Dated labyrinth of a place. Staff was great, quite clean but hotel is getting a little long in the tooth. Nice view but if no car (ie arrival by train) enjoy the walk up the hill (not). Breakfast was quite varied and good.

Very nice hotel. The room was great, very big with great view. The breakfast and lunch was very good. The personnel very polite and professional. The only problem is that the internet connection was extremely poor. I wasn't able even to open my emails.

This hotel is a precious in the hills! The rooms are great and spacious! I was in a conference and the conference rooms have wonderful views to the hills. The breakfast was very complete and the staff were always looking around to avoid that something could be missing. The lunch buffet was good. The bars are also great. But definitely the best are the top rooms (duplex). I would definitely recommend...

Perfect place for a company meeting. Great rooms and leisure facilities at a great location.

The staff are helpful and friendly, especially for non Germany speaking guests. The breakfast was fantastic with excellent variety of options. Rooms are older and in need of renovation. The lack of A/C in summer months is disappointing and only magnified by rooms with the sleeping area in a loft. A fan would be a great improvement.

Super gelegenes Hotel ( fußläufig alles gut erreichbar Restaurant, Lebensmittel/ Drogerie), sehr nette Servicekräfte, auch der Chef ist sehr nett. Ordentlich geführt und sauber. Beautifull Family Ownerhotel. We stay there for 2 Days. The Chefs are the BEst of the Hotel. I would to taste everey Meal of the Beergarden and Resturant, but it was to Many. In the Evening I meet cool Guys at the Bar. International Guys I think. Take also a Look to the Villages around Sonthofen. They are Beautifull.

Very great pension and nice hosts. Unfortunately, the price of the accommodation has doubled over the past 3 years. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer suitable for shorter trips.

The owner is very friendly, open-minded and puts a lot of love into details. The rooms are modern, well equipped; there are plenty of towels and shower articles available. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast buffet is fantastic! Very varied and very tasty. I would come back anytime.

This friendly, family run Gasthaus is situated in the centre of Sonthofen. I stayed in a single room which was comfortable and very clean. There was a good choice at the breakfast buffet and the restaurant serves very good food and beer.

We spent a few nights at the Alpenhotel as a family with our young son. Our stay was just a dream. The kitchen is excellent, we haven't eaten so well in a long time. The staff is very friendly and tries to fulfill every wish. We would definitely book again.

Prima Familienhotel

Wonderful location. I was there for a wedding. It was the most romantic. It is a place to take as a base to explore the Allgäu. There is a place to buy Bergkäse on the corner that is award winning. Very recommendable.

In August we were guests in the Gams for the first "but not the last time" for a week and felt incredibly comfortable there. Great apartment, super-friendly room staff and a perfectly coordinated service team in the dining room made our stay an all-round successful holiday. Big compliments also to the kitchen "seldom eaten so well and varied for more than a week!" It couldn't be better!

A lovely hotel for families or people who enjoy trekking or biking in the mountains. Friendly staff and great food. Due to the concept of the hotel the rooms can differ in quality, but most appartments are nice and offer enough space for families with younger children. The wellness and swimming area is nice and the fitness room has a lot of machines.

Definitely need a car to get to this hotel location, but they have more than enough car parking spaces. The rooms are nice and spacious, although I would recommend bringing shower gel/shampoo, as these were not provided for us. Very cosy, soft beds and lovely views of the mountains and surrounding area. What makes this hotel so amazing are the hosts/owners of the hotel, who have been more than accommodating...

The rooms are cosy , cleaned, nice view to the mountains and the service is wonderful. All crew is likeable and professional. We stayed in the Christmas period and was perfect. The hotel is quiet, the restaurant is very good and there are some park place aside.

Great experience! The staff is just the most warming and welcoming. I would give more stars if I could. Breakfast is great, altho not always included in price. Could be more parking space, but it's a fairly small village it's not hard to park somewhere walking distance. Dinner is only 10€ for some great homemade food as a buffet.

The staff were so accommodating of our large group and did everything to make our stay fun

Our room was very nice and large and clean. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The hosts are incredibly warm and we really enjoyed the musical program. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. There is something for everyone, whether hiking, swimming, going on excursions, relaxing ... thanks for the wonderful week.

Food is very nice and the staff is friendly. Would recommend to come here during the happy hour (starts at 15.30h)

We were here at the end of Nov. Christmas Advent. Lots of Snow nice walks and plenty to do. We had a Party Night in the Wiesengrund Hotel and i must say if you are in this Area you realy shuld go in and have a meal. Then after enjoy the Party from the Team. They are perfect. I have not had such a good evening for a long time. ( Realy Great ) They have a Camper Stop with all you need. Hope to get there...

After arriving in Bad Hindelang we struggled to find a good place to sleep because every guesthouse or hotel was either closed or booked. We ended up walking the very steep Rosengasse in Bad Hindelang and found hotel Sonneck and one last available room at € 173,- What seemed like a lot of money turned out to be worth every penny of it! Very nice and well-kept guest house, run by very friendly and helpful hosts. Ideally located, as many hikes can start directly from the house, and the large bus station is also nearby. All information material available in the house. The large lawn behind the house is ideal for relaxing after a strenuous hike. In short: we felt very comfortable here and will definitely come back.

We were here in August and can only say good things about this country house and recommend it at any time. This "hotel" could be made into a real one. What is obviously missing is a cook and a dishwasher. The latter would be easy to obtain, but with the cook it becomes more difficult. One of the most stunning and picturesque locations and hotel that I have experienced. Located on the Bavarian border with Austria,the location is amazing with plenty of skiing, hiking and sledging activities near by. The service and facilities are outstanding making it a very high quality and unique hotel. Thank you to the staff and owners for making this place so special.

Such a great experience staying here. The very new outdoor pool is definitely a highlight and the view from our room is simply amazing, day or night. Every afternoon between 14-16:30 the guests can enjoy free afternoon soup and cake, perfect before the sauna or after a long hiking. Endlich mal ein Bett mit höhenverstellbaren Lattenrost. Auch das tolle neue Badezimmer und dass die Toilette extra war fanden wir sehr gut.
