Extremely clean and comfortable!! Got a private room here on our Camino. We arrived before check-in (unknowingly) and they had the room ready for us in 10 mins. The room was beautiful and we had a very nice night. We could hear some noises from pipes and talking in adjacent rooms but during the night I heard nothing and slept great. I would stay here again. The restaurant downstairs, Las Cantanillas, is AMAZING!! out of this world fantastic!

Cozy, clean, located in everything you need in 10 mins by walk, also pretty close to the bus station. The host is friendly and sweet. Absolutely a nice place to have rest during the Camino de Santiago.

I loved staying here. It was just what I needed on my Camino. A night in a lovely hotel, the room was simple but had everything even towels, shampoo and shower gel. It was easy to reach the center, it’s just a few minutes walking but really close at the river which is lovely for walks.

So clean you could call them jerks about it. Pricey for what you get. 158€ for two nights on for my stay. My biggest complaint is that the bed was a major problem: I could feel the springs from the mattress and it was also hard as a rock, so laying on my side the springs were pressing into my hip and it was actually painful. Might as well have slept on the floor. I booked because it was short notice and everything else semi-reasonably priced was full. I wouldn’t stay here again. Terrible terrible bed.

Centrally located beside the road hostel. Great service and the design is very refreshing. Big room for a single occupancy with a balcony.

Great location, especially if you're coming off the green route of the El Camino Frances. The room I had (211) is a little small but fine for it only being me and I'm only sleeping there.

It's a bit tricky going to the bathroom (shared, in the hall) in the middle of the night because the room key is needed to operate the lights so getting the key into the slot, in the dark, is tough when you're only barely awake 🤣

The room has a sink which helps reduce shared bathroom issues. A huge plus!

Bed is super comfy!
Staff great too!
Highly recommend!

The hostal is right outside the old town. The hostal and rooms are very clean, simple and modern. Rooms had good wifi and a little desk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is no kitchen, kettle, coffee machine or common space which is a little challenging for a pilgrim - especially on a Sunday morning.

I stayed in a private room. Nice, clean hostel - bathrooms were kept tidy though they were shared. The whole place is a bit more sterile feeling because of the fragmented layout, lack of common areas, and fact that reception is not around 24/7 - so just heads up it’s more of a hotel or apartment-like experience. Great location at the edge of the historical quarter. Rooms come with a small sink which is convenient. Cons: 2-key system was slightly cumbersome (since you have to take it with you to the bathroom). Also couldn’t figure out how to get the exterior blinds down which was annoying because you’re then exposed to the street at night.

I stayed in room 202, a double room with its own little balcony. Considering that I'm walking the Camino de Santiago, something this nice doesn't come very often.

The bed was super comfy and allowed me to recuperate my energy. The room has its own sink, so I didn't have to wait for the shared bathroom to shave or just brush my teeth.

The rooms and the shared bathroom are kept sparkling clean.

The hostel is close to a busy intersection, so it can get a bit noisy if your room faces the street. But ear plugs allowed me to sleep well regardless.

The wifi works extremely well.

Happy Hostal Carrales is located 5 minutes away from a laundromat and supermarket. It's about a 10-minute walk from the cathedral and all other points of interest Burgos has to offer.

A bit more expensive than my other Camino digs, but well worth the price in my opinion.
