Where to stay in Stralsund

I stayed at the Hiddenseer for two days while visiting Stralsund (See it in blackandpaper.com) It was really good. The staff is really nice and the rooms are very clean but could be a bit cramped for some. The best aspect of the room was the terrace view. Secondly, the hotel is next to the aquarium and other bars and eateries. And, a 10 minute walk to the center. We had dinner at the Hiddenseer...

One of the best restaurants you will find in Stralsund. The location is close to the water and very comfortable on the inside! You need to try the seasonal fish. They are fresh and good prepared with delicious side dishes. Hope to come back soon!

We had a great stay. The rooms were cozy and there was even a nice coffee machine with their own roasted coffee. Great sauna facilities and especially loved the breakfast. Definitely recommend it!

While struggling with speaking English , staff are genuinely friendly. In this beatifully restored place we had 2 adjacent rooms, very spatious with high ceilings and subtle decorated walls with our own balcony. Dogs welcome in tthe room with their own amenities provided.

Great hotel in a great city. Rooms are a bit somber but perfectly equipped and cleaned. Beds are excellent and so is the bathroom. You can compose your own breakfast that will be carried to your table in- or outside, and appears to have no limits. The hotel has a good restaurant for your evening meals if you so wish. There is a valet car parking service. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning hotel and rooms. Very clean, modern but all in a historic setting with beautiful brick walls and ceilings. Excellent ala carte breakfast included. The hotel consists of three buildings connected with a beautiful walkway underground. Checkin was smooth and they help with the luggage to the rooms. Very nice hotel with great atmosphere and friendly staff. The room was perfect. The breakfast a la card is amazing - much better than a buffet. On top of everything the location is perfect as well. We can Highly recommend this hotel.

This very friendly and good hotel is the best place to stay in Stralsund, which is a very interesting town with excellent places to eat and drink and lots to see. They also roast their own coffee which is excellent and are very understanding when English guests take the wrong floor on the lift for the sauna and walk through the lobby in towels :)

Front office staff great attention. Complimentary Bus ticket to go around durante your the stay , made it memorable as we worked and toured. Very clean the rooms and bathrooms. Restaurant with covid protocol, way in/out posted, items secured in display at the buffet. Fantástic location! Thank you!

The bar and restaurant were closed when I visited but there are plenty in the old town The room was good They give you a very useful travel ticket covering local buses including those on the Isle of Rugen

Cute rooms. Fitting all needs. Very small TV but okay. Nice breakfast buffet and very pleasingly stuff.

Nice and comfortable hotel, just near the train station and bus stops (particular windows are protecting the rooms from noise). Tea boiler and facilities as requested, in a wide room. Remember, that if you are going to stay 1 week, it is better to ask to the reception the '7 days transport ticket for Stralsund and Rügen' (you'll save your money). I was visting the Hotel dir an exibition about spiders and bugs. The Lobby and exibition-rooms we're clean. Good personal, Service was nice and rooms are clean. All in all a god hotel.

The breakfast and the location are excellent. The staff was friendly and courteous! All in all, I very much enjoyed my stay a lot and can recommend this hotel.

What a wonderful Hotel, the receptionists were all so kind and helpful ! We had an amazing time at the bar as well and the room was a dream. I can only recommend it and I will definitely come back here.

Very nice and clean hotel with very cool restaurant called -Rockeria-. They play/stream all the hits from ~60-70-80-90's.

Superb, great value fo rmoney, perfect location. All sights in walking distance. A coffee/tee maker in the room or lobby woudl be a great addition.

Amazing location, great rooms. Everything is clean and tidy. The stand out part of this hotel however is the staff. Incredibly understanding, helpful and friendly. We’ll come back anytime we visit Stralsund!

Rooms clean and quiet, breakfast quite good. Big negative was the internet-speed (200 kbit/s). This was the speed according to the hotel's instructions, not a mere impression on my part. Couldn't access my emails. That's not acceptable for an urban hotel in a developed country, sorry!

Stayed here for a few weeks for a work related stay. It was great. Friendly staff, clean and fresh, nice breakfast and a great location. Bahnhof was close and a short walk to the Altstadt.

Excellent place. Friendly staff who will help you with everything. I had seen a post about English speaking and the lack of it but that is not the case. English speaking staff here for sure. Nice buffet breakfast and good sized comfortable rooms. Close to the Bahnhof and easy walking distance to the Altstadt. Car parking available at request.

I spend two nights at the hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. People were kind. Breakfast has been a little disappointing. Especially the coffee.

The staff were really nice and are sufficient in English if required. It was quiet, the room (2 adults, two small children) was a nice size. No complaints about the amenities themselves. However, the entry to the water park is not included in the price of the room. The pictures make it look like it's all one thing, but it's not.You have to book the pool separately and that's not at all obvious on...

It is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, however the water in our toilet kept running, there where no glasses in the rooms and the beds where a bit small.

Hotel decoration is marine style, the rooms a cute and you have nice views from your room. Recommend a visit

High quality stay, staff improved compared to my last-year-stay. Room service seems to be more efficient and breakfast buffet became marvellous. Now, I do recommend staying here.

Great hotel, pay attention to the little things. Finally there is space in the shower and there is also enough space in the junior suite. Perfectly located to the city center and the Baltic Sea. You can go shopping right across the street and you can park your car at the hotel. There is a kettle and shower utensils as well as an elevator.

A really beautifully renovated house! People thought about that. Everything is very well insulated, you can hardly hear the busy street. We will definitely book again.

Basically everything that you need is available, including a large shower and dishwasher. The apartment on the ground floor, directly across from the office, is unfortunately very badly soundproofed, not bad in itself, as it is a rather quiet location at the harbor, but rather unsuitable with a baby. We are regularly in HST. The location is excellent, right on the harbor island. You should definitely book the parking space with whom you are arriving in your own car. It is also practical that the owners run a brokerage office on the ground floor, which can be helpful if you need help. The apartment is really cute. Everything you need is there. It is in a great location and the handover was uncomplicated. So far we feel very comfortable. Of course there are things that could be improved, as in every holiday home. The pillows are very knobbly and ugly. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, but everyone has a different opinion. We would definitely book the apartment again.

I was on Rügen in 2017 and June 2020 and I can recommend the Schulte family's holiday apartments to everyone. It is very clean, everything is there and each apartment has an almost private terrace. From Altefaehr you can quickly cross the Rügen bridge in the direction of Rostock or Usedom and almost every place on Rügen can be reached in less than 60 minutes. If Rügen then family Schulte.

Clean, tidy, everything is there and for the domestic well-being is very well sorted. Nice landlord who stays in the background so you can enjoy your vacation in peace of mind. :) Attached are pictures of the bedroom and bathroom.

The apartment and the surrounding area is very beautiful. If you don't necessarily want to be in contact with the landlord, you're welcome. We lacked information beforehand. Then we waited forever for the key to the apartment. The phone number on the website was not helpful as no one answered. Thanks to nice guests who gave us their cell phone number. Nice little hotel situated in what I am being told is a prime summer holiday area. Didn't get a chance to explore much, as I was there on a business trip, but would say that the hotel was very good value for money and it's situated in a nice quiet village/area. The room wasn't anything special, but it was large and had everything you'd need. Expected terrible breakfast based on booking review, but...

Forthcoming staff. They placed our family in one of the penthouse apartments with balcony, own kitchen with both stove and combined fridge/freezer and separate bedrooms. Standard was OK, even though we Scandinavians prefer "hard floor", for freshness. 😁 Good breakfast. Parking included.

The Hotel is nicely located opposite of a lake. We had room 708 with a view over the lake and St. Mary's Church as well as part of the ancient Hanseatic City centre. A very romantic look! I'm sorry, but I don't understand the German titles of your categories. However, I was pleased with your hotel. The rooms are comfortable and well cared for, and the restaurant is excellent. I would be happy to stay there again if I returned to Stralsund.

Okay for one night. The bathroom, in particular, is very cramped. Wiping a little more dust would be good. A cobweb hung from the ceiling throughout the bathroom. Staff was very friendly.

Nice, clean and personal. The staff went to great lengths to meet our special needs for the arrival time. For a few days you definitely can't go wrong here. A hygiene concept is in place and is implemented in an uncomplicated manner.

Warm welcome, nice beds, decent breakfast, price a bit too much, not that clean (sone dust), small bathroom with annoyingly loud fan - but I don’t like fans anyway. Check-in at 2pm, but also noon was possible. Check-out at 11am. Great! On property (small lots) and plenty of on street parking - Overall a good experience.
