B&B Hotel-Neckarhafen

We drove down to Stuttgart from the UK in August 2024 while enroute to Croatia and opted to stay here for 2 days as it had free parking, wasn't far from the city centre and other attractions. Parking in the hotel can get competitive at times but there is free parking in the street in front of the hotel too. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. I have to single out Michael who was working the front desk while we were there, he was especially funny, professional, friendly and kind. He went out of his way to arrange an itinerary for places me and the family could visit while we were in town. Michael is an asset to the business.... he definitely helped make our stay great.

I liked the location of the hotel (close to the U-Bahn and the relevant addresses for my staying), the very friendly staff, the well-thought-out design, the quality of the equipment of the room, the price. Especially I liked the welcoming procedure. The lady from the reception explained everything to me very cleary and handed out additional information in written form. That was very helpful/informative and I felt very welcome. I also liked the "key" and the no-check-out-procedure. The breakfast room would need some noise reducing elements, maybe also some plants. It looks too cold. It was very loud there when there were families with kids or groups. I was happy when I got a free parking. However, I would prefer a guaranteed parking space. The Autohof is a good solution, though, if there are not free spaces in front of the hotel. Some guests were too loud. I could hear them through the room walls and the door, and probably also the doors slamming due to the closing device is a bit too strong. It is almost like an "earthquake" if doors close to frequently one after the other. Otherwise the advantage of the room was that it was big enough to feel ok. I had enough space to put my stuff out (in the bathroom and in the main room). I also liked the "working" table so I could work on my computer without having to "reorganise" my entire room (like in some hotels).

Comfortable, clean room. Will happily return. Breakfast is simple and limited but good. Touch screen do-it-yourself check-in is rather inconvenient.

Superb stay on outskirts of Stuttgart.

Hotel is only open 18 months and everything is totally spotlessly clean. Room a fair size with comfortable bed and good linens. Bathroom had a great shower.

Best of all were the staff who went above and beyond. Special mention for the hotel manager, Miroslav, who really helped us out when there was a parking incident. We really appreciated his assistance.

This hotel needs only to send staff at the reception disk for standard, polite and basic receptionist behaviour.

Excellent hotel. Absolutely perfectly clean and very well run. Our room had everything we needed. Breakfast was very good and well stocked. Very close to the tram stop. We had a small problem with someone hitting our car when we were there but Miroslav, the manager, helped us get everything sorted. He was a real star. We will definitely stay here again.

We went to see our old friends in Stuttgart-Wangen for the first time in two years (pandemics and politicians being what they are), and we elected to stay in the new Hotel BnB there. In the old days, this was the site of the Stuttgart-Wangen Autohof, a truck stop/fuel/hotel site, but it's been re-developed. Half of the site has become the BnB, a brand new bed&breakfast hotel. It's important to retain that idea, because they don't do anything else. The place is well-built, provides a most serviceable breakfast, highly adequate bedding and accommodation, but that's all it does. It provides wifi and cell coverage, quiet rooms, comfortable beds and controllable air-conditioning in a small space, but no room service or other meals. The reception will rustle up a pizza or similar if asked, and you can get a beer or soft drink from the vending machine. That's what they do.

It's a comfortable place; bear in mind that the night-time temperatures were in the mid-20s C, daytime up to 36C, that air-con unit was worth it's weight in gold.

In reality, if you want more catering to take back to your room, investigate the RAN petrol station next door. Their drink selection dwarfs my local supermarket, they have a bread baking setup for all sorts of breads, and you can live well for not much money.

The thing that made this a complete, if simple, experience was the attitude of the staff there. Each one was enthusiastic and helpful, even when I came up with a wifi/macBook issue. The lead assistant tried and failed, the desk manager tried and escalated to his ISP, who failed. FWIW, I could take the thing (a M1 MB Air) down the road to my friend's wifi and all worked. The desk manager came in on a Saturday morning with his 4-yr old to try to sort things out, and I took mercy on him after an hour of much conversation with the ISP to state that I was on holiday and really didn't need laptop wifi in the hotel that badly (iOS and Android both worked perfectly). The 4year-old shows much promise in UK political terms, as she learns her English from Peppa Pig, as does our Prime Minister Johnson. They were all helpful, all friendly, even after the wifi experience, and we'll definitely be back there.

You get what you pay for. Especially if you are travelling with up to 2 kids, family room with bunker bad is perfect choice with an amazing price. Breakfast was nice with enough options to make a good start for the way. Tram is only short walking distance to reach the centre.
