We did not stay at the hotel but you can buy a day pass to go into the natural swimming pools for 300 pesos per person (kids are 200 pesos). The water was cold but refreshing since it was very hot out. It is a nice place to escape from the heat.

I really like this place. Been here a couple of times. Every time I’m in the town a visit but this time around the service sucked. When talking to the waitress she acted like she didn’t know anything, I would ask her for something and her answer was “I don’t know”. Yet they had everything I asked that she didn’t know about. The service sucks but the place is beautiful!

I loved this place! It was like you were staying in the middle of the mountains, waterfalls everywhere, gorgeous scenery, gravel roads, all natural! I really felt in peace. Difficult to get there (horrible road) but definitely worth it! It was a magical place. We loved listening to great music that was at most times in the restaurant. We went on our honeymoon and they gave us an awesome Catalan cava to celebrate it! Awesome food and people. Incredible natural pools. Being here truly made our time in Samana. We arrived via boat and mostly experienced the restaurants and general amenities. Great place to relax and refuel for a few days. Service was truly excellent and the staff was very helpful!

Very pretty resort however not 5 star in any stretch. Firstly it is advertised as adults only. This is not true. They even have kids programs. Wifi is very spotty and we had to get new door keys almost every day. They advertised several restaurants but very hard to get reservations as only 1 specialty open per day.. top shelf booze was an extra cost as well. Buffet nice but same food everyday.

Though not a 5-star hotel in European standards, this hotel offers a relaxing vacation and very good food, has very helpful and friendly staff and is situated on top of 2 beaches. Definitely the place to pick if you plan your vacation in Samana. The town itself has nothing of interest, but the surroundings are beautiful.

Nilka Boutiqe Hotel is a nice little hotel in Samana. It is located in the second rows behind the sea. The rooms there are nicely furnished. The bed is comfortable and you can sleep well. The experience here was great. They have a remarkable service and their premises were neat at all times. The commodities offered were a great plus. I will definitely go back, they have the best value for what they offer.

Positive: Great location and European standards. Cleans rooms, clean bed sheets and great personal. Negative: Small rooms, very uncomfortable bed and mattress was wrapped in plastic so you sweat all night long and feel like sleeping on a plastic bag, so we didn't rest in the night. No mosquito net on the windows.

I would encourage any gringos who have some problem at their fancy resort to stay in this hotel. You'll get a feel for what the Dominican Republic is actually like. It seemed to be only locals staying here and it was affordable. It was not fancy in any way, but it was comfortable enough and served it's purpose. We had a room for $900 RD a night.

Amazing ocean/bay view! Richard's Sunhouse Samana was the perfect start to our honeymoon! Sunhouse Samana is located up the hill a little ways but you are close enough to walk to the restaurants and shops in the village. You have the best view outside of your private bed and bath. Hola. Soy turista de Corea del sur quien me quede aquí. The owner he can speak english, spanish and french. Maybe he speaks german too. So we could tell him anything we need very easy. The accomodation is really nice cuz there is hot water, fast wifi and beautiful background scene. You can see the front sea of Samaná every morning and the evening. Me encanto este lugar!

We had an amazing stay at Figaro in Jan2021. The view is gorgeous for sure but the staff is also super friendly and willing to help! The breakfast is great and the staff team also sets up bbq on the roof for weekend days, which makes the atmosphere even cozier. The room was great, bathroom was very clean and functional and the WiFi worked very well! Definitely recommend!

We spent our amazing vacation here in March 2019 and were booked to return March 2020. Sadly, covid made that impossible. We hope to return again as it was a perfect vacation. The rooms, the service, the food, beaches and pools were beyond our expectations.

A 'Excelente' super great resort to go to. We had a great week at this great island paradice,... specialy with Edwin, a great animator on the beach. We will go back!

We stayed at Cayo Levantado in April 2018. We stopped in a deluxe junior suite - garden side with private whirlpool..... definitely worth the upgrade! Everything at this hotel was excellent and the staff were truly amazing! The transfer is long.... but definitively worth it. Faultless...... would highly recommend! Pure luxury.......

This was a perfect resort, exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, clean, good food, this is a small resort with lots of wonderful staff, always kind, and helpful. I highly recommend this resort if you are looking to rest, meet a few other guests, enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful setting.

Deceiving advertisements on web. Claimed all inclusive but really partially inclusive. Advertising 4 restaurant, two of which are a la cart. Both a la cart restaurants closed and only offered buffet for dinner. Lunch offered limited menu and buffet. Management did not seem to care other than say they were sorry. Traveled three hours via car to reach the resort. Honeymoon package offered was not honored...

My experience at this resort was better than I expected.. except when it came to the walk back to the rooms. My card key failed 10times and I had to walk 10times back to the lobby.. it was one of the problems. Another one was the day of departure. Every staff member was rude and I got food poisoned. Very nice small hotel with basicaly 25 clients maximum. Comfy bungalows without aircond but with a direct access to the pool or private beach. The hotel is owed by a nice couple of frenchies therefore the restaurant is good, except maybe for breakfast that I would juge as minimalist... this is a cozy clean resort with beautiful ocean views, very nice and friendly staff. Food in the restaurant is an excellent, gourmet experience. the beach is pure, made for romance. for our kids it was the best holiday. We will definitely come back here.
