The hotel was good with a balcony giving a beautiful view on the mountains. At arrival a booklet was received with many walking trails, several ware easy to reach walking from the hotel. Many others could be reached by car or by bus with short distances. A daily diner was available for 5 out of 7 days for guests of the hotel only, with very reasonable prices.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Gröblalm. We come to this area fairly frequently for skiing in and around Garmisch, although this was the first time we'd stayed in Mittenwald as a base. Superb stay at this hotel. Room was extremely comfortable, clean and with a great view. Staff were friendly and food was absolutely superb. I was in Mittenwald for on night, as a brake between hikes. I’ve loved my time in this hotel. Room was very comfortable, breakfast was good. They have provided me also with AlpinCard, that gave some discounts in the facilities including free public transport ticket. Just a small recommendation to explore local cable cars. You can also climb Kranzberg hill to watch sunset.

We were only in Mittenwald for one night, but the Hotel Rieger was outstanding. Friendly, helpful front desk staff, clean and spacious rooms, and delicious breakfast with tons of options. The free afternoon cake and coffee was great too. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and hope to return to spend more time in Mittenwald in the future.

The hotel is nice and the staff very friendly. The hotel can do with a renovation as the room decor and furnishings are somewhat dated, however you will still be comfortable and have a good stay. One of the best places I've ever stayed at.

I've stayed here 3 times and would definitely return. It is well located, the rooms are spacious(last time I stayed in a single room and even this one was good size), well appointed, clean, bright. Breakfast isn't very varied but that for me isn't an issue as it had what I would normally eat anyway and good quality, fresh.

You really felt very comfortable in the Alpenpark. The location is perfect; You can walk to the Kochelsee and after a short drive to the Walchensee. The view of the mountains is fantastic! Probably the network and the WLAN are not working properly, but that is not a problem at all, since you are on the road all day anyway!

Spacious and clean apartment that was nicely decorated. We didn't use the breakfast, but instead the bread service, which came on time every morning. A very nice host who also places special emphasis on hygiene in Corona times. The only minor criticism: there is no possibility to darken in the bedroom. The curtains barely stop the light and things like salt, sugar, pepper would be nice :)

Nice, cozy room. Modern amenities. Decent wifi, it did cut out occasionally, but you don't come to Bavaria to surf the web, so it was no big deal. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Driving in we were greater by Barbara who asked us to meet her in the restaurant. We checked in there and made our dinner reservations. The hotel is well located, and many excursions can be started from there. The hotel is a bit older. This is evident from the stains on the carpet and upholstery. There is a large TV, but it is not usable at all due to poor reception. Overall, it is a well-kept older hotel, good as a base, but not really for a staycation.

The location is a little far from the station, but it is within walking distance. The facilities are a little old, but the environment and sanitation are still OK. You can see the mountain when you open the window. The breakfast is also quite good, but there were many people staying on the day I went, and you had to queue up to get coffee. The overall cost performance is still very high, worth recommending

It was one of the warmest day in summer when we stayed there, when the windows were widely opened, the room temperature decreased by the gentle mountain wind. The night was quiet with open windows. The decor in the room is with a Bavarian dining table, the size of room is enough for a couple and a dog. The staff were friendly.

We stayed here for a night in July and it was wonderful. The place is very close walking distance to Partenkirchen and the hosts were so wonderfully hospitable. The breakfast was plentiful with many options and my only regret was honestly not staying longer to fully take advantage of the accommodations!

We stayed for 3 nights in October and we enjoyed our stay! It was conveniently located with the train station just opposite which also has convenience store there. There’s food and supermarket nearby too. The apartment is of a great size and had everything we needed, especially a washing machine! We will recommend this place!

The hotel has an indoor pool, dry sauna, and daily breakfast. The staff were wonderful. The location is also great, near the center of town. The downsides are as follows: the basic rooms are very small and the queen beds are actually two twin beds side-by-side, a small shower that would not accomodate anyone larger in size and the entire bathroom is tiny also, and most importantly for some people...

Fantastic location and extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had a short walk into Garmisch each evening for dinner and/or drinks and as we drove it was centrally located to sites we wanted to see. The swimming pool was also welcomed with temperatures in the 30 Celsius range during our stay. Would definitely return.

We spent 4 nights at Hotel Roter Hahn. The room was very comfortable and quiet and had a superb view of the Zugspitze. Waking each morning to see the sun rising on the mountain was incredible!!!! Wonderful hotel within walking distance from the train station. The beautiful building is full of Bayerisch charm, nice views from the room. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, there is even a small indoor swimming pool. Breakfast buffet has good options. Overall, makes for a great stay at GaPa.

Family driven hotel and with such atmosphere. Excelent location, free parking, very clean. The room we had was simple furnished but you can not complain, everything you need was there. You may see that its best years are gone but still a good place to stay.

The hotel is very nice and convenient

Everything was great. A small point to note is that there is no air conditioning for the room during winter season, hence you’ll have to leave the windows open as it gets a little stuffy overtime.

This hotel has great amenities for family vacation, the restaurant and bar atmosphere are great, but the small rooms are the problem, nobody likes tinny rooms, no AC just heating, no safe, no place for the bags, no amenities kit for the bathroom. Another problem is the front desk team, many of them barely speak English and sometimes have to work as receptionist and sales person for the Nivea store...

Decent price to performance ratio for hotels in the area. Sauna and pool area are very nice and enjoyable. Rooms were remarkably average, but had a nice view out the window. Breakfast was average, definitely not the greatest spread when compared to breakfast at other hotels in Germany. Only about a 7 minute walk to the Christmas market, so location isn’t bad at all. I can recommend it if other options...

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast excellent with a wide choice of cereals, rolls, cheeses, meats and other things. Our superior room was enormouse, comfortable and had a balcony with table and 2 chairs and side views of the mountains. Everything is spotlessly clean. Attractive garden to relax in. Ten minutes walk to restaurants and shops.

Lovely hotel and staff was great and very friendly. The breakfast was exceptional and the rooms were very cozy. I can't wait to return!

This hotel is pretty neat, clean, friendly customer service and seems to be a family owned and operated. The rooms that we got was at the highest floor (3rd floor) with nice different views on each room. They give free breakfast in the mornings and it's quite good too. Will come back here again hopefully next time

This restaurant was the first we noticed when visited a town. As we were hungry we decided not to search more and stopped for lunch there. It was a good choice. Food was delicious and nicely presented. They speak English. Great view to the lake for this place.

We ate here 3 times and the food was quality each time. The fish options are more varied than in other Bavarian restaurants and the veal Wiener Schnitzel was the best I've had to date!

Great food, friendly service, spectacular view! We enjoyed our late lunch at the Seehotel restaurant very much. It was slightly crowded and we had to wait to get a spot but the service was really good. The fish was crispy and tasty. The drinks and dessert were also really great!

We stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it. The house and the yard are stunning. The rooms are clean and fresh. Breakfast was delicious. The space is walking distance to the Partnach Gorge and the downtown area. We cannot wait to go back!

Christiane and Norbert are kind and helpful hosts, we had a ground floor room with a patio, the lovely room was large with tv fridge safe and lots of storage, the patio had seating area with fantastic views of the mountains,the breakfast was great with lots to choose from including specials. It was a great stay and would love to come back.
