We had a very enjoyable, comfortable & peaceful stay.
The staff are friendly, helpful & professional.
The rooms are kept very clean, worth paying for a sea view.
Tastefully decorated, elegant Hotel, with very nice, well kept gardens and places to relax, impressive swimming pool.
Plenty of good choice for breakfast and impressive restaurant for fine dining. Perfect position and a short walk to the beautiful beaches and restaurants overlooking the sea.
We are very much looking forward to staying again.

This was such a great suprise! We were looking for a hotel in Costa Brava, specifically in Calella de Pallafrugell and this was the best possible choice. The hotel was super calm and quiet, there were not that many guest but all the venues were super nice and clean. Breakfast were the same everyday and I missed some fresh vegetable, but besides that we only have good things to say about Alga. There were so many hidden corners where you can just chill or even work (as we did for two days of our holiday), the pool is really nice and you are about 4 minutes by walk from the beach. I cannot recommend this place more and I am looking forward to coming back!!!

I loved this hotel, the grounds are beautiful and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The pool was spacious and thankfully there were not too many guests so plenty of choice of sunbeds. My only two issues with this hotel were that the elevator was out of action pretty much the whole time we were there and that the coffee facilities in the room included instant coffee - at this price point I would have expected better coffee, either filter or espresso pods etc. oh, and it’s at the top of a pretty steep hill when returning from the beach. All this said, I would return happily.

Honestly, this is a terrible, old hotel costing 250 euros per night, and this price does not include parking (even though Booking claims it’s free) or the tourist tax!
The rooms are old, the furniture is awful, and there is zero style in this hotel. The bathroom was dreadful, with mould and an old shower. I didn’t even use the shower! The lift was broken on the day we arrived.
Breakfast was very meagre, with only bread and rolls offered, no greens or proper vegetables.
In the end, we were forced to pay an additional 18 euros for parking, and they wouldn’t allow us to leave the car for an extra two hours, even though the parking in the neighbouring building was half the price. Also, we had to pay the tourist tax. You'd expect such small things to be included in 250 euros per night!
Terrible service, with managers who are not interested in customer satisfaction. Even one star is too much.

Great Hotel in one of the cutest towns in Costa Brava. A cozy hotel that balances perfectly the needs of the different kinds of tourists. I enjoyed all my stays there and I will repeat.

Very good hotel, might have originated as a 1960s concrete monstrosity but has been brought up to date with style and taste.
On-site restaurant pretty good and beach a 5-minute stroll away. Rooms on the small side but decent quality with electric shutters and aircon. Pool and surrounding area very good.
Gym is equipped to a reasonable standard but aircon remained broken all week despite protestations. Working out in 34C was interesting!
