PLAZA Premium Schwerin; Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western in Schwerin

The hotel is located between two major roads and a railway track.
We had booked 2 rooms with a sea view and that was it, on the other side of the four-lane road.
A lot of dust on the back of the couch, piles of dust in the corners behind the curtains in both rooms, there were loose electrical cords hanging under the sink.
The rooms appear to be fairly recently renovated and the focus has been on aesthetics, not function. You can't turn off the bedside light when you're in bed, if you run out of toilet paper you won't be able to reach it from the toilet, there were loose electrical cords under the basin and there's nowhere to put your toiletries in the bathroom.
We had been instructed by the staff to book in a way that turned out not to be rewards based.
The staff tried, the management who is in the absence of customer perspective, make strange decisions and are not interested in any kind of accommodating, because it is so stipulated in their rules, as we were told:)
The management apologized and pointed out that it was really the fault of the staff who had misinformed me, which in itself is disgusting.
That attitude from the management and the handeling of my issue means that I will never be able to recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.
