I'll start with what went less well: The noise insulation of the room was bad. We could hear the people in the next room talking, and we could clearly tell what TV channel they were watching. I'm guessing it was an elderly couple, as they woke up at 7am and would watch TV until the breakfast buffet started at 8am. Two nights in a row, that I didn't get a full nights sleep. I felt so safe when staying at Hotel Speicher am Ziegelsee. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was allergy free and safe. For us the best hotel in Schwerin. Of course not in the center, but this is compensated by the location with a view of the lake, service, room and breakfast of very good quality. This was our first visit to this hotel and certainly not the last. Keep up the good work and thank you for a pleasant stay

Fabulous place, just a dream .... silence

Relaxation for body and soul. I enjoyed my stay there very much. The double rooms are a good size, the staff courteous, helpful and nice. Everything was very clean and tidy, also the Spa area. A rich buffet Breakfast, all fresh ingredients for lunch or dinner, good Parking facilities.

Great restaurant with outdoor/garden seating area. Perfect to relax after a long day at the office. Bedrooms need some refresh because they look a bit dated. But the beds are comfy and area is quiet. The WiFi is very weak so don’t rely on it.

We only had dinner at their restaurant and it was wonderful. We are a car club and the 14 of us went there for supper. Many of us ordered their schnitzel and it was very well prepared, light fluffy batter and flattened just enough to tenderize but not too thin to dry out out. Highly recommended.

We has a magical stay in Schwerin at this hotel. It was a beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Our room were large and beautiful and the lake view room on the 3rd floor has an amazing view. Just a short walk to the old city and the castle. I would highly recommend this hotel to all visiting Schwerin.

It’s a nice hotel just at the main train station

The room is old and the bed is really narrow, but the location is very good. You can see it as soon as you exit the train station. It is only 100 meters away from the train station, and the surrounding scenery is very good.

It’s for people who resent electric outlets - there is only one and it’s too far from the bed to plug in a CPAP machine. Wifi is quite bandwidth limited so they can sell you an upgrade. They refused to cancel the breakfast bill when we found out that we would have to leave before the kitchen is open. Bathtub instead of a shower. I have to update my previous review. Because there were very loud guests near our room until 1 am in the morning we could not sleep. Next day we talked to the manager, who took the necessary actions providing us a quiet room. The hot is not to be blame for disrespectful guests.

NH group is nice as always, services, staff, breakfast but NH Schwerin is very far from the city. If you want to bike, you will have to drive around 20-30mins from hotel to the city. If you have car, that would not be problem but still have to drive to the city anyways.

Nice business hotel in Schwerin. Close to the lake and not far from the Schwerin castle. Rooms are wide and clean but they lack details, which a 4* should meet. The breakfast is not cheap but it is worth the price. There is no free parking nearby. For me it is a minus.

The hotel was excellent. Kind staff, clean room, tasty breakfast and nice structure. The only thing is that was a little far from center since I had no car, so it took me 20 minutes walking, but maybe you can catch a bus.

Very nice boutique hotel located right in the city centre. Great wine offering and the hotel also offers parking spaces in the garage which is located in the basement. The garage is quite narrow but a medium sized SUV fits in perfectly.

My husband and I had a fabulous dinner and 1 night stay here. We had the 4 course vegetarian tasting menu which was delicious. The dining room is beautiful and ambience was lovely with a great pianist playing a range of music. Bedroom was nice and spacious and clean, with a comfy bed and no noise from outside. This is an ok budget hotel. But it is described online as a "beach hotel" and promises nice views, which is not accurate. The views are dominated by a parking lot and the lake is blocks away. The rooftop terrace is mostly a place for smokers and the smoke and one needs to keep the windows closed to avoid the smoke drifting into rooms.

Nice clean hotel, not too expensive, friendly staff, walking distance from the castle and other downtown attractions. The room has the minimum but nothing more. No soap/shampoo provided in the shower. Towels are a bit rough to the touch. It's an old building, so it could be noisy if you have loud neighbors.

Very simple equipment! We had a double room with separate beds. The pillows are used to. From approx. at 07:15 it is with the peace past. The Breakfast is acceptable but still capable of expansion.
