Where to stay in Weimar

Stayed at a very spacious Junior Suite with "town view". We liked the slight nostalgia of our rooms and felt the historic ambiance of this special place. The staff had been incredible attentive and we noticed that several of their guests were addressed by their names, indicating a true hospitality. Overall it was our pleasant stay. We liked it. Only thing, I thought it would have been a coffee machine in my room.

Very convenient location to restaurants and a REWE. Clean large suite with amenities including bathrobe and slippers, mini-fridge, coffee/tea. Reception personal courteous and helpful. The only drawback is parking, which is only 100 m away but costs 25 E/day.

The hotel is very nice and placed conveniently in the center of Weimar, close to the sightseeing areas. The hotel is very well kept and rooms are spacious and quiet. The staff is extremely kind and helpful.

Great hotel, modern and elegant, well located for many tourist sites, lovely staff, good breakfast if slightly pricey. It has proper bathrooms (the bathrooms at two other "premium" hotels I stayed at in Germany just had glass doors and walls). Would happily return to the Dorint.

An amazing hotel in Weimar that we totally loved. Rooms were big and spacious with a great bathroom with bathtub and good lighting. Everything was neat and tidy and in perfect shape. A good and quiet hotel to stay!

I didn’t find a tea and coffee machine in the room, and the refrigerator didn’t work either. Otherwise, I liked it here.

The Hotel is round about 6km from the centre of weimar away. A bus station is directly in front of the hotel. The employees are friendly and professional. You can use a pool & a sauna nearly anytime. The breakfast buffet is good, with a good choice of foods. The rooms are clean, also they have a nice bar, prices for drinks or the dinner are okay.

The room was nice and quiet but unluckily the breakfast due to Corona was served in turns and a limited number of people were accepted in each turn, and the only turns that were still free was very early or very late, which was not suitable for a holiday so we had to cancel breakfast after the first day. We had a nice, large room. Due to corona restaurant, pool and spa were closed and there were only few timeslots for breakfast. Bathroom looked a little bit dated, but we didn't have to wait long for warm water. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Perfectly fine typical German provincial Hotel. The location right at the station is great, the Hotel is set in a nice building and while some elements of the Hotel are clearly rather dated, it is all very well cared for. Service was quick and polite so, combined with the good pricing this hotel is a perfect choice for a quick stay in Weimar.

I felt warmly welcomed. Very convenient location (right opposite to the main train station) and so easy to find after arriving. Friendly staff. Inside there is a neat restaurant so you can have meals whenever you want. The room was tidy and well-organized. Recommended !

I spent a night here on a business trip. The staff was very friendly and super welcoming. Tue room was small but clean and nicely furnished. Unfortunately, my room was facing out front towards the street and the train station which was a little noisy starting at around 6:30-7am. I would recommend this Hotel though and also stay here again but I'd see that I can get a room in the back :)

My 2nd time here and still like it very much, rooms are nice but the beds could been more comfortable and cleaning on some places like wallsockets needs improvement. Onion market 2021. Comfort room top. Staff very courteous and warm. Three different breakfast times at the weekend and two different times during the week. This makes breakfast very relaxed at a lovingly prepared buffet. The hotel can be reached in a normal walk from the train station in 25 minutes or by taxi or bus.

Cool hotel, love the design. Location is perfect. Only minus is service. The front desk was unwelcoming so was the staff at the breakfast restaurant. It was planned as a residential building from which the Weimar cityscape with formative architect Rudolf Zapfe was planned. My husband and I stayed at the Amalienhof for three nights. Service is very friendly, goes "the extra mile" like offering coffee at the entrance table for their guests but also to the taxi drivers that drop off the visitors. Wonderful breakfast and great staff. The rooms were so thoughtfully done- you are in the heart of the city. Quiet, except our room looked out into the street and we had some really interesting dialogs throughout the night. The town seem to be yawning for visitors, but this is beautiful place to visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pension Sonja Müller. From Nohra, you can explore Thuringia very well thanks to the good transport connections. The rooms are very well furnished and the breakfast was sufficient and varied. The pension is very recommendable.

There is really nothing to complain about here. Clean, lovingly furnished rooms or apartments. The very nice owner serves a fantastic breakfast. All in all, we had a wonderful stay (we were there with 10 people). The pension is also centrally located. Many activities can be easily reached from here!
