Where to stay in Waldeck

My wife and I have been guests at the Hotel Werbetal a number of times. The stay is always a very special experience! The comfort rooms with a view of the lake are very cozy and tastefully furnished. The absolute highlight every time is the warm service and the excellent food! The Gerlach family and all of the staff go to great lengths and you can tell. We will be back definitely! -S. Big

The whole hotel is very clean! The rooms are spacious and functional. The staff is very friendly and attentive. A compliment to the kitchen: the breakfast was plentiful and there was something for every taste. In the evening we had a delicious meal in a nice atmosphere. Always my pleasure!

Very nice hotel. The rooms are very large and very clean. I had booked the Flair pleasure package. The food was really excellent. Daso staff was very nice. This will definitely not be my last stay at this hotel.

Gem of a hotel, superb value supported by an excellent restaurant. One very small gripe, they need to provide Internet. The so called WiFi is very very slow and there is no or little Mobile coverage in the area.

Friendly welcome, beautiful surroundings and clean rooms. Breakfast was good and varied, swimming pool a bit cold but nicely furnished. Unfortunately we couldn't open the window at night because there was no mosquito net.

We stayed for 2 nights and I was really at peace with everything, the owner was incredibly friendly and always asked if everything was good. It's always a pleasure to come back to the hotel from a short trip on the Edersee. We recommend . Thank you for a great stay.

We were there 9 nights and unfortunately we only found the peace and quiet that we had hoped for to a limited extent. At the end of the sudden construction of a prefabricated house, plus barking dogs and some room changes. Certainly everything is a matter of taste, but the comfort room wasn't okay anymore, best of all was the cozy balcony. The breakfast became boring over time, so more variety would...

Very cozy, delicious breakfast and lots of coffee ☕. The owner is very friendly and helpful, even checks the bus schedule on the network for us to see when and where we can go to Korbach. Nothing can go wrong there!

The stay was too short but our time was also limited. We do plan to revisit this area in the future.

Location was perfect. Hotel facilities very good and excellent breakfast buffet.

It was great, we wore there for the lake, and we walked down from the hotel. lucky us, they have a chairlif near the road so you can easily be up there. On my birthday they give us free sect.

Luxury and comfort from 60''s in a 500-inhabitants village. Still - clean, nice breakfast, and if you like bicycle rides, exactly in the right place. They have a castle nearby, too :)

If you can make the hike to the top the view will absolutely be worth it. I made a video of it for you to see here. Don't worry if it is a long drive up the hill, right before the top their is a bathroom stop amongst all the parking spots, the cleanest bathroom I've seen in my life. You should check it out to see how accurate I am. There is also a restaurant and gift shop inside the castle.

Great views, cool sightseeing. Not too many people. Nice gift shop, but for some reason they yell at u if u try to translate book titles with an photo app.

Not really much to do. But you have a very nice view over the Edersee

Beautiful Castle on Edersee, worth the visit. Great area to Hike and Swim afterwards if desire.

Good service and great food. Had a very delicious fish and potato dish with a big side salad. Would definitely go again.

We were at the restaurant up front. Price range is perfect and so is the food. Very nice terrace and they were okay with cats and dogs

Foods, locations and the staff are very friendly plus the Atmhosphere was great!

It was just what we needed after a very long hike. A good schnitzel, large beer, and that warm atmosphere only Germany seems to be able to provide. Rooms was very large and very clean, a very comfortable bed. We slept like babies. Breakfast was nice as well.

Very relaxing place to stay, within walking distance to Edersee Dam. Very welcoming and friendly.

Very clean room. Breakfast was good, nice employees! Only the pillow was too soft, but that is a personal opinion. But if you don't like soft pillow I advise to take your own pillow with you.

Liked the Western theme, a little quirky. The packed breakfast was also a bit different, delivered to your room where you can make your own beverages.

it is a unique experience, very clean and stylish, we were staying just before Halloween and decorations were amazing. great place to stay with kids . breakfast is delivered to your door, few choices are available . restaurant with good food and life music. very quiet at night .

Very friendly and helpful landlord. He gave us a lot of great tips for our bike tours. We slept well. The breakfast buffet was lovingly set up and rich. The house and rooms are not super new, but they are clean and everything is in good condition. Value for money absolutely justified.

Dark & depressing room behind the dining area. (I wondered if the old kitchen block had been converted in to some rooms maybe?) WiFi worked 1 day out of 3 sadly. Google incorrectly shows free breakfast; there is free tea & coffee with biscuits. On the plus, free parking (for maybe 6 cars), central, fridge to store food in (as there is no catering on site).

Very comfortable accommodation and an extensive breakfast and car parking. Excellent, quiet location with good restaurants close by. Wonderful scenery around the village and close to the beautiful Eder River valley and lakes.

We had a wonderful family stay for 5 days. The apartment is very stylish and familiar. Very clean and the breakfast just a dream. Since my husband has to come to the Werner wicker clinic for check every year, we will definitely become regular guests here. Great for a few days of relaxation. Very dog friendly, free parking and wifi and a good restaurant. Breakfast is also included. There is spa, fitness and towels for the spa in the room. A bit outdated, but clean with very friendly staff. Nice with a balcony which can be good if you are a smoker or just want to get some fresh air.

I had a wonderful stay in Fritzlar, Germany. This hotel is a complete package: style, efficient service, comfortable rooms, multilingual front desk service, and the ability to handle big groups. For the high quality of service, I recommend this beautiful hotel.

The hotel and breakfast buffet are high-class old-school. The room itself does not hold up to the high standards: an old bathroom with a bathtub shower (defect and dirty at first). There are extra rooms for pets for €20 per night, but don't expect a bowl or a bed for your dog.

The stay in this house was very nice and warm. I have known this house for years and am very pleasantly surprised at how much energy and courage the new owner has shown to this day and still has before. Friendly people, from reception, wellness and restaurant!

An excellent, classic Spa hotel, with perfect breakfast and very good service.

All in all, it was good. The comfort room was big enough, as was the bathroom. However, the room was not cleaned, only the bed was made. The buffet area in the breakfast room is far too small. Otherwise, everything was there and it was constantly being refilled.

The hotel is located quite centrally opposite a rehabilitation clinic. The rooms are well-equipped and clean, and the hotel is nice overall. The service is very good in advance. For example, a parking space was reserved that was well suited to wider vehicles. This hotel is amazing, I didn’t expect so much for the price (around €100 per night). Spacious room, reasonable breakfast and spa facilities included in the price. Very nice pension in the heart of the mountain town of Landau. The rooms are very clean, the owners are very friendly and always try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The schnitzels are also highly recommended. All in all, fully recommended.

This hotel is a very beautiful hotel, with friendly staff. The spa facilities are very good. Swimming pool inside and outside, sauna in and outside. Bad Arolsen is also a very nice little town . We are visiting from another country and got to the hotel past early morning. We were in need to find a room and Krebs was absolutely amazing. He helped us with every single thing and did not leave our side until we were all set up. He went back and forth to help us and also spoke excellent English which helped since we do not speak Dutch. Nice restaurant, run by a Dutch person. Was a surprise to hear Dutch in Germany. I ordered "stoofpotje" which was made with Guinness. That was actually nice. They recommended Grolsch to go with that which was a suggestion ( I would never have picked that beer). Good combination.

The room was clean and very welcoming. Much like you would expect from the picture. However, the service gets unfriendly as soon as you ask them for any favours, such as being allowed to arrive a bit later or to use a table after you’ve checked-out in order to get some work done.

This hotel is in a quiet location. Parking is free outside the hotel and in the car park next to it. The rooms are very large and exceptionally clean. Nice hotel. There a restaurant and a pub for food and drink. Free wifi and parking available. Nearby offers limited shopping options. There a park and foredt trails for running, which are worth.

For a 3 star hotel it really is on the upper level. The rooms are not brand new but all clean, so are the bathrooms. The beds are a bit squeaky but not uncomfortable. Breakfast is solid and offers all an average person might want. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. My four stars don't make it a 4 star hotel but a good 3 star hotel.
