We booked a room for 2 people via booking.com but when we arrived, there was no one, it was dark at the reception desk and empty.
We called number we received from booking and started asking how to enter and where is the hotel stuff. On a phone we got someone working remotely, who couldn’t find our reservation, but after 10 minutes of searching they found it (?) or decided to let us in.
This is not the end! This hotel has a system that you need to get your key from one of those wall lockers via entering the code (which we also didn’t receive in an email from booking.com). In 10 more minutes we finally get a key and went to find our room. When we found it, it was just 1 person bed and because of this we needed to call them again. They even didn’t check how many people are staying.
After one more walk to “reception” outside where we got the right key we were able to check in.
With such unprofessional service I cannot recommend this hotel. We expected it to be old but this quest we got… It was not pleasant at all.

We stayed for one night and were not expecting much. My family knows this place for years, but I had never been there personally. The place has a lovely location next to the park and is relatively close to the Bus stop.
The breakfast was included and it was definitely good, considering we also here didn’t expect much. Cereals or bread, there’s options.
We also arrived after reception closed but everything was prepared for us: keys, an email with instructions on how to access them and get into the building. In that hindsight, thoroughly thought and organised, very delightful.
Room was alright, a little ages kind of furniture but if you’re more looking for a night to Atay rather than have the best modern aesthetics then this place is definitely alright. The breakfast dining hall also had lovely little antique decorations and wood frames. Personally love that they kept this touch.

Location is opposite a park which has also a castle there. Very scenic. Near VW autostatd. Room was clean, with clean towels /bedding and hairdryer. There was also a fan as it was very hot during our stay. Very polite staff. And German breakfast as always did not disappoint!

Good place for a brief stay. The hotel has seen better times, but the owners are keeping things clean and tidy. The room was spacious and well organized. The bed was comfortable. Location is the biggest asset of this hotel. It's just next to a park and only a few minutes walk from AutoStadt. One more thing - the internet was very fast.

There is basically only positive things about the Old Wolf has to say. Wonderful ambience and nice staff which has served us at our private Party. Again at any time.

The location is perfect for a good Hotel. It is approximately 1.2 km to the car city, and so much to come to the water Park. The lobby is rustic and very cozy. The Breakfast is very plentiful and something for everyone. Unfortunately, the rooms are very in the years. The Windows are very small so you can ventilate the room bad. Unfortunately, the restaurant and the terrace has closed permanently. As an Alternative, a "al Castello" and the "carriage house".

We were 4 friends and stayed in the quadruple room. Very spacious, clean and had that old charm to the building. Service was great as well.

Requests outside of the map are impossible, even after repeated requests to the operation and also the cook, it was not possible to get a private put together dish. Staff is gruff and does not know what Service means. Food is average for the price but usually. Nevertheless, we gave a tip, but received no Thank you. I don't recommend the restaurant "old Wolf".

We are very disappointed. New owners, new Service, new chefs. From what was once the best restaurateurs from Wolfsburg to bad or average. We have spent our anniversary for the last time here.
