Checkin Bungalows Atlántida Apart-hotel

I stayed here on a group family holiday in July 2025 on a half board basis. Upon arrival the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and we were still on time for an evening meal, unfortunately the food available was mainly fish, so we all had a plate of chips with some side salad, checkin Bungalows was advertised as local and international cuisine... I don't class chips and side salad as international at all. We were also told that we could only have tap water on half board basis. Our rooms were spread out on the top floor but not too far away from each other which was great. Plenty of room inside, good beds, good size shower and some small cooking facilities. Fridge was a bit small with only a tiny freezer compartment that was completely frozen up and not usable at all. Rooms were 30 degrees Celsius so we had to rent a fan as there was no Aircon. My room had a drainage issue with the shower that leaked and backed up, and a foul smell coming from the toilet and basin. The pool times were 10:30am - 6:30pm so I feel like they closed a bit too early. The rooms were clean but only got cleaned once in our 1 week stay so we washed our towels in the sink and hung them on the balcony to dry. On the first full day we tried breakfast which was a little better than the evening meal, it was mainly continental breakfast but there was streaky bacon, eggs, beans and party sausages. After a few days of eating the same foods, we had to eat out as the breakfast and evening meals were the same every time, and too repetitive. Most items contained seafood and the water was giving us upset stomachs. This has put me off hotel food, and in future I will only go self catering. On our last day the checkout time is 12 noon and there was a room to put our luggage until our transfer but it lacked any facilities and wasn't secure.... Overall, it's a nice place in a good location and the staff are very helpful. It's just the food and lack of room maintenance that lets it down. I would only recommend this complex on a self catering basis only, unless you are happy to eat seafood every meal. I would only return here self catering in future.

We came to this hotel in 2019 and it was one of the best holidays we had the hotel accounted for most of this as we spent a lot of time here, great staff friendly atmosphere, great food and really good rooms with lots of space and air conditioning, we returned there for 10 days this July, firstly we were met by a rude receptionist who questioned everything we said in a brash way, she even tried to argue how many people I booked for, the young lad there was very nice though. After this we asked about air-con as it was advertised to which the reply was you have standard rooms, and didn’t state you wanted it. We payed 20 deposit for each fan (we needed 4). one of which didn’t work so my son in law returned it and was extremely rudely spoken to by the same lady. The rooms were swelteringly hot, and the fans didn’t do a thing.The food was average and it’s a bit disappointing that you are only allowed water not even a soft drink on half board as it is only Pepsi and lemonade from a pump machine or a simple juice. The rooms only got cleaned twice and they didn’t clean 2 of the 3 rooms until we asked them too. When we checked out I took the fans back and the same rude receptionist started singing money money money to me in a sarcastic way, I had enough of her to even say something, we were happy with certain aspects of the hotel but some others really disappointed us, the receptionist was probably the worst I have ever dealt with.

Rooms are basic but nice. Spacious enough and with balcony, fridge and hob. Disappointed that there is no air con - this is a let down, especially as it was advertised with air-conditioning. You can buy a fan for a deposit- but its still very hot. We we there a week and the room was cleaned once, again disappointing as towels get dirty fast with beach trips etc. Staff are very polite and helpful and tourist info for excursions were very good. We were half board and food was a big let down - so much so after 3 days we ate out - food on an evening was very basic, very repatative and not great at all. Breakfast was ok. In my opinion, self catering is the way forward with this place. Lots of nice places just over the road & fair priced, we liked charleys bar down the street. Location wise, absolutely excellent! Nice bars and restaurants nearby, not to far walk to beach. Taxi rank at bottom of street and about 10min journey to get to Los amercias if you like a livlier evening, which we did most evenings. Check out was 12 but our flight wasn't till 6, there was a hold for luggage but no where where you could get a quick shower before your transfer - again a little disappointing. If you wanted a shower you'd have to get one near pool. Would I stay again? Probably, because location was fantastic, but I wouldn't pay for the food there. We were in a group of 8 and nobody enjoyed the food.

Just got back from here Left a day early Food is terrible for dinner and breakfast unless you just want chips or plain pasta Entertainment is so boring most night with nothing to really do in the day We moved rooms because kids screaming and jumping in pool at 3am Toilet smells like sewage Found cockroaches in our room Wouldn’t recomment this hotel personally and would never come back to tenirife

The complex as soon as you walk through entrance needs attention flooring at entrance in desperate need of replacing , our room 139 is at the top of large complex up 2 ramps 4 flights of stairs (58 steps) the only Bungalow we have stayed in that is up 4 flights of stairs . Room was VERY tired needs a good clean and renovation, bed and sofa bed very uncomfortable and obviously years old . Tiles need lifted and redone also walls , doors etc need a good clean . Bathroom was ok but shower dirty , shower needs a good steam clean to get rid of white scum over bathroom . Would have moved but only there for 5 nights . Worst apartments we have stayed in anywhere let alone Tenerife !!!
