A must stop on your way to Madrid from northern Spain (or vice versa). The morcilla with eggs is the speciality dish and highly recommended. It's a cozy atmosphere with the smell of a wood fire in the air. A perfect pit stop for travelers. Also, easy to miss coming off the highway so pay close attention to the GPS!!

Was just a stop over for us going to San Sebastian from Madrid. Good food and nice outdoor area. Large area that's good for a walk in between a long drive.

A slightly weird rebuilt castle and similarly designed adjacent building and pool. Similar decor inside that takes you back in time. Our suite with a huge four poster bed, separate bathroom and seating area with a freestanding bath. Dining in a chaotic bar area and breakfast served but a very confusing menu.

We were very dissatisfied with Hotel Landa claiming to be a 5 star hotel, while this is not the case. At arriving there, everything seemed to be fine & they greeted us very warmly. They offered to park our car & carry our luggage. Well, unfortunately, this did not last long. As soon as they introduced us to our room, they advised that there is no heating at the moment. Let me tell u that the temperature in Burgos is quite low at that period onwards,
especially at night, so we suffered this. Then, we got ready to visit the so famous indoor pool. We never managed to use it, as it was extremely frozen. How can a hotel of this supposed level not have a heated indoor pool? Then, this is of no use at any time of the year other than summer months & should not be advertised all year long. Please note this was one of the main reasons we chose this place; to make
use of the pool. Here, as u can see from the photos attached, I would like to point out the poor cleaning measures we encountered both at the pool &
our bathroom. Unfortunately, we did not take a photo of the bathroom, as we got disgusted from the spider nets in the corners. Disappointed, we decided to go to their bar to have light dinner. The
waiter did not seem attentive at all (there were only 3 tables including us) & we had to search for him every once in a while. At night, we decided to go outdoors with our car. On returning, we could
not enter the hotel's parking, as the mechanism is not automated. So we had to park on another side, get inside to inform them to only tell us that it is manual meaning that u actually have to get out the car, lift it with your own hands & get back in to drive it to the parking! Next day, before doing the checkout, we went downstairs to the same bar to
get a quick coffee before leaving. There we were faced with an unacceptable behaviour of an employee. We approached the bar in the
beginning to order & informed we will be seating on the terrace. The girl said that she will not serve us there & when we asked why, she said there
is no service there. We said OK, we will pick them up from the bar, can u pls process the order? She aggressively replied that we cannot sit over there & when I asked the reason, as another person was already seated & served there, she said: This is only for hotel customers. We told her that we stay in the hotel & then she left. When our order was ready, someone else attended us. We felt first of all discriminated as it seemed that based on our looks, she did not believe we have the possibility of staying
there & then, ignored in general, as the hotel did not have many guests at these days, so better communication amongst them should have occurred. At the checkout, no one offered to assist either with our car nor luggage. It seems that after paying the bill, no one really cares. Based on all the above, we express our extreme frustration with the hotel, as the money we paid were not up to the expected standards. We do not recommend, do not get fooled by social media & advertising.

Genuinely offended by the service from start to finish at this place (Saturday 3rd August). Greeted by unbelievably rude and arrogant staff, who were then outdone by an even ruder restaurant manager doing the lunch service. My father in law politely told her that the service was a bit of a shame, which her reaction was “well we have a baptism today” and rolled her eyes at us like that was our fault. I went to the bathroom three times during the lunch, each time letting her go past first, not once did she even say thank you. Service rotten to the core, it’s a crime that you can operate like this in such a beautiful building.
If anyone from management reads this, the junior staff you have working were fine but anyone wearing a white suit was an utter disgrace.

Reading some reviews I can understand some disappointment, but the negative comments concern mostly the service at the bar and the restaurant which, indeed, can be sloppy. However the hotel is very beautiful, and not pricey for what you get. Very good experience overall

The cafeteria is not well organized lately. Nobody in the bar serving customers. Only is possible to wait for a table. Not good. Something is changing in the wrong direction. Unfortunately.

Landa hotel is iconic. I don’t think you’ll find many places like it.
The staff is lovely and the hotel is stunning.

Best hotel luxury comfortable beautiful sincerely kind and helpful staff. Side of the highway Spanish roadtrip classic! Burgos has nice cathedrals and monasteries to visit but the Landa is worth it alone. Impossible to choose from all the delicious food on the menu … baked goods are perfect. Swimming pool could be a little warmer. It would be perfect if a small spa sauna steam and massage existed.

I fell in love with every inch of this hotel. I only had one night but it was fabulous. A must stay for hotel lovers. Of all the hotels I've stayed in, by far this is beautiful. It just hugs you. 🤍
