Where to stay in Lugo

Great Hotel, specially for business people. Very comfortable rooms, quiet and close to the highways. The restaurant and breakfast are good value for money.

Friendly staff, good location (8 minutes walk to town), great breakfast choice, good bedroom, does the business

The only negative was that we could hear all the noise from the hallway..the main door had a huge gaps. The personal is very nice, helpful, speaking English, and they also did have gluten free sweet options on the breakfast buffet and lactose free milk what was great! There is a coffee bar with some food options inside.

Season change. A/C was off. Sleep with Windows open. Pillows too hard for Americans taste. Rest.is OK.

This hotel is not bad, but if u want more comfort don't book room here. Rooms looks like 20 years ago. Price vs comfort is terrible to big. I spend 7 night here, guys from reception don't help me becouse don't speak english or little bit. Breakfast is not good, only orange juices is perfect. This honest-to-goodness hotel is clean , tidy and great value. The breakfast is superb. Staff in all areas were great and English was spoken well. It's a short walk to town. Lugo itself is a bit of a let-down. Although it boasts a complete Roman wall to walk round, the buildings both inside and out are unsympathetically at odds with the historic location.

Despite being the oldest hotel in Galicia, the Hotel Mendez Nunez is modern, comfortable and overall amazing! We wanted to drop our bags early and instead were able to check into our room for a much needed rest. The food at the Terrace is amazing. And the staff are quite friendly. I will absolutely stay here again!

Absolutely great hotel, easy to store our bikes which was crucial. We had to leave another hotel in Lugo that same evening because they would not allow us to store them. Very friendly gentleman at the reception, very supportive and great room too. Thank you very much!

Stayed here as part of my Camino trip. Clean comfortable room. Room fridge stocked with water and restocked each day if requested at the front desk. Pleasant breakfast. Helpful staff. Only fault, ( and why no 5 ) Kept having to get the room card reset !

Its a very clean nice place close to main attractions 10-15 minutes walking distance to stores restaurants museum , muralla Romana and The Cathedral❤️ also🤔has a nice cafetería open until late night

The chef cook very good, food in the restaurant was fresh and delicious. Hotel and rooms seemed little old fashion but clean. The pool is outside of hotel area so you need slippers (like a rule) if you want to use it. And ask for towels in the reception. For me was kind of surprise and I was asked to go and buy a pair if I wanna use this amenities. Next to the pool, you can enjoy the sun on the grass...

Great location. Ok amenities. Right by one of the gates through the wall. Beds are firm. Room is adequate but sparse. Good for the price IMHO.

Very nice staff. The room was fairly clean, but several small details could easily been improved, like the soap dispenser not working in the shower, another soap dispenser was without soap, the towels we hung so they easily could be dropped in the toilet, the shower curtain was far too long making it easy to step on while showing and I also did find the room a bit cold without being able to turn on...

Fantastic deal for the price. 24 euros for a private room with private bath. 24-hour staff that is quite attentive. The room does get very cold as they shut off the heat from midnight until 6pm, and the walls are thin, but you get a good night’s rest. Warning, the bathroom isn’t the cleanest.

I have come with a group of friends to spend a few days and we have eaten here the three days that we have been. They treat us great and the food is homemade. On the back of some challenging days on Camino Primitivo our stay at this place was delightful. Very clean, spacious, elegant and very well located next to the wall. Very good service, nothing was a problem. Great breakfast and cafe/bar Highly recommend.

My partner and I stayed here a year ago (visiting from Canada) for two nights and we loved our experience. The hotel had a classic decor but all the functionality we required. We had breakfast one morning and it was an incredible spread - various meats, cheeses, fruits, cakes and more - we felt very lucky! The location is excellent. We were happy to be able to reserve a room at short notice but didn't realize what a truly wonderful hotel the Monumento Pazo de Orbán e Sangro is until we arrived. Very nice staff the welcoming was very warm and they advised us places to go near town Lugo. I lost a bracelet which they found before I knew and gave it back to me it was really a nice detail, that bracelet has a lot of sentimental value to me.

We were in the coworking for one month. The place was very comfortable, with a lot of light and the option of contracting also the gym at the same building. The staff was very kind from the first contact with them. The place is not in the center but there are a lot of restaurants and services very close.

Best Hotel so far. We are travelling from Germany through France to Spain. Every night different Hotel and this is the best once. Had a very nice experience over the Christmas holiday week. It can be a struggle in Lugo to find a quiet hotel that isn't full of people having 4am after-club hookups. Not a single disappointment throughout my stay and the ladies were very diligent about cleaning my room regardless of it being Christmas eve and Christmas saggy. I will be staying again.

The hotel is located just a three-minute walk from the city hall, in a quiet area, less than one minute away from the bus station. The room was clean and with plenty of space, and the bed was quite comfortable.

We had a slight delay in entering the room, but nothing major. The room was generally quite clean, although the lack of plugs near the beds was surprising. Also, as usual, the third bed was a tad rubbish. Other than that, great location, and a really good breakfast! Great for a one night stay.

Breakfast was good but only do a cooked menu del dia Monday to Thursday. But there is a nice, but noisy, restaurant/bar in walking distance but you have to cross the main road by bridge to get there. But food and price good

We have been two nights 3 people in a room with a huge bathroom. It has a cafeteria and restaurant that offers breakfast and dinner. Buffet breakfast very good. For dinner there is a menu with tapas and a daily menu for €12 with 3 starters and 3 seconds to choose from. Very good and abundant food...for us the quantity, even excessive. Excellent location, outside the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to get around quickly. Good cleaning overall. Room with reduced dimensions but functional. Weak wifi signal. Overall, quite pleased.

Very nice place. The people hosting the hostal is really nice and will make their best for you to have a superb stay. The place is clean, nice showers, comfortable beds and really well located just few minutes from the wall and the centre with all the amenities just seconds from the place door !

Super friendly reception - gave me (a solo motorcyclist) some fab tips for places to visit and foods to try in restaurants all around Galicia. Rooms were much more than basic and clean, and were a delight to stay in.

A really friendly place where the staff look after you like family. The rooms are impeccably clean. The food service is prompt, simple but delicious. The location is just a perfect distance outside the Roman-walled centre of Lugo. This is a place frequented by locals for the cafe/bar and returned to by tourists. Certainly I intend to!

A very beautiful restored house with a beautiful surrounding area, the food of the ordago, quality and superb elaboration .. A couple of euros more expensive than normal but you make sure you eat well ... If you want to eat well, this is undoubtedly one of those sites.

Excellent place of rest and vacation. Quiet, rural charm. A car is really welcome to visit the surroundings. Better a hotel in town to enjoy tapas every night, but ideal for those seeking calm and authenticity

Peaceful place. The deal with Sergio the fantastic manager. They serve lunch and dinner. An unbeatable setting and well located 7 km from Lugo. Spacious rooms and beautiful house very well decorated. We went with a small dog and no problem because they admit animals. We will surely return, our guaranteed getaway.
