Much of this hotel is quality, but certain details let it down. It does not cater well for children, as the clientele is older generally. There is a slaughterhouse opposite the hotel which slaughters pigs and the noise is quite disturbing. The half board does not include children, so costs can escalate. Most loungers by the pool are reserved all day. Free drinks are limited, only full sugar drinks...

Rooms kept simple. The very nice staff easily compensates for the somewhat rustic charm.

We liked everything about the hotel and staff. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful and friendly. Room was great, with view of creek and valley. Position in the country was great, you have to have transportation to get there, but that is good because your not in town!!

Amazing hotel. Really clean and what a great location. Stayed for the nite and would of stayed longer if we could. Great breakfast bar and coffee is made to order. Take a walk while I r there and sleep with the windows open. Tucked away in the mountains so u don’t have to worry about the hassle of town. Free parking.

Very nice stay at Gasthof Hecht, warm welcome, nice bedroom and very good breakfast. The only thing is that the English version of the website shows an incorrect price of €38 per person and it is actually €44-48. I hope this will be corrected quickly since a 20% price difference to what is advertised is not a pleasant surprise.

Very good hotel in the beautiful black forest landscape. Very nice rooms and very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I've been there on a business trip but I will come back on holiday next time. Restaurant with very high quality food. Very kind staff.

Great food and a nice clean restaurant. Ate outside and enjoyed the company. Really good food and friendly staff. Tomato soup and goulash are two items you have to order. Schnitzel has awesome flavor and is tender enough to cut with a fork. Good bier selection. Have a few while u eat then head around and explore the area afterwards.

We stayed at the hotel over the weekend and were completely satisfied with everything... No matter whether it was the room, breakfast or the service... Very nice hosts. That's why I can't understand some of the bad reviews at all... If you look at others Treated the way you would like it to be treated yourself, there are no problems.... We will definitely be guests there again.

The three of us came completely wet and dirty from a mountain bike tour. We would still be offered a place independently. The hostess? showed us a room where we could change. During our meal, which was very tasty, our things were briefly washed and dried. SUPER SERVICE. Here, hospitality and service is not just a job but a calling. We'll come back when we're nearby.

Great place to stay on the Westweg rail and very good value for money. Nice room and wonderful dinner (I highly recommend to eat here). The old lady who is running the guesthaus is amazing, she can speak 5 different languages which is pretty rare, especially in the black forest where I met only few people who could speak English.

Wonderful family hotel and restaurant with a very special charm and great rooms, owner-managed by the gracious family Pastor! Great cuisine with typical dishes and seasonal, varied dishes, which are sweetened by a homemade Black Forest cake for dessert! Me and my wife can highly recommend this location, that i we visit multiple times a year!

During my business trip for 5 days, I stayed here. Frau Pastor and her husband were very accommodating and made my stay very comfortable. The food is also very nice, and the homemade cheesecake was amazing! The bed was comfortable and the room was nice. I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend to you.

5+5 Stars. This place was amazing. When we checked in iirenea greeted us and informed us of things to do. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. All the linen and towels were crisp and clean. When we were leaving we asked about dinner. I told her my wife wanted Jagerschnitzel. It was not on the menu and she said she could make it. We came back and told her we would be back in 30 min. for dinner...

We ate the soup and the käsespätzle. It was okay. Some bread with the soup would've been nice.

This beautiful little guest house was amazing! Friendly people, delicious breakfast brought straight to our table, more then what we could eat. Very quiet and romantic and perfect for the last part of our honeymoon! Close to the train station to walk, with the bus stop right out front, and to top it off, they have a guest pass for the local transportation which allowed us to explore and do so much...

Lovely room above a Greek restaurant. Close to the train station and walking distance to the Blackforest Open Air Museum (well worth a trip). The bed was very comfortable and there was everything you need for a short stay. We ate at the restaurant and the food was great.

We stayed in a room which looked directly over the Canal, to our delighted surprise. Made for a very pleasant spot to relax! Our host was very welcoming and friendly, and we enjoyed our breakfast.

Very nice parking space with only 4 places, cozy at the inn with chickens in the immediate vicinity. Railway, road and summer toboggan run not far away, but not disturbing. Shower and breakfast possibility as well as drinks and snack machines. You feel welcome. Gladly again.

Very good kitchen and food. The breakfast selection at the breakfast is very small. The whole facility is in very good condition but the hotel is in the middle of nowhere! All in all a clear recommendation for a short stay!

Stopped off at this hotel on our ride through to Austria. They made us very welcome; dried our motorcycle gear for us and provided safe and dry parking for our bike. Very help staff and the restaurant was lovely. Great food and decent beer. Would stay there again.

Seemingly family run, cosy hotel up in the hills. Warmly welcomed, best continental breakfast offering of the trip, clean, tidy and comfortable rooms with good blackout blinds providing a solid night's sleep. Plenty of parking and situated in a beautiful part of Germany. Great stay.

A perfect taste of the Black Forest! I stayed just one night, passing through the area on a long drive. The room was perfect, spacious and very comfortable. Great selection of traditional dishes on the menu, and the Black Forest Gateaux was delicious. All of the family were exceptionally pleasant, friendly and approachable. Arrived here in desperate search of accommodation after the place we booked lost our reservation. The staff were very helpful and set us up immediately in an excellent room. Good size, very clean and with an excellent view of the town. Later that night we dined in the restaurant and the food was incredible. My only regret is that we didn't have enough time to try the full menu! Thank you very much...

Super stay. Big family room very well laid out, great shower and amenities including a kettle and they left some toys for our 2 year old which was greatly appreciated.
