I'll start with what went less well: The noise insulation of the room was bad. We could hear the people in the next room talking, and we could clearly tell what TV channel they were watching. I'm guessing it was an elderly couple, as they woke up at 7am and would watch TV until the breakfast buffet started at 8am. Two nights in a row, that I didn't get a full nights sleep. A beautiful hotel by Lake ziegelsee. The hotel had their own boat dock. The view from our room was of the lake. The was spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly, and check in was quick. My only complaint was lack of air conditioning. It was quite warm when we were there even with windows open. Breakfast buffet was good.

We stayed here over NYE. We were lucky enough to be staying in one of the studios, which, of course, is a little more expensive than the regular rooms. But well worth it. Great restaurant with outdoor/garden seating area. Perfect to relax after a long day at the office. Bedrooms need some refresh because they look a bit dated. But the beds are comfy and area is quiet. The WiFi is very weak so don’t rely on it.

Nice big apartment We arrived very late, and oucked up the keys at the bar. We only stayed overnight, so not a lot of interaction with staff. Lication was great for us, between cemetery, cathedral, and palace.

The rooms are excellent, but the breakfast is terrible. For €19, I expect at least a little effort. My impression is that they did everything so that they could say that they have breakfast, without bothering about the details of the taste, not to mention the arrangement.

We had a wonderful evening in the Gourmet Restaurant. The food was excellent, a good choice of wines and the service top. Definitely worth a visit. This charming hotel in the old town is ideally situated for visiting the highlights of Schwerin. A friendly staff, as well as underground parking for the car and bicycles.

For us the „Go to Place“ in Schwerin. Warm welcome, great staff and the rooms are all a bit different from each other in special in their own way. This is an ok budget hotel. But it is described online as a "beach hotel" and promises nice views, which is not accurate. The views are dominated by a parking lot and the lake is blocks away. The rooftop terrace is mostly a place for smokers and the smoke and one needs to keep the windows closed to avoid the smoke drifting into rooms.
