Welcome Hotel

The reception was very professional & friendly, I had to go for a walk because my room wasn’t ready until 3pm. In regards to previous reviews: yes some aspects of the rooms are showing wear & tear but the management is apparently renovating room-by-room so as to not cause construction stress for the guests. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom clean. There is shampoo in the shower but the liquid soap is on the wall outside of the shower? 🤔 The breakfast is wonderful, a good and large choice of foods, and offered on the buffet tables in large iron crockpots with lids instead of the awful large standard stainless steel rectangular catering pans with lids - that is a lovely touch. The pool is really cold! but it was luckily very hot during my stay so it was kind of refreshing. Two outside saunas are really nice, in an area behind the outdoor pool that is clothing optional which I thought was great. There was some noise outside my room on the ground the first night late but coincidentally there was a massive fair going on with hundreds of thousands of visitors so I guess it was to be expected. But otherwise it was a very quiet & relaxing stay. I was allowed to check out a slight bit later which I really appreciated, and the reception team was again very friendly. I needed to urgently print something and the team gladly did this for me, but charging me 25 cents was rather silly, in my humble opinion. Overall, a nice quiet place to stay and discover the lovely town, and visit the surrounding region.

We are visiting from another country and got to the hotel past early morning. We were in need to find a room and Krebs was absolutely amazing. He helped us with every single thing and did not leave our side until we were all set up. He went back and forth to help us and also spoke excellent English which helped since we do not speak Dutch. His patience, understanding and ability to go above and beyond to help is outstanding. We will be coming back to this hotel, not only because it’s beautiful but truly because of the staff who helped us.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly and always attentive. Restaurants for all tastes, accessible without going outside, even in the rain.

In July we were able to celebrate our wedding together with the Welcome Hotel in the castle of Bad Arolsen. The day went exactly as we imagined. The planning was very easy and all our wishes could be realized. The food was fantastic as always. The guests were also delighted. A huge thank you to the waiters and cooks and of course to the organizer!

The room was spacious but very old, they don't have room service , I needed to buy some tea and I had to go the bar infront of the hotel
The location is amazing

We love this hotel. It’s the only place we will stay when we visit Bad Arolsen. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The staff is very accommodating, and the breakfast has lots of options. We really like the pool now that the renovations are complete - even though it was too cold to use the pool this time.

We had an excellent stay and enjoyed our 'superior room' very much: nicely furnitured, very comfortable and clean. Fantastic wellness factilities, with indoor pool (and outdoor pool...but that's too cold in October ;->), whirlpool and 3 indoor- and 2 outdoor sauna's: great!
Breakfast was also very good, with a lot of things to choose from. We had diner twice: in the restaurant of the hotel an excellent buffet and also a very good meal at the cosy Plückers restaurant. The MeineCardPlus we've received with our booking was also very helpfull: we've visited a number of places in the neighbourhood and the card saved us a lot of entry fees. All highly recommended!
