Visited as a day guest to use the natural swimming pools. Very well set up and nice to cool off.

For an ecotourism destination, there is no place better than this. The food is awesome and people are nice. Just make sure the bring some good repellent, as the noseeums ate us alive!

We did not stay at the hotel but you can buy a day pass to go into the natural swimming pools for 300 pesos per person (kids are 200 pesos). The water was cold but refreshing since it was very hot out. It is a nice place to escape from the heat.

This property is so unique and being surrounded by Los Haitises national park is gorgeous. The room was very spacious and clean with an adorable balcony and hammock to enjoy the view. Positive: Great location and European standards. Cleans rooms, clean bed sheets and great personal. Negative: Small rooms, very uncomfortable bed and mattress was wrapped in plastic so you sweat all night long and feel like sleeping on a plastic bag, so we didn't rest in the night. No mosquito net on the windows.

Nice quiet place 5 minutos from the center of town.

I would encourage any gringos who have some problem at their fancy resort to stay in this hotel. You'll get a feel for what the Dominican Republic is actually like. It seemed to be only locals staying here and it was affordable. It was not fancy in any way, but it was comfortable enough and served it's purpose. We had a room for $900 RD a night.

Sunhouse Samana is located up the hill a little ways but you are close enough to walk to the restaurants and shops in the village. You have the best view outside of your private bed and bath. Hola. Soy turista de Corea del sur quien me quede aquí. The owner he can speak english, spanish and french. Maybe he speaks german too. So we could tell him anything we need very easy. The accomodation is really nice cuz there is hot water, fast wifi and beautiful background scene. You can see the front sea of Samaná every morning and the evening. Me encanto este lugar!

We had an amazing stay at Figaro in Jan2021. The view is gorgeous for sure but the staff is also super friendly and willing to help! The breakfast is great and the staff team also sets up bbq on the roof for weekend days, which makes the atmosphere even cozier. We spent our amazing vacation here in March 2019 and were booked to return March 2020. Sadly, covid made that impossible. We hope to return again as it was a perfect vacation. The rooms, the service, the food, beaches and pools were beyond our expectations.

There were so unusual moments that I have not experienced elsewhere ( no pool towel provided ,) a large dog onsite barking most of the day with other dogs, and poor internet service. The staff is amazingly friendly. The rooms are great. No AC but ceiling fans we're fine. Hot water, tv's. etc. It's not a big place. But it has a pool and a bus that takes you into town. The Hotel is a short drive from the beach. The complimentary breakfast is alright. Eggs, toast, cereal and Juice. The food at the restaurant is delicious. I Did not see any cats though.

A very good place to stay some nights, relatively near to the beach, comfortable and friendly people. I was 1 night and I enjoyed of they jacuzzi, air-conditioning and comfortable rooms.

It's an amazing place surrounded by nature. The whole complex has a river filled with animals running below it which is pretty neat. Only reccomendation would be to bring your reppellant since at night mosquitoes get fiesty in las Terrenas

We had such a good time. My kids loved the large pool. It was so spacious and not crowded. The beach was only a few yards away from the pool. Everything was kept neat a d clean from the common areas to the apartments. I can't say enough about the staff. They were friendly kind and understanding. I plan to go back.

It is definitely not as Booking.com shows. The small apartments have very bad ventilation and no aircon included. The place is really far from the beach and the neighborhood doesn't look nice at all.. I was walking alone at night without issue but it didn't feel nice. The owners weren't very welcoming, but definitely care about getting money. There are nicer places on the beach for the same price range

I loved this place. It's beautiful, quite (no loud music around), and the staff is helpful. It's perfect for couples. The only shortcoming is the location. As a solo traveller I didn't like to go back home alone in the night. Neighbourhood seems quite but the street is not well lit and there's no-one around

We stayed here in July 2016. The owners were very hospitable. We were in a self contained room with a kitchen. We were able to leave our car in the yard and we felt safe the entire time. I would stay here again.

The property was ok. The food was ok. There were termites in our room and on the bed due to the cheap wood used on the furniture. The staff took care of it right away but I don’t plan on staying here during our next visit to Las Terrenas. The pool was the best part.

We had an awesome time at this resort. We loved the beach, the layout of the hotel and the friendly staff. My favorite part was that there were a lot of cats in the grounds.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, but somewhat outdated. I loved the beautiful beach and huge pool. I am going to miss that beach with crystal clear turquoise water. They have a vast variety of food options in the buffet. Their food is also top quality. This resort has so many activities that it’s impossible to get bored.

We were a group of 14. We think this is a very good option in their price range. I would recommend having more control over the dogs laying around the property. They were all friendly, but for some people this could be unappealing.

My wife and I enjoyed the property. There were a few minor improvements that could be done to enhance the appearance such as the roof tiles in the room with the ocean view. But besides that, we enjoyed our stay.
