Where to stay in Varel

The rooms are great and clean with soft beds. But the bathrooms are small that is why I gave it 4/5. The service was good but they would not tell me the brand of the sherry wine they offer you when you check in. It's the best wine I have ever tasted. So that is why I gave them 4/5 on service. Location is 5/5 as it is under 10 minute walk and they have parking at the Hotel.

It was an extremely pleasant and familiar stay with a typical North German flair. I felt very comfortable and would love to come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the location is rural and pleasantly quiet and yet you can reach the surrounding highlights quite quickly. A special thanks to the young lady on reception (dark long hair) for the wonderful conversations, you were fantastic.

We were very happy with the service. The rooms were clean and spacious, as was the terrace. All employees were nice and accommodating. The breakfast was great, something for everyone and prepared with passion. Always will be happy again. A hotel with charm and feel-good factor. We will definitely book there again. .

Graet time to stay there. If you like remote places far from cities it is lovely place like resort type. All you need in one place. Food a bit expensive still nice and tasty, but all you need is there including SPA wellness, bicycles and so one. Was a great time out there. Thank you.

We travel to Varel relatively regularly. It is, for us a simple 45 minute journey. We very much like the ambience of the place, the parking is a doddle, the rooms are really very good and fabulously clean, as is the entire hotel, the wellness is wonderful although there were many, many people booked in on this particular occasion, to the point that, at times, it was hard to find a place to lie down...

We had a wonderful time at this hotel it is adjacent to a huge Lake or you can walk her bike around it. The breakfast was really amazing. You couldn't ask for anything more because they had it all.

Our stay at B&B Wilhelmshaven was perfect. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was exactly what we needed to fuel our days. 100% would visit again.

I absolutely love this place! It's very calm and quiet, making it perfect for a short stay. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. Although it's officially a four-star hotel, I would personally give it a five-star HOSTEL rating based on its overall ambiance. However, I did find the customer service somewhat lacking in care. Amazing view to the see, and placed in a great location. One of the highlights is they have a chlorine free pool, it won’t irritate your eyes or skin, and it’s perfect for kids, beginners and non-swimmers. Very nice staff. They do everything to make you feel comfortable. The reception is not staffed in the afternoon. But everything is explained well by email so that you can get to the hotel and into your room without any problems.

Nice cozy place! I sent an email a day before to check availability and they replied quick. Also wanted to store my bike, they left notes for all the procedures as I came outside of check-in times. Very friendly and responsive peoples. If I travel again to this region, I would definitely stay here. Plus the bread at breakfast was one the best I had :)

The hotel was pretty pricey, considering there is literally nothing around and the rooms seemed very outdated. Also, there was some kind of drain (with unknown purpose), right in the middle of the bathroom, which caused some unpleasant smells. Other than that: the staff was very nice and helpful and the wellness area was okay.

Very good budget hotel for travellers. The rooms were clean and had the necessary amenities. The sea view room was great. However the attitude of reception staff was not good. They were grim faced and apoeared to be little hostile in the way they interacted with us. We didn't see a smiling face in the reception during the stay.

Great hotel and great spa but horrible beds. We booked the suite. They were extremely hard and we had a hard time getting decent sleep. I don’t understand why a hotel purchases mattresses who are so hard and therefore so specific for a small group of people. Too bad.

Activities are good. The water pool and activities are ok, could be bigger. We enjoyed the mini golf there. The weather was not the best and it was raining most of the time, that's why the Indoor pools and activities were good.

The sauna is not included in the room cost. An additional 15€ is paid for each day. Other than that all is OK

The location and facilities are good . The aqua Mundo is adequate with many slides,swimming pool with heated water . The outdoor pool is very refreshing with hot water . The facilities and access integration with wrist band is great . Activities can be easily added using the app . The cottage is well equipped and clean .

The hotel was OK, although the service was only satisfactory. We had to leave a day early due to illness. Cancellation was not possible.

All in all, we were happy with our stay. Because we had booked two hotel rooms, we were offered a VIP apartment for the same price. However, there is no soap/shampoo for VIPs, as there is in a hotel room. To change a 10-euro note, you have to walk through the entire Center Park. (You can't change money in the basement, you can't change money at the counter, but it was no problem at all at reception...

Very nice place. The rooms are roomy and clean and windows can be opened. The restaurant is very good to the fish we got was well prepared and tasty. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is because we did not get our invoice as promised. We had to sent them a few mails before we go it settled.

Fantastic price/quality. I loved the schnitzel and the room was very quite and the bed very good. Not too soft not too hard. Hotel is situated on a square and a lovely street with shops.

we were actually on vacation in Flensburg and wanted to experience a bit of the North Sea and ended up stranded here, the welcome was warm, the staff friendly, the premises were clean, the rooms were cleaned daily and a sumptuous breakfast, where our wishes were also taken care of. However, the 80x80 shower and the entire bathroom were too small for me, but that was only the only point of criticism...

We booked an overnight stay. The hotel is in a top location, our double room was modern, very clean. The breakfast had a large selection, a bit of everything. It was always cleaned up very quickly and the service was really very good throughout the house. Here you can really escape from everyday life. Many thanks to the whole team and keep it up. We have rarely felt as comfortable as we did in this hotel. We received a very friendly welcome. Our dog was bribed with a dog blanket, bowl and treats. Friendliness, cleanliness and service as well as the breakfast were unparalleled. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.
