Hotel Plaza Cavana

My wife and I visited the Cavana plaza hotel, Nerja in October and we absolutely loved it. The staff were brilliant and the hotel is perfectly situated for people wanting to be in the center of the town, which is quintessentially old Spain, beautiful really beautiful. The facilities in the hotel are excellent and the roof top pool and bar are a real bonus. Our room had duel aspect Juliet balconies which looked on to the Plaza and were perfect for chilling, people watching and just watching the world go by.

Just returned today from a 4 day holiday at the wonderful Hotel Plaza Cavana. As a special birthday holiday trip we'd booked a room with a terrace and sea view, we were assigned room 304....WOW! What an amazing experience. The views of Nerja Church of San Salvador and the sea were breathtaking, the location of the hotel is perfect right in the heart of Nerja, but I have to say the service that we received from every member of staff was the most memorable. Thank you to all at The Hotel Plaza Cavana for making our birthday treat so special, we will definitely be coming back soon X

Lovely hotel in the centre of Nerja, super close to the balcon and old town tapas bars and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options and the staff were always so friendly and helpful. The receptionist was particularly helpful when we requested spa massage at the hotel, Patricio the masseuse was excellent and my partner and I both had the most lovely relaxing massage. The rooms are cleaned daily and always spotless with all the necessities such as fridge and coffee making facilities.
This was our second visit and we definitely hope to return again next year!

booked last minute decided to stay stay in beautiful Nerja overnight. this hotel was STUNNING. rooftop pool with 360 views, breakfast was delish and in such a perfect location. our room was spotless wish we had more time. the staff were also super friendly and kind letting us borrow a few things since our stay was spontaneous. we will definitely return. thank you for the amazing memories!

Just back from a fantastic 3 night stay in Plaza Cavana. This was our 3rd time staying here.
-Very central for scenic walks, beaches, restaurants, bars etc
-Clean, spacious rooms
-Breakfast buffet had lots of variety and it was lovely to have the option of eating outside
-Pool with cocktails on the roof is my favourite part.
-Staff are always so helpful and friendly.
We will be returning again shortly 😁

Return Visit - excellent hotel centrally located in Plaza Cavana only 100 meters (approx) from the Balcon de Europa. The hotel is maintained to a very high standard, rooms are comfortable and very clean. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We look forward to our return.

What a gem of a hotel - a lucky find.
Stayed in early March. Town is not too busy at this time - just how we like it.

I can't believe how lucky we were to arrive here on a small package deal. It included breakfast, which is unrivalled - hot cooked or continental.
We had a lovely room to the rear with a juliet balcony overlooking little coffee terrace and cafe opposite. What a delight, to open the full length shutters and breathe in the local culture.
Fantastic roof terrace for sunbathing on loungers, (pool for warmer weather) drinks and snacks, tables and chairs and not forgetting the views!!! Everything kept beautifully clean and tidy.
Hotel is right in center for town, by the Balcon de Europa, and local beaches.

We spent 10 days at Plaza Cavana in February 2024, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Firstly, the location is superb, in a pedestrianised area a few minutes walk from the Balcon de Europa, the lovely little Calahonda Beach, and very close to lots of bars and restaurants. It's also within easy walking distances to all of the Nerja beaches.
The hotel itself is very friendly, the rooms are decent sizes and nicely appointed, and although in a busy tourist area, it is very quiet at night. An excellent buffet breakfast is available, with hot and cold food, fresh fruit, fresh bread and croissants. The rooftop pool has plenty of loungers, nice views, and there is a bar serving drinks and snacks.
Our personal preference is for this type of hotel as we don't need the facilities provided by the large 4 or 5 star hotels, and this proved to be a very good example. We would definitely consider returning in the future.

My husband and I just spent two nights at a Hotel Plaza Cavana, and absolutely loved it. The room was immaculate, and on the backside of the hotel on a very quiet street. The bed was very very comfortable. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful – helping us with parking, helping us figure out restaurants to eat at, giving directions. And the buffet breakfast was the best breakfast we’ve ever had included in a hotel stay. We absolutely loved it. The central location was also great! If we are ever back in Nerja, we would definitely stay at Hotel Plaza, Cavana again I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone.. It’s a great place.
