Hotel Don Javier

Disappointed with the food at the Don Javier restaurant.
Ordered asparagus omelette and it was so woody it was uneatable, like eating twigs. The waiter's didn't ask what was wrong with it either as I left it. Don't recommend it to anyone.

Restaurant is just a complete waste of money. Spag bol was heinz with som meat added also cold. All our food was bland with poor ingredients. We left more that we ate.

We were in need of a quick meal for our hungry kids and decided this restaurant would be ok based on its 3.7 rating. However, it was a mistake not to read the reviews first.

This place doesn't live up to the warm hospitality and tasty cuisine we expected from Spanish dining.
The food was terrible, and the service was poor. The staff raised their voices at my mother when she asked to repeat something she misheard, they rolled their eyes at my wife's questions, and discouraged us from ordering paella due to a 40-minute wait, pushing us towards the "meal of the day" instead.

We reluctantly ordered the meal of the day to speed things up. After waiting for 30 minutes, I had to speak to the waiter about our delayed service compared to other tables and the promise of a quick meal with the meal of the day.

Eventually we were served after a 40-minute wait, with plates almost landing on us as the waiters rushed around. The dishes we received were very poor, disappointing cafeteria food—frozen, bland, and accompanied by frozen vegetables. Nothing that justifies 40min wait…

I rarely leave reviews, I hope this one helps other travelers and tourists. Despite its convenient location, this restaurant relies on its busy street front rather than providing quality service or food.

I suggest walking past the bridge and exploring the charming streets of the old city, where much better dining options await.

The best thing I can say about this alleged restaurant if that they did not demand that we pay for the poorly reheated bizarre 'stuffed peppers with fish' or the mancilla that came with stale fries.

We stopped at this restaurant on our day trip to Ronda. Extremely slow service. Almost 1h wait time to the first dish. Food not that great. Extremely salty. We had Ronda Tripes and grilled fish. For dessert, they run out of what we ordered so we settled for a substitute.

Possibly the worst restaurant we ate at during our two week road trip across Spain. I firmly believe the waiter was trying his best to mix up our orders.
The food was bland for thr most part and the fish in one of our plates was well past it's expiration date.
Do yourself a favor a avoid this conveniently located hell hole.

Ordered the “home made” pizza wich was bought from supermarket and had mold on it, sphagetti bolognese had some orange “tomato” sauce, didn’t even taste like tomato sauce.
