It was a nice hotel with reasonable price in between the mountain with good view. Recommended.

rooms was just ok .. but sauna and other facilities are good..

Is very strange to find nice people on Germany and here they were very nice and friendly. Also the room was very nice my only recommendation is to include a fan since the balcony is shared and opening the door maybe is not an option

The staffs were super friendly. The hotel was great. German traditional hotel gull of woods, which was pretty amazing. It had a good Restaurant as well. Location was good and surrounded by nature.

Much of this hotel is quality, but certain details let it down. It does not cater well for children, as the clientele is older generally. There is a slaughterhouse opposite the hotel which slaughters pigs and the noise is quite disturbing. The half board does not include children, so costs can escalate. Most loungers by the pool are reserved all day. Free drinks are limited, only full sugar drinks...

Good place to stay, rly nice and helpful owner - they speak English(!) working internet. Tasty breakfast.

Great, newly renovated rooms and very clean. Nice and friendly hosts. Breakfast was delicious and perfectly adequate. Wifi works perfectly. Local food and drinks (1+) until 8:30 pm! Very well. Will come back, as far as the booking allows.

Rating only refers to the cafe and the ambience. Just wanted to have a quick coffee after a walk through the village and stopped by the Hotel Cafe Restaurant Zum Kranz. Ambience takes a bit of getting used to. It felt like time had stopped there. Coffee was good and the price was okay too.

Situated out of town this is a cheap and cheerful little german hotel. The staff were lovely. They spoke little english but you know what, You're in Germany, get over it and around it. Some might say it needs updating , but i think the 70s look was actually lush. It was super clean and tidy and well appointed rooms. The food was really good and our waiter was amazing. Attentive, kept a careful eye...

Nice, clean and affordable hotel specially if you get an offer of 2 rooms together. However, WiFi was only available in the reception not inside rooms. It is nice if somebody wants to stay in the middle of the black forest away from noisy cities but it can also feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. However, the nearest town Freudenstadt is not too far.

A great place to stay and to explore the Northern Black Forest. Rooms are large and confortable and the restaurant is superb, really above average. Dishes are well presented an innovative. The hotel is very quiet at night and has no rooms facing the street (almost no traffic at night). You can have lunch until 4p.m. Dogs are allowed (!?)

We did not stay at the hotel but it is a very nice one. We dined at the restaurant. Food and service were excellent. It was very elegant. I would return there again.

We stayed for 10 days in a category E room, very beautiful room and nice view from the big balcony. The breakfast is good, we only had once dinner as we where a bit disappointed. The sauna and swimming pool are great.

We were there in 2013 before our first child was born. We had a great stay! Now, we are going back in 2024 as a family of four and we are really excited it.

Food was unbelievable. Facilities we're amazing. Pool was a refreshing start to the day! Staff we're very friendly. Picturesque location and easy to access via car. A good selection of wines and beers too.

Staff very friendly. The room Size was found in order, only the bed I as too small. The balcony was three rooms are accessible without separation. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, it was awakened by reconstruction measures, at 7.30 am.

We spent 3 wonderful days, the hotel, the restaurant, the spa, the staff, the owners are all at your service. C' was 3 days in paradise. We can only advise this place and enjoy the well being which you invaded. We we will return.

Was driving through the Black Forest when I saw this lodge on the side of the road, just what I was looking for. It turned out to be the best decision I made the whole trip. Great atmosphere, even better food. A 5-star resort tucked away in the hills, a true diamond in the rough.

Tranquility in the midst of the forest and next to a sizable natural pond with swans. Perfect for nature lover and a relaxing stay or to explore the surroundings. Restaurant is great, very nice service and very good food. I had a pleasant stay with my family and ended up extending our stay.

Best place for dinner in southwest Germany. The regional food is exceptionally good and tasty. I haven't been to a better place for this kind of typical regional and unpretentious food. I don't know about the Hotel but the views on the little lake and the setting seems quite idyllic and typical for the National Park of the Black Forest.

Very nice facilities, clean rooms and bathrooms, good room service, and wonderful breakfast! Had to only give 3 stars unfortunately because the beds were so uncomfortable and the pillows were unusable. Just a little update for beds and pillows and I would stay again!

There weren't many good options for an overnight stay in Freudenstadt, so we were happy to find this hotel for the first night of our 3 day/2 night Black Forest tour. Our room was spacious and included a refrigerator, the TV had family friendly channels for our son, the shower was hot with good water pressure, the bed was pretty comfortable, and everything was clean. Lovely traditional German hotel in the suburbs of Freudenstadt. It had a bath with shower over, which was slippery and rather outdated nowadays. Good underground parking. Large, spacious bedroom - very quiet and comfortable. Excellent fresh breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff, plus a nice free indoor swimming pool. Good value too at around €85 for two including breakfast. I'd be happy to stay here...

It was a wonderful and very relaxing stay with very very friendly staff. The bathrooms are somewhat outdated, but clean and well maintained. We will definitely make again there on vacation.

Although located outside of the town, it is a pretty walkable distance to the town centre (Less than 20 mins depending on how fast you walk) but do note that it's not flat. It's close to a few forest walks, a mini golf course and also on the way to Keinburg. Nice view of the black forest and Freudenstadt. The room we had was quite old school but decent for the price. Bathrobes were provided but there...

Hotel Teuchelwald is a wonderful place to stay. It is built on a Hill with greeny Parks and flowers. It has a hot swimming pool. An excellent Kirchen and bar with the best rooms. Perfect place to stay in Freudenstadt.

Nice place for a few nights. Varied continental breakfast. I personally found the bed too hard and the room was facing the main street so it was noisy. Room was very clean and smelt good. The shower screen door was broken but a very clean bathroom. Nice staff. Good central location

Stayed here during a bike trip in the Black Forest. It was a great experience, and a fantastic value. Right in the middle of Freudenstadt - what more could you ask for?

Sehr nettes Hotel. Nach etwas unscheinbarem Eingangsbereich, hatten wir ein Riesenzimmer im 4. Stock das keine Wünsche offen ließ. Freunde bekamen eher spärliche Zimmer muss man ehrlich sagen, deshalb vlt. eher nur drei Sterne. Aber sehr freundliches Personal und gutes Frühstücksbüffet.

Fantastic hotel, lovely clean rooms. The lady on reception was brilliant a great sense of humor and very efficient. Nice lock up garage for our motorcycles at minimal cost. Food was pretty good. Loved the lift.

Convenient for the heart of Freudenstadt, comfortable and with some parking available, I have only good things to comment about for this hotel. Owners and staff are very friendly and respectful.

Well presented rooms, bike parking adjacent to the building and felt secure. Centered in the town of Freudenstadt Breakfast as usual was varied and tasty Didnt eat dinner in the restaurant but ventured into the town square where we had an exceptional meal.

The hotel is great. A short walk takes you into the forests. The recent refurbish is tip top. The dining area is very nice. Breakfast hit the mark, every morning. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. Evening meals where also very nice. Pool is great for children and the SPA area was very relaxing. We have been here now five times. Significant money has been spent recently on this place. The dining area is absolutely gorgeous with no expense spared and the breakfast was lovely. The rooms have been tastefully updated to high quality standards and it's a very peaceful setting at night. It's only a 3 or 4 minute drive into the center of town

2 years old in a converted council tower block this is from first appearances turn up and drive away quicker than you arrived, but it was late in the day. This is truly a memorable hotel. funky decor in reception and rooms. massive comfy beds and a whopper of a TV very cool atmospheric lighting free movies and free fridge. no kettle so lucky we had our travelling one and tea bags. free pool tables...

We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was spotlessly clean. The team is warm, attentive, and creates a family atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The food was fantastic—freshly prepared, delicious, and cooked with palpable passion. Our stay was absolutely wonderful, and we're already looking forward to our next time!

We stayed at the hotel over the weekend and were completely satisfied with everything... No matter whether it was the room, breakfast or the service... Very nice hosts. That's why I can't understand some of the bad reviews at all... If you look at others Treated the way you would like it to be treated yourself, there are no problems.... We will definitely be guests there again.

The three of us came completely wet and dirty from a mountain bike tour. We would still be offered a place independently. The hostess? showed us a room where we could change. During our meal, which was very tasty, our things were briefly washed and dried. SUPER SERVICE. Here, hospitality and service is not just a job but a calling. We'll come back when we're nearby.

Very nice and personable hosts. Our room was super clean and that goes for the entire house. Our palates were delighted with the meal and the house dessert was a stunner. The breakfast was also plentiful and after this we were driven to our station to continue walking along the Westweg. Overall a very successful stay :) Thank you very much!

My family and I are returning after Christmas with the family Schmelzle. I opted for the venison medallions with homemade dumplings and cranberries. Absolutely excellent, authentic, and traditional black forest cuisine. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair. Highly recommended.

The reviews and the website promised a little too much. But okay for the price. The facility no longer meets the current standards. The staff all made up for this with their friendliness.

Nestled away from all traffic and surrounded by forest, adorned with a beautiful wooded park that can be enjoyed as well as the 1500m2 of SPA and swimming pool area. A family welcome in all the nobility of the term and a cuisine that is well worth French tables. Amply justified value for money. A great discovery that I recommend.

Excellent Hotel with super rooms, very nice and pleasant Spa area, really friendly staff and children are welcome and can belong after 2 days, almost to the family. Also a great location to the ski lift Kniebis ( about 150m). And the food was really a dream. Since we would like to go again.

A family run place where people are heartily welcome. A good choice of meat but try their typical plates . We all had hirsch and it was really yummy with cranberries and a sort of pasta as side dish. Good choice of dessert but the best was the apple pie.
