We were only in Mittenwald for one night, but the Hotel Rieger was outstanding. Friendly, helpful front desk staff, clean and spacious rooms, and delicious breakfast with tons of options. The free afternoon cake and coffee was great too. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and hope to return to spend more time in Mittenwald in the future.

I was in Mittenwald for on night, as a brake between hikes. I’ve loved my time in this hotel. Room was very comfortable, breakfast was good. They have provided me also with AlpinCard, that gave some discounts in the facilities including free public transport ticket.
Just a small recommendation to explore local cable cars. You can also climb Kranzberg hill to watch sunset.

Most beautiful location and wonderful view from the restaurant. Whatever, you must have to sit inside the restaurant and have your food! Which I think so boring 😴.
We were with kids and family, stuffs are not so friendly and can't speak English. Even Germans can't understand the manue! All is written in local dialect!!!
The pizza they served was so salty! We refused to have it and took the 🍕 pizza and charged the full price!!!
Such a bad 👎 service. I will never go for food again for sure ....

The hotel is nice and the staff very friendly. The hotel can do with a renovation as the room decor and furnishings are somewhat dated, however you will still be comfortable and have a good stay. The pool was quite nice, but you can expect it to be noisy with kids. Not much of a view from the pool in the Keller. Remember to bring your own house shoes to go swimming. The views from the front facing rooms is absolutely amazing! Breakfast was ok, but not a really impressive spread IMO. Parking is not a problem.

Great spot in Mittenwald, friendly staff and a wellness that made the stay very enjoyable.

Nice and clean hotel. The staff is nice. The service as breakfast and spa is really nice. The spa is small. The hotel is not far from a lot of hiking starting points.

Excellent service, clean rooms, location can't be beat. The wellness facility is great. I would happily stay at this hotel again.

A fantastic Bavarian hotel in the heart of Mittenwald, with a pool, small gym and spa. The room was large and very comfortable. Friendly staff, and Monday Bavarian buffet with excellent baked Alaska dessert was really worth attending. Great place, highly recommended.

Very nice hotel in town centre close to all amenities. Single room was clean and spacious. Food excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.

Nice family run hotel in the center of Mittenwald. Quiet, clean rooms, just what you would expect in Bavaria. Staff all very nice and accommodating. Nice breakfast buffet with cooked to order eggs, etc. Their Monday Bavarian buffet was over the top, perfect for meat fans; Italian dinner was also very good. Keep in mind that this is no chain hotel; a nice change from the cookie cutter rooms and mass produced meals.
No complaints; highly recommended. 2022 update; remains an excellent choice, even in Covid-19 times. Will always come here when in the area!
