We were all very friendly, and breakfast was prepared earlier for us. I felt very comfortable there. Unfortunately the stay was far too short.

A small hotel next to the waterfall in Saarburg. The room was basic but clean but the general look in the hallways was tired. The staff were friendly. The restaurant was fine with a small Italian-esque menu which was nothing special. The waiter assured me my salad was gluten-free but the cramps the next day said different.

We've stayed at the Sonnenhof a number of times, it's always a pleasure - well decorated rooms, good food, helpful staff. Nice terrace for sitting outside. The only downside in the summer is that the nearby road seems to have infrequent but regular traffic, and with bedroom windows open it can be a little disturbing.

Very pricey, but excellent food, service and location. Despite being close to a major inter-city street, the location is secluded and calm, placed in a bit of forest. We ordered from the BBQ smoker menu and were very satisfied with the quality of the food. The outside sitting area has a great atmosphere. Nice little hotel. Well suited for people who want to hike and bike. The highlight of the hotel is the beautiful pool which we unfortunately could not use because the weather did not cooperate. But the owner and the whole crew are very nice and persistent and child-friendly.

Been here just for a weekend, feeling like a week of relaxed holidays. Super kind personnel reading your wishes just from your eyes. Very good, comfortable and cozy place. There no numbers on rooms but the name of places. Rooms are large and good, makes u feel like you're at home. Also good for family. Very friendly and helpful staff

Check-in was done using machines, which was very difficult as we arrived very late and didn't have enough battery on our cell phones to get some information.

For the British visitor this hotel is a German experience in the very best sense. The rooms are spotless and decorated in a charming, homely style. The restaurant is excellent and the beer quite superb. The service is excellent and friendly. The only small snag is that it is a little away from the centre but there is a local bus service and good parking so this is a minor issue.
