Very safe and very close to the town centre

Friendly staff, good location (8 minutes walk to town), great breakfast choice, good bedroom, does the business

The only negative was that we could hear all the noise from the hallway..the main door had a huge gaps. The personal is very nice, helpful, speaking English, and they also did have gluten free sweet options on the breakfast buffet and lactose free milk what was great! There is a coffee bar with some food options inside.

Rooms and decorations are a bit tired for a 4* hotel. However the service is excellent and very friendly.

Came for the Roman walls, stayed for the rooftop views and breakfast that made me question my life choices—why haven’t I been here every day? Staff friendlier than my own family. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys comfort, history, and a good laugh at how spoiled they’ve become.

Visitamos Lugo, su maravillosa muralla romana, la catedral, el museo provincial y dos domus romanas. Paseamos por la Plaza Mayor y su precioso ayuntamiento barroco. La parada para comer en la terraza del Hotel Méndez Nuñez, agradable y buen menú, carpacio de pulpo y lubina al horno. Buena mouse de limón y tarta de moka.

Es más caro que la media pero lo que ofrece es también superior. Carpacho de pulpo (bueno) tataki de atún (muy mejorable, no nos gustó. Pasado y calidad de atun no muy buena), también carne, bien hecha, jugosa y en su punto, la tarta de queso con moca está buena, pero no el brownie le falta jugosidad y menos horno, era casi un bizcocho de chocolate. Me gusta mucho la predisposición de los camareros...

He estado con el IMSERSO, y no puedo decir nada malo de hotel. No es un hotel recién construido, pero funciona perfectamente. El check-in fue muy rápido, y atendieron sin problemas las peticiones factibles sobre el tipo de camas que queríamos (dos camas). The chef cook very good, food in the restaurant was fresh and delicious. Hotel and rooms seemed little old fashion but clean. The pool is outside of hotel area so you need slippers (like a rule) if you want to use it. And ask for towels in the reception. For me was kind of surprise and I was asked to go and buy a pair if I wanna use this amenities. Next to the pool, you can enjoy the sun on the grass...

On the back of some challenging days on Camino Primitivo our stay at this place was delightful. Very clean, spacious, elegant and very well located next to the wall. Very good service, nothing was a problem. Great breakfast and cafe/bar Highly recommend.

My partner and I stayed here a year ago (visiting from Canada) for two nights and we loved our experience. The hotel had a classic decor but all the functionality we required. We had breakfast one morning and it was an incredible spread - various meats, cheeses, fruits, cakes and more - we felt very lucky! The location is excellent. Despite its close proximity to bars, we couldn't hear noise from outside...

We were happy to be able to reserve a room at short notice but didn't realize what a truly wonderful hotel the Monumento Pazo de Orbán e Sangro is until we arrived. Stayed one night as part of the Camino. The hotel is just outside the old city walls, and you can easily walk to the old town. The hotel is quite new and has nice, clean rooms - though not very large. The staff is friendly and helpful, and all speak some English. The buffet breakfast was great, lots of choices and freshly brewed coffee. Also good non gluten options.

This was a nice hotel for us to stay during our Camino. It is located just outside the walls of the central city area of Lugo. The rooms are quiet and well apportioned. Nice size bathroom. Very good breakfast with many choices. Excellent stay for anyone to indulge a little while on the Camino

Perfect hotel we have been going for a long time since we are a soccer team they have treated us great always good food and very attentive this year we could not stay since they were under construction due to change of address

A very beautiful restored house with a beautiful surrounding area, the food of the ordago, quality and superb elaboration .. A couple of euros more expensive than normal but you make sure you eat well ... If you want to eat well, this is undoubtedly one of those sites.

Excellent place of rest and vacation. Quiet, rural charm. A car is really welcome to visit the surroundings. Better a hotel in town to enjoy tapas every night, but ideal for those seeking calm and authenticity

Peaceful place. The deal with Sergio the fantastic manager. They serve lunch and dinner. An unbeatable setting and well located 7 km from Lugo. Spacious rooms and beautiful house very well decorated. We went with a small dog and no problem because they admit animals. We will surely return, our guaranteed getaway.

Budget hotel but nice and clean. You can choose to park in the garage for €6 or there’s some outdoor parking available if you’re lucky. The rooms were a bit cold because the apartment is tiled, however, there is a radiator that you can turn on and off. The kitchenette is perfect if you want to cook something, with a mini fridge too. This honest-to-goodness hotel is clean , tidy and great value. The breakfast is superb. Staff in all areas were great and English was spoken well. It's a short walk to town. Lugo itself is a bit of a let-down. Although it boasts a complete Roman wall to walk round, the buildings both inside and out are unsympathetically at odds with the historic location.

Very very good, you can see the professionalism, both in the service and in the food. Very rich dishes, abundant and with a perfect presentation. To finish off the icing the very appropriate prices. The place is very well decorated and spacious. Thanks to all the staff for showing that things can be done very well and also with a good face. Perfect location just outside city wall near cathedral. Very friendly, helpful staff. We took advantage of their washing service. Room was basic but comfortable. Nice old fashioned feel to place. We stayed 2 nights on the Primitivo and would absolutely recommend it as a stopping point. Very good value for money.

Excellent parking, careful construction in the details of a traditional house, clean, chestnut-style furniture, excellent carpentry, well-appointed lounges and bar. Improvable attention, very dry, it will be the fatigue of the staff but we consider that we all need to be well attended.

Breakfast was good but only do a cooked menu del dia Monday to Thursday. But there is a nice, but noisy, restaurant/bar in walking distance but you have to cross the main road by bridge to get there. But food and price good

We have been two nights 3 people in a room with a huge bathroom. It has a cafeteria and restaurant that offers breakfast and dinner. Buffet breakfast very good. For dinner there is a menu with tapas and a daily menu for €12 with 3 starters and 3 seconds to choose from. Very good and abundant food...for us the quantity, even excessive. At reception they gave us a map and explained perfectly how to get...

A really friendly place where the staff look after you like family. The rooms are impeccably clean. The food service is prompt, simple but delicious. The location is just a perfect distance outside the Roman-walled centre of Lugo. This is a place frequented by locals for the cafe/bar and returned to by tourists. Certainly I intend to!
