Where to stay in Wesel

We stayed here for four nights in one of the 'executive suites'. The good: - The room setup worked well for us. We stayed there for 5 days. The prices are quite fair for what it offers at the time of this review. Rooms are in form of double room suits with 2 beds and incorporated kitchen with microwave, small frige, cutlery and plates washing machine. Wifi was widely avaliable and we could use streaming services with no problems in the evening with the hotel fully booked. The in room build kitchen really...

The hotel itself is very good, the only thing that I didn't like was the extortionate price that we were charged for filling up our water bottles.

Incredible hotel for the price. The room was out of this world, more like a mini apartment than a hotel. The breakfast was great, so much variety and all good quality and tasty. Excellent staff, all so welcoming and warm. The location as well, absolutely magnificent. Peaceful and beautiful. I'm already thinking of excuses to come again.

Excellent service at the hotel, reception was very helpful. The resturant had good food and excelent room service, easy to order to the room. Good standard and very clean. The hotel location is perfect, walking dostance to the center but still a bit on it’s own with beautiful walkways along the rhein and quiet area around the hotel. Bonus: very good bartender that made excellent drinks.

Rooms 3/5 - Bad: There was a kitchen in my room, but not a single dish. What a strange conception. With two separate mattresses, there is gap in bed, that is really annoying. Furniture is little outdated, but ok. Good: Room was really big, lots of cabinets for things. Good Wifi (password from TV!). Easy to mirror mobile phone to TV and watch whatever you want. A lovely country hotel, a bit old fashioned but still very comfortable and clean. The service was excellent, such friendly and helpful staff. The Wellness area is nice with a variety of saunas. A bit dated compared to other Wellness resorts but still very nice.

Waldhotel Tannenhäuschen is a great property, this hotel provides a very relaxing atmosphere. We had a lovely stay (3 days in Summer) The hotel is offering different styles of accommodation and activities – and serving also vegetarian food! We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend at the Waldhotel. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The wellness area is very nicely arranged. The hygiene and corona rules were followed by all staff and guests, but this was also done in a discreet and pleasant way.

I've spent about a month at this family owned hotel. Even though it's a quiet location (exactly my preference), within walking distance you can reach everything important. The family running the hotel is very nice and flexible if the guests have special requests. Really made me feel at home. Looking forward to my next stay there!

Perfect country feeling in this quiet hotel. The nature is so close in all directions, if you really want to relax in this area this is the perfect place to do it. Probably the best place to stay in the vicinity. I spent a few weeks here and it was just amazing. Shops / restaurants are in 5-10 min walking distance in the lovely town of Xanten. The owners of the hotel were so friendly and welcoming that at the end of my stay I felt like I'm part of the family. I will definitely visit again.

I have spent here several weeks and I enjoyed my stay. It's a family run hotel where people are kind and take care of everything. Breakfast is good, rooms are clean, the area is calm. However the hotel is in the outskirt of Xanten it's easy to walk into the city center within 20 minutes. To stay here is highly recommended.

It was truly AMAZING! We stayed there because our car broke down but everything exceeded my expectations. The hosts even made breakfast earlier for us. Truly amazing experience

Really easy check in on the machine outside. The cycling facilities were excellent; secure garage and the best bike pump I have ever used :) Nice connected room for two groups of two.

The room was well equipped, the bed was big and comfortable. There was coffee and tea with a kettle in the room. It was really very good for a business overnight stay.

Its a nice concept with no service, no reception. Everything works smooth with ATM like checkin machine. Small rooms with just enough space for a bed and a small table. Can not complain. The rooms are very clean. Opposite is a super market and the city centre is within walking distance.

Very nice, small and lovingly furnished bed and breakfast hotel in the city of Xanten. Quite small but nice rooms. The boss is super nice. Very good breakfast. There is a small inner courtyard that invites you to linger on a beautiful summer evening. Gladly again!

A great place to stay if you want to spend some days in Xanten with your family. The apartment is situated in walking distance to the train station and to all interesting POIs. Very nice host, very clean rooms.

Nice apartments in the center, great location and clean. One star deducted, reason: The slatted frames of the beds in apartment "Brunhild" URGENTLY need to be replaced. It is good, but the beds/slatted frames make so loud squeaking and scratching noises with the slightest movement that you wake up yourself and your roommate several times during the night - terrible. We booked an overnight stay with 3 people because we visited the Roman Museum and took the ship across the South and North Sea the next day. Since the apartment is centrally located, we could reach everything on foot. Have a successful weekend ☆☆☆☆☆

We were a couple in Haus Siegfried. We liked it very much. The location was quiet, our bikes were safe in the inner courtyard and the welcome was great. We'll definitely be back.

Our apartment was very nice. Equipment was good and sufficient. The beds were on the upper floor and also very good. We had caught a very hot week for the stay - but the temperature was bearable even in the attic. Xanten is a very beautiful and interesting city with a number of sights. Are all recommended. Location is very central, only 10 minute walk from the train station. The hotel itself is clean, but not very modern. The staff is exceptionally helpful. The double room was quite standard, received a small fridge upon request. Unfortunately the beds were two single beds.

Very nice hotel we liked our stay. When we are in Xanten again we surrely want to stay in this hotel again. After a walk around the village looking for a restaurant we decided to have diner at the hotelrestaurant, because the menu looked the best. We were glad with our decision. The food was great. Good taste elegant presentation. Nice service.

The quality of food was quite good and the menu had some interesting dishes. The service was very fast despite a busy evening at the restaurant and quite friendly as well. Didn't like the fact that you need to pay extra for ordering vegetables instead of potatoes.

Stay every year in Xanten. Bledi and family who own the hotel are magnificent. They offer top class service and "moma's" cooking is wonderful. The rooms have been updated over the last few years but it still keeps the unique historic feel, but far more comfortable. You will enjoy the stay here. Xanten is also a cool place to visit.

A business trip where Myself and friends were treated like royalty by Bledi, his mother, and staff. Rooms were extremely comfortable with the quiet calmness of a library throughout the building. Restaurant is tops and we were treated to a spectacularly special dinner made by Mother herself. On site parking is limited, but public parking is actually easier and directly across the street. Highly recommended! The host was incredibly helpful and made our stay pleasant in every respect. The apartment is very comfortably furnished, with a nice garden for barbecuing, including garden furniture. The location is great, within a few minutes you are in the Xanten city center. We were in the apartment for two weeks, can only recommend the apartment and would love to come back.
