Precise Resort-The Hotel in El Rompido

Reception smells faintly of sewage/damp
Accommodation is dated and cold
No kids club - despite it being advertised.
Staff are unhelpful - borderline rude.
Charging 12 euros per person to use the pool of a 4* hotel is a joke.
Lots of the facilities are closed.

Just got back from a 5 night 4 round golf stay. The room was poor and above the reception/bar area which was very noisy on an evening. Staff were very rude and unhelpful not only in the hotel but also in the golf clubhouse and the course. Prices for drinks fluctuated from day to day. Food was ok but had a few bits of meat and fish that didn’t taste good. Nothing to do away from golf El Rompido is a ghost town. Definitely not a 5 star venue 3 stars at the most. If you are going for a lads golf holiday all inclusive this is the place to go

Rooms were clean, a good size and bed comfy. Staff were very friendly although very short staffed in the bar - woeful service. Golf courses needs some maintenance as starting to look tired. Plenty of supplybof buggies. Shop is amazing! Such good choice for both men and women. Out of 4 nights we only had one evening of entertainment - unusual for this type of hotel. The singer on the last night of our stay was great and really interacted with our group. Great fun, shame it was only one night. We paid for semi inclusive pre-paid drinks between 5pm and 11pm (makes it easier as we were a group of 13). But it took 20 minutes for drinks to arrive, one evening we waited 1 hour for our drinks even after a couple of times asking where they were we still had none. We were not allowed to get them from the bar ourselves. Customers paying had them before us. They wouldn't deliver them to our table at dinner, we had now waited an hour and needed food. I asked to speak to a manager after waiting 40 minutes but nothing was done. 1 hour 15 minutes later we gave up and went to dinner where at least we had table wine and water. After dinner was better, but we were told we couldn't order the next drink until we had FULLY finished our previous drink, not even a ccoffee.so waited 20 minutes at least between drinks. They were treating us as though they were giving us free drinks!!! Definately not good value or a positive experience. The next day I asked to speak to a manager who was lovely but our night suffered. We still laughed and had a good night but it was dry. Outside pool was fresh, too cold for some but manageable. Free train to beach was great.

Hotel was tired and in need of refurbishment. I travelled with Solos Holidays between 11 to 18 October. One guest on our holiday found a rat in her room. Generally the hotel was no more than a 3 star at best, no kettle or tea tray in room, no evening entertainment other than the first night. Food not great and much of the hot dishes lukewarm! Would not return here.
