Enjoyed my stay at Vigilia Park, had a spacious room on the second floor and my son and his girlfriend were a few doors down. The roof top terrace has spectacular views and lots of sun beds to relax, and enjoy the outlook. There are two pools, I used the roof top one, it has a Lifeguard present at all times. The breakfast was varied each day and there is a fab coffee machine. The staff were friendly and helpful and the cleaners worked tirelessly. The surrounding area has lots of lovely beaches along the coast and interesting things to see, we went on the dolphin and whale trip, which left from the harbour, it was a three hour trip and we saw a family of whales, a trip highlight, totally amazing. I will definitely be back to Vigilia Park!

Hotel was very good for a 2 star establishment and we very much enjoyed our stay. Our room had a sea view and was clean and had everything we needed. Basic but good value for money. Roof top pool with bar was great although expensive and we used it most days. The local area had many bars and restaurants which were good value. The staff generally were friendly and helpful with the cleaners keeping the complex spotless.

Lovely, clean and spacious apartments in a great location. Once we got used to the area found some really fabulous places to eat. The location is very hilly so if you have mobility problems this could be a challenge, but after we found the hidden lift at the car hire place opposite the entrance this was a game changer and allowed us access to even more places and less of a struggle up the hill. The sunsets and sunrises were spectacular. We paid extra for Breakfast, the first two days were ok but the food on offer deteriorated and was not worth the extra money. Spoke to the kitchen staff on duty and one was very rude and shrugged her shoulders and walked off. The reception and cleaning staff could not of been nicer. We used the downstairs pool and although it was very nice it would of been brilliant with an open bar.

I would never return to this hotel — it was a deeply disappointing experience. The staff, in general, were rude and unhelpful, with one lifeguard in particular standing out for all the wrong reasons. He repeatedly prevented my son from using his inflatable and pool toys, even when the pool was completely empty. Strangely, these items are sold at the hotel, yet their use is prohibited — a complete contradiction and very frustrating for families. What was even more concerning was the lifeguard's behavior. He was often absent from his post or distracted on his phone. It was clear that his focus was not on guest safety, which is especially troubling for families with young children who are not confident swimmers. The enforcement of rules around the pool was inconsistent and unfair. While my child was scolded for having toys in the water, other guests were allowed to blast loud music — something that was supposedly also against the rules. This double standard was infuriating. This hotel is absolutely not child-friendly. The lack of supervision, poor staff attitude, and mixed messaging about pool safety make it unsuitable for families. If you have young children or are expecting a relaxing, welcoming environment, I strongly advise you to stay elsewhere.

Fantastic holiday just far from everything, no games allowed in pool , no entertainment , not really ideal if you have children that want to have fun with floats balls etc in pool but rooms very clean big . 40 euros to get to live areas and 21.50 euros on bus , swimming pools very deep, did not stop children staying in them all day but they would of loved floats or a ball or music 😀 lidl only a little walk and sports bar good

Stayed 7 nights at the vigilla apartments 2star when we arrived we were greated by a nice chap checked us in and shown us to our room .our room was a side sea view over looking the clifts .It was amazing views .the room was clean nice size .fantastic shower .bed comfy kitchen everything you needed .can be noisy at night due to other guests and people coming back from bars and restaurants. Also if your not up for walking far it's very hilly and killer walking uphill .but all in all every thing was fantastic.remember it's 2 ⭐hotel but in my opinion it's more .

So I wasn't expecting much after reading the reviews and noting it was rated 2* but I was pleasantly surprised. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with everything needed for a short stay. There was a double bed and a pull out sofabed in the lounge. There were only 2 of us but as there was no TV in the bedroom we took full advantage of the sofa bed to watch TV. We could log into netflix with our credentials and watch out favourite TV shows if we had an early night. The reception is at the end of a shopping arcade, and as we arrived early they let us store our luggage in the luggage room, whilst we went off for something to eat. We always eat out but had we decided to self-cater there is a Lidl literally 5 minutes walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful and reception is open 24 hours. There are two pools, one downstairs and one on the rooftop. Happy hour is 3 until 4 daily and the views from the rooftop terrace are stunning. The perfect place to get a tan whilst sipping cocktails. There is a hot tub up there too and mini golf. Outside the hotel there is a taxi rank that can take you into Los Gigantes, Puerto del santiago or Playa de la Arena if you fancy a change of scenery. Although if you're up to it you can walk to Los G in 12 minutes and Puerto de Santiago in 10 minutes down one of the two steep hills to the right of the hotel. Playa de la Arena is a little further down a less steep hill to the left of the hotel. There is a bus stop opposite where you can get buses to Masca, or Playa de last Americas in the opposite direction. For the most lively entertainment I would recommend Los Gigantes as the others have less going on. You can have the buffet breakfast at the hotel but we walked down into Puerto de Santiago where you can get a lovely breakfast at the sports bar down there for £7.50 which was cheaper than the buffet breakfast. There is no daily cleaning (although I believe you can pay for one) but they do come in with a change of towels mid week. This suited us as we like an undisturbed lie in on holiday. The only thing I would say is that there is no air con, only ceiling fans, but for us that wasn't a problem as we went in March when it was comfortable. I can imagine that would be a bit of a problem in the height of summer as it becomes oppressively hot. I would definitely return here as the location is perfect for enjoying the area to the full.

Cheap and cheerful, everything you need for a week self catered, quite echo-y if people are being loud, decent location for shops and buses, everywhere is very steep but lovely views. Apartments are clean, reception helpful, pool upstairs is very deep and cold but refreshing. Jacuzzi on the terrace as well with lovely views, drinks are reasonably priced similar to most places, would be good if the bar was open until 7 to watch the sunset. Enjoyable stay.

I was here in January for 1 week. The apartments were clean, comfortable, could do with aircon though, the fans were not helpful. Shower was very nice in apartment. Wear ear plugs if you are not deep sleeper though because of people with suitcases outside checking in and out. Noise above you in apartments too. Comfortable beds. Sunbeds need padding on them or you get back ache! Pools both a nice temperature and clean, can’t complain on the pools, nice view from upstairs pool. Area was good if you like quiet which was perfect for me and my kids. The showers you use on your last day up the stairs by the downstairs pool could do with some refurbishing. The sun would be gone from downstairs pool by 4pm because of the building with the showers / gym in which was a shame but you can go upstairs for remainder of sun. Overall not bad. Reception staff were really nice and helpful. Suggestions, some more music around the pools, maybe a downstairs bar to buy drinks or snacks. The area is ok but not a proper beach, adeje is a good beach. Playa de la rena is meant to be nice but we did not go. I hear it is black sand. The thing that lets that hotel down is the two lifeguards. The only one who is professional and kind is the one who was there on a Saturday and Sunday downstairs, he was polite and kind, he would communicate with professionalism and respect. The lifeguard at the upstairs pool is very rude. I am not sure of his name. He talks to people like rubbish if they dive or jump in the pool, he points at them and talks to them like he has anger issues. He spends most of the time looking at his mobile too. The downstairs pool lifeguard is rude too, I cannot be sure of his name but he was there in the week days Monday through to Friday, he gets very angry at children and spends alot of time on his phone too. He spoke to my children like they were dirt because they splashing around and having fun, he complains about children to the cleaners too whilst pointing at the children. Children are supposed to have fun on holidays!!! He also sounds like he might be a pest to females. When I was trying to take a nap, all I could hear next to me were two young women complaining to each other about how this lifeguard makes them feel uncomfortable. One of the women had a husband who was very upset and angry. Those two lifeguards need to be sacked. Apart from that, it was a ok hotel, I wouldn’t return because I do not appreciate my children being spoke to like rubbish by two horrid lifeguards, which is a shame because even though the place isn’t perfect, I would have returned if it wasn’t for this.
