Great place, an historical building that was the most elegant and it's still the best in town. The food is very traditional, but of high quality. Even though I'm not a big fan of meaty traditional German food, here I had the best Sauerbraten so far. The service is friendly and welcoming. Will come back again!

Solid choice for Bacharach: The inn is right in the heart of the village with its picturesque facade. Service and facilities are good but could be freshened up. The room decor is a bit dated. Good value for money right now. The breakfast is good and I enjoyed dinner at the restaurant as well.

This is a wonderful family run(4 generations), hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable.The location is right in the center of town, yet quiet and peaceful. The daily breakfast is very tasty, with so many choices. It is included in the price of your room. You can't miss this "on the Rhine" location. We wish we could have spent more time here, and left feeling like family!

We had an incredible lunch here and partook in a wine tasting. It was a little under 18 euro and it came with 6 mini carafes of wine. There were different options depending on what your taste in wine was, so you can adjust your order to your preference. For lunch, the pumpkin cream soup was amazing. Honestly so delicious. I would have liked it if came with a slice of two of bread but the wine tasting...

Perfect!!! We stayed in one of their apartments, it was clean and had EVERYTHING you would ever need. WE LOVED IT!!!! Location can’t be beat and the staff was nothing but wonderful, especially the young man at front desk!!!!! Just can’t say enough positive about this place!!! Wonderful little place. The room was fine for the three of us, plus our little dog. Warm welcome an courteous an professional service all along. Great breakfast, even under COVID rules. If anything, a bit noisy due to rail tracks nearby.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3-nights-stay here. Had booked the Deluxe Suite with Whirlpool. While the decor may not be to everyone's taste - the bed was huge and comfortable, the shower was spacious and luxurious. The breakfast buffet was extensive and offered something for everyone. Would absolutely recommend!

Historic hotel in a perfect location. New renovations are very nice, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was well stocked with all the normal things! Staff was very friendly went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended

We had an excellent stay here. They are going for a boutique hotel vibe. The location is perfect; it’s right in the center of town. Air conditioning worked great which is hard to come by in Germany. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious. Room was spacious and felt luxurious. Highly recommend!

The rooms are very comfortable and clean, with aircon which is very important in summer! The host is very nice and friendly! Loved our stay there Could improve the blackout curtains, they don't cover the whole window so the sunlight shines through in the morning.

We stayed here for 3 days and the people that own and operate it couldn't be nicer! Highly recommend it. Since it is an older building pack light because there is no elevator, but it's a great place to stay!

I stayed with my young family of 4 for one night on our road trip down to Tuscany. What a unique experience to stay in such a wonderful castle. We loved the food especially the spaghetti. We stay in a queen room which was large and well appointed. The grounds and view are superb. Very friendly staff too. Great stay.

Wow wow wow. This is a wonderful place to stay. Fabulous views over the Rhine from some rooms and dinner on the terrace. Food at dinner was good, nice touches in room like free sherry and water. No hot drink facilities but they will give you a flask if you have your own tea/coffee. Beautiful experience as a family of 4. Last stayed here in the same room when I was the age of my 10 year old daughter and it was just as magical. So well maintained. Just as I remembered it. The shampoo in our room was empty and the door to our room was hard to close. On the other hand, the room was spacious, nicely decorated, and breakfast was very good. Overall, nice hotel for a good price.

We had dinner in the restaurant. The food had a very good taste. Quality and quantity were good as well. The waiter was also nice and friendly. Finally, on our 3rd evening in the area, we could pay by card (Maestro).

Wir haben hier zu Abend gegessen. Habe den Pfälzer Saumagen mit Sauerkraut und Bratkartoffeln genommen. Sehr lecker, vorallem das Sauerkraut war sehr gut. Allerdings waren gerade die Portionen der Beilagen sehr gering ausgefallen.

The food is Great after coming down the Rhine River from Mainz. Alot of shops to get gifts for friends and family. The RHINE WINES are available in most hotels and all restaurants . It's a great turn around spot to head back up the Rhine River

Very nice host who was super motivated to get me something vegan to eat and even tried to consider my fructose intolerance. That was pretty surprising. He was very chatty and helpful in general. Only spent 2 days there, but if I would go to sankt Goar again, I'd be for sure try to go there again!

Very nice small hotel and restaurant. Third generation family business led by Sebastion who is the head chef. He is very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our food and stay very much. Sebastion loaned us his bicycles and advice for a wonderful tour.

I stayed in an attic room because I wanted to try it out. The view of the Rhine River was amazing. The room was clean and quiet, so I was able to relax. The food was delicious, and the view was great.

Nothing could have been better- the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was comfy, quiet, and clean, and as for the location - it's a CASTLE, it's in the best spot for the best views (they wanted to make sure no one was sneaking up on them, we just want to see the beauty of the area).

Beautiful location, excellent facilities and friendly staff. I travelled by bike with my family and they offered us a locked place to store the bikes overnight which is a big plus. The view from the restaurant and the terrace is stunning. Highly recommended!

The Title is an old Danish saying, and it fits in perfectly, as the Hotel owner, Pernille is also Danish, making sure all guests are taking good care of. Beautiful hotel with a great view of the Rhine. Comfortable bed and very nice bathroom. This historic hotel is well-preserved and is fun to experience. The trains are frequent and loud throughout the night, so this may not be the right place for light sleepers or if you forgot your earplugs. Rooms are not air conditioned, but you can request a fan. Friendly staff at check-in.

Wonderful place. We stayed in comfort double room, with a beautiful river view. Clean, cosy, very light (2 windows), all small things available. Comfortable bike parking in the garage. Welcoming staff, also speaking English. Only downside (as in all hotels along the river) - if you open the window you can hear also the road.
