Traveling for business 2 times per year, the service is great, good food, rooms very clean, room service perfect

a throw back to another epoch with staff and furniture from years gone by. A good restaurant serving fine dining with several set menu options to choose from

We chose to go the weekend when there was a music festival and the fire alarm went off at 5:15. Chose this as a restful break. Would like to return to see if it could be great.

The property is really a restaurant with rooms, they seem to have bought up houses ether side, we were in haus 3, there were at least four others mostly accessed from the street. Our room was huge, large sitting area, with sofa and two chairs, very comfortable. Didn’t eat in the restaurant, breakfast was good, excellent value.

Had dinner here tonight. Food was great but had to go to the bar to order a drink twice. Service was poor.

Rooms are adequate and clean. Reception member could barely speak or understand english. And I think it is overpriced for what you get and in comparison to what I experienced at other hotels in Numberg with B.fast included.

Owner can be difficult, pushy almost. We would set an appointment, then he would bug my wife to no end about the time, or changing the time, or this or that. He also messed up the VAT form, or he was dishonest about the price in the first place. I still haven't figured out which. However, the apartment was decent and right next to the lake.

This is a hidden gem. The room was fantastic. It was very spacious with a refrigerator and ceiling fan. The bed was very comfortable with night stands and plugs on both sides. We had a beautiful balcony overlooking the forest leading up to the castle. The balcony was very private and had chairs and a little table. There was a huge wardrobe and a desk. This hotel is wonderful! I called half an hour before they closed desperate for a room for my son and I. This was the absolute cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. And I travel a lot. The owners are wonderful, helpful and accommodating hosts. The fresh breakfast is a great way to start the day. The hotel is in walking distance of all sorts of bars, restaurants and of course the castle. This is a great all around hotel.

A good B&B near to Ramstein. I had a comfortable room, complete with fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable and I had a great shower. The breakfast was good. Plenty of free parking outside. The wireless was not great which was the only downside. I'd stay here again if in the area.

We have stayed here for extended periods of time. This is the only hotel in which I will stay. The innkeeper, Michael, does a wonderful job of making you feel at home and helping you to find your way around. He has a wonderful staff and we definitely felt like family.

Very friendly staff, good meals, and located in a good area. Breakfast and lunch were well made, but the price for the special (9,10) seemed a little much for my lunch. Did taste great though! Almost non-existent in the room, drops in and out when you do get a signal, and only consistently works on the reception...

Great communication and check-in method. Very clean with the exception of hair on the sheets and covers. Easy for taxi to find. Staff is quiet and allows you to relax and enjoy your stay.

Amazing hotel with wonderful staff. Breakfast was delicious. Dinner was incredible. The steak was flawless. Gabriel and Johannes are incredible human and great bar tenders. Great conversations. If I ever come back to this area, this is where I will stay.

The Hotel Merkur is a wonderful place. The staff is amazing, the food was great, and the bar was always hopping. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the Ramstein area.

The hotel was lovely and walking distance to everything we planned on doing. The breakfast was outstanding and even had crispy bacon, not normal in most European hotels - it’s usually undercooked and floppy. This place has been here for over 25 years serving the American military. What can I say, as the breakfast is the best with eggs, sausage, bacon and yes salmon. They do have fresh cut fruit and tasty coffee. The rooms are large with ac, fridge, and microwave.

We use this hotel regularly as they are very welcoming and a pleasant place to stay.

Had a one night stop over and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Ivan was especially understanding and couldn’t have been more accommodating as my child was unwell and made us feel a lot less frantic which we really appreciate. Thank you again!

The B&B is a great alternative to more expensive hotel options in Kaiserslautern. Parking directions to back of hotel should be prime otherwise sat nav brings you to the front door and it means a long way to return to a right turn into the car park. Left turn-in is not allowed so need to go round the roundabout and under the rail bridge again.

The room was clean and the facilities were good. Hotels in Kaiserslautern are expensive. A hotel like this is 400 RMB per day, which is OK. There is no other way but such a hotel is already cheap in the local area. The location is good and the transportation is convenient.

My room was clean and a good size. It had a small fridge and tea / coffee making facilities. The best aspects of this hotel were the location, easy access to the hotel with individual code and the host/ owner. The owner went out of his way to help and I was able to leave my case in the room all day and pick it up on the ground floor.

All good aside from the shower drain being clogged and flooding part of the room. I had to clear up hair from the last 100 guests to fix the problem. Dried out the room with the towels. Great hotel. I love the concept where you don't need to see people to check-in. The rooms are very clean. Good AC. Great bathroom. And the beds are also very good. We just stayed for 1 night. The decor in the suite is lovely. The staff are friendly, welcoming and professional. We stayed in the family suite and the second room did not have a door. The tea/coffee station in the suite is very limited. The breakfast offering is great, unfortunately the breakfast room is too narrow.

We stayed here twice on our way to Italy and back home. Both times a warm welcome! I see people's comments on traffic noise but I personally had zero issues with this. The heat may be a challenge in the summer but the rooms had fans (no airco!). Plenty of wineries to visit as well 😁
