friendly went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended

We had an excellent stay here. They are going for a boutique hotel vibe. The location is perfect; it’s right in the center of town. Air conditioning worked great which is hard to come by in Germany. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious. Room was spacious and felt luxurious. Highly recommend!

Great place, an historical building that was the most elegant and it's still the best in town. The food is very traditional, but of high quality. Even though I'm not a big fan of meaty traditional German food, here I had the best Sauerbraten so far. The service is friendly and welcoming. Will come back again!

Solid choice for Bacharach: The inn is right in the heart of the village with its picturesque facade. Service and facilities are good but could be freshened up. The room decor is a bit dated. Good value for money right now. The breakfast is good and I enjoyed dinner at the restaurant as well.

This is a wonderful family run(4 generations), hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable.The location is right in the center of town, yet quiet and peaceful. The daily breakfast is very tasty, with so many choices. It is included in the price of your room. You can't miss this "on the Rhine" location. We wish we could have spent more time here, and left feeling like family!

We had an incredible lunch here and partook in a wine tasting. It was a little under 18 euro and it came with 6 mini carafes of wine. There were different options depending on what your taste in wine was, so you can adjust your order to your preference. For lunch, the pumpkin cream soup was amazing. Honestly so delicious. I would have liked it if came with a slice of two of bread but the wine tasting...

Perfect!!! We stayed in one of their apartments, it was clean and had EVERYTHING you would ever need. WE LOVED IT!!!! Location can’t be beat and the staff was nothing but wonderful, especially the young man at front desk!!!!! Just can’t say enough positive about this place!!! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES ? Hope to return soon!.

The Hotel is as described, directly on the river Rhine. The Outward appearance indicates the very modern style, which can be found throughout the building. Here Parking is available for guests and ample, and next to the Hotel. Directly next to the Hotel, the beer garden is located. Here are 100 of people have about enough space. The beer garden alone, his optics to linger. Here it should be mentioned...

De ligging, centrum goed aan te lopen . Balkon met uitzicht over de rivier . De stilte . Schoon hotel met vriendelijk personeel . Heerlijk ontbijt.

The food was quite limited and sometimes slightly salty, the room sizes were inadequate and the WIFI was unfunctioning. I was staying as part of a school trip so I suppose usually the food is to a better standard and that less beds would be in one room. The views were very nice though, with the balcony overlooking the River Rhine. So it is adequate to stay in but things could be improved upon.

Stayed here on a trip with the school. Very good for school parties. Some rooms could do with refurbishment. Food was OK, but the buffet was too small for the number of people using it.

Good budget hotel if you're a keen traveller and don't mind a bit of mismatch ajd just a good place to rest your head. No frills as such and slightly dusty etc. Pretty good food msotly and a great place for large groups to stay.
