Nice Hotel and kind people but lack of service for the paid price. They did not clean and make the room, also missing shower towels, the only one in the room was very small. Good breakfast and position. Kitchen closed Saturday and Sunday, I understand Sunday but also Saturday closed over weekend is not normal.

Our first stop in a two week road trip off to a great start at this cosy, personalized property, made even better by the wonderful host Michael. Location: Central yet peaceful, near Old Town and scenic walking areas. Quality: Smooth check-in, clean, comfort, room with a nice view. Mattress quality could be better. Good breakfast. Our host took special efforts to show us personally features of the hotel and the room. Highly recommended.

Comfortable stay in a lovely room. We got great views of the gondola and mountains from our room. Be sure to visit the church just down the street and you will find yourself in the old section of town with beautiful buildings. The hotel has a few parking spots behind the restaurant which was very convenient. And dinner was very good as well.

The friendly service at the front desk sets the scene for your great stay. The room, although a little outdated was clean and comfortable. We needed some rainy day tips and the owner helped us out with some great local info. Highly recommend

This is our second time staying in Mittenwald, but our first time staying at Hotel Rieger. From the get-go, the hospitality has been absolutely amazing.
The first time we visited Mittenwald, it was late at night after a long hike. We were wandering around like zombies, absolutely convinced we were going to have to go to bed hungry. Then we stumbled upon this hotel, and even though they were probably about to close or maybe had already closed they still welcomed us in and served us pizza. Honestly, the fact that they were willing to feed two starving hikers at the very last minute really won us over.
We decided that the next time we came to Mittenwald, we would stay here and we are so glad we did. Our Mountain View room was recently renovated and very comfortable, with everything feeling fresh, clean, and nicely decorated. They also have on-site parking, and we always found a spot without any stress.
We stayed for 7 nights and everyday the atmosphere in the hotel was just fantastic warm, inviting, and had a really positive energy.
They also have Karwendelbräu beer, which is actually brewed at Germany’s highest brewery up at 2,244 meters in the Karwendel mountains. It tasted insanely good (and this is coming from someone who doesn’t even usually like beer). It’s a must-try if you’re in the area!
Overall, Hotel Rieger truly amplified our experience in Mittenwald.

This hotel was very easy to deal with directly. We had a prime room on the 3rd floor with a balcony and huge bathroom with a shower and soaking tub. A nice breakfast was included. Its location is at the end of the main pedestrian street so quiet and easy to walk to various sites. It is right across from the local grocery store.

Alpenhotel Rieger was a beautiful boutique hotel located close to the center and walkable to all amenities in Mittenwald. The owner Daniel Rieger and staff Michael went out of their way to help me have an informed and enjoyable experience. The rooms were outstanding and comfortable beds and balconies decorated with flower boxes to make it an authentic Bavarian experience.

We have stayed here often over the years and it could not be better. It is a convenient location, quiet, great breakfast, good dinners and excellent service. Also, the views from our balcony were outstanding. You won’t regret staying here.
