I had a lovely time at hotel Riu Mónica. The staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming! On arrival they offered a glass of champagne or juice and offered me an early check in which was great. My room was beautiful with an amazing view of the sea and pool. I enjoyed the facilities , the gym and indoor heated pool as well as the sun loungers at the outside pool. The location is perfect, next to the beach and after check out , I was still allowed to use the facilities. I would definitely go back!

Another wonderful stay at this fab hotel. Stayed for 2.weeks. Marvellous staff delicious food and comfortable surroundings. Located on the seafront just a short walk from the centre of Nerja. I celebrated my birthday during my stay and a bottle of Prosecco was brought to our room. You can join the RUI loyalty scheme and earn points which earn you discounts room upgrades etc depending on how many points you have. We used ours towards our drinks bill. I highly recommend this hotel and am looking forward to my next stay there in beautiful Nerja.

Our stay was most enjoyable. This was our 4th stay at the Riu Monica. We stayed for 3 weeks and we were well looked after. Wifi was free anywhere in the hotel. Buffet breakfast and dinner was lovely so much to choose from. The staff at the Riu Monica are so friendly and helpful always a warm smile from them. The only thing that could have been better is there is no English tv only Sky news. It rained heavy for 2/3 days and the british tv would have appreciated. Maybe they will have it in the future all other countries were catered for.

What a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff kind friendly and super efficient. Our hotel room was on the 3rd floor facing the sea. It was a side sea view but we could see the sea and mountains which was perfect for us. The hotel staff were very kind and provided us with a bottle of fizz for our anniversary. Very thoughtful of them and we didn’t expect this. Although the hotel seemed to have the majority of elderly clients this did not spoil our break at all. The food was amazing. No complaints and we will definitely visit again.

Our second visit to this hotel, and it didn’t disappoint. Great friendly welcome , our room was spacious and spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. Have never been a fan of half board, but the food here is good. Plenty of variety, lovely fresh salads, and plenty of fish which we both like. Staff are a great asset, those in dining room never stop working, and reception staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others

This property is beautifully located right on the beach. It is however a much older clientele. We felt out of place as two younger travelers.
I would choose an airbnb that is near the city center if you are younger. The people that were enjoying the property looked very happy and the place is spotless!

Overpriced
Overpriced, took an hour to check in because the booking wasn't on the system so if U book last minute as we did U have to wait. Food was awful. Definitely not a 4 star hotel , for €250 a night I expected a lot better. Delay to check in and the fact the pool closed at 6:30pm meant we had 25mins at the pool, was dirty, tissues floating in it. Pool bar shut at 6pm, guy was pretty rude when I enquired about getting a drink. Staff in the restaurant were pleasant.

Wonderful family weekend.
Wonderful hotel in the heart of Nerja and on the beach. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Everyone a joy to deal with. Offered Cava on arrival and a complimentary shower/changing room as we didn’t leave the property until 6.00 pm.
Highly recommend. Spotless, lovely decor, fantastic setting.
