Where to stay in Sonthofen

Good place to spend calm time. Room has little dust. Not vacuumed properly. Food menu is almost same for all the days. No ironing boards at room. Have to walk to main building to iron. Rainy weather , it’s really difficult to walk from far away building.

Who wouldn't want waking up to such views? Great location, one can walk to the river and enjoy. Supermarkets like Aldi, Deichmann, and McDonald's are nearby downhill. At the river, one can find bakeries as well. Good rooms, well ventilated.

Great views, great wellness area and pool. Very good food. Rooms quite old and with tiny bathroom, my room had a great view though to make up for it. Long distances between parts of hotel. Seminar rooms not the best ones I have seen. But the general experience was good for a training of 4 days. I am not sure though if I would pay that price from private pocket and come here for vacation.

We spent a few nights at the Alpenhotel as a family with our young son. Our stay was just a dream. The kitchen is excellent, we haven't eaten so well in a long time. The staff is very friendly and tries to fulfill every wish. We would definitely book again.

Wonderful location. I was there for a wedding. It was the most romantic. It is a place to take as a base to explore the Allgäu. There is a place to buy Bergkäse on the corner that is award winning. Very recommendable.

Room is neat and service is good

Beautifull Family Ownerhotel. We stay there for 2 Days. The Chefs are the BEst of the Hotel. I would to taste everey Meal of the Beergarden and Resturant, but it was to Many. In the Evening I meet cool Guys at the Bar. International Guys I think. Take also a Look to the Villages around Sonthofen. They are Beautifull.

A great warm welcome from Eifer ( please excuse the spelling) but she was a lovely friendly lady, along with her husband Michael who allowed us to park our 3 motorcycles in a secure garage and then proceeded to make meal reservations at a great Italian restaurant down the road. We stayed one night in the Arena Hostel. Box room for 2 really cozy and with everything you need. Really clean and well organized everywhere. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant there, the food was amazing and there were also some vegetarian options. Our third time here, brilliant each time nothing to fault. Staff are kind and professional, making you feel very welcome and cared for. Hotel offers a wonderful pool and an excellent wellness spa. Everything was very nice and well taken care of. The Hotel has a lot of small details for the guests that make the stay really enjoyable. The wellness area is wonderful with a dim lighting that helps to get into relaxation mood and wonderful views to the mountains. Water lounge with resting area (with hammocks and beds) is very extraordinary and relaxing. All the details are taken care of. Very well maintained, super good organized ( they clean your room when you are at breakfast , so you are not disturb later in your leisure time) and clean hotel.

The hotel is oldfashioned, at least spotlessly clean. The welcome was not warm either. Apart from a nice breakfast and a lovely lady serving us there was not much one would come back for. Maybe the nature around.

Definitely need a car to get to this hotel location, but they have more than enough car parking spaces. The rooms are cosy , cleaned, nice view to the mountains and the service is wonderful. All crew is likeable and professional. We stayed in the Christmas period and was perfect. The hotel is quiet, the restaurant is very good and there are some park place aside.

Great experience! The staff is just the most warming and welcoming. I would give more stars if I could. Breakfast is great, altho not always included in price. Could be more parking space, but it's a fairly small village it's not hard to park somewhere walking distance. Dinner is only 10€ for some great homemade food as a buffet.

I can only agree with the positive reviews. The small but subtle difference to the restaurants in Downtown-Fischen is that here the tables are only allocated once per evening! So you really eat (the very tasty trout) in peace! We would love to come back.

Our room was very nice and large and clean. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The hosts are incredibly warm and we really enjoyed the musical program. We were here at the end of Nov. Christmas Advent. Lots of Snow nice walks and plenty to do. We had a Party Night in the Wiesengrund Hotel and i must say if you are in this Area you realy shuld go in and have a meal. Then after enjoy the Party from the Team. They are perfect.
