This is an oasis of luxury in a magnificent city of architecture and history. The old monastery has been beautifully converted to a beautiful hotel without sacrificing any of its heritage. Probably because of having checked in online, the gentleman from the reception immediately came out to the car, verifying my name, helping with baggage and parking the car afterwards. Its central, clean and cold which helps when its 37 degrees outside. The breakfast is in room because of the C word so better go to the streets to enjoy Spain early in the morning for tostada and coffee.

Hotel room is spacious. Bathroom has a shower body massage , perfect to relax muscles after long drive. Food is also very good. Steaks are served big. Menu for the day is also good.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Hotel Rector for three nights. The accommodation is excellent and the staff are exceptional. The breakfast was very good and the dining recommendations could not have been bettered. The location is ideal for visiting this wonderful city. Lovely setting looking over the river towards the city, which is only a 15min walk straight into the centre. Good rooms and all clean and tidy as you would expect from a parador.

Hotel is very good and clean, however the caffetera snd restruante leave slot to be desired. Menu for caffetera was very poor. I have stayed in 2 star hotels who's caffetera and restruante far outshines anythin that is on offer here. The proof is that in our time here we only saw 1other gentleman use the caffetera and 1 couple who ate in the restraunte. Says it all!!!

This hotel is fine. The views are good but the carpet is worn and dirty, bathroom doors are warped and the bedding is not four-star bedding. If you’re used to staying in nice hotels, this is not even close to 4.4 stars. I would give it 2 1/2 compared to what I think is a 5-star hotel.

Love love love the bathroom! Comes with a separate bathtub and shower area, and very spacious. Gets toasty warm with the heater on. The beds were soft and pillows interestingly very long. I wished the lights were brighter and that there were some overhead lights instead of just lamps because it's quite dark.

Thinking it's close to the road, you don't hear anything about the roundabout. I liked that they have three pillows to choose from to suit everyone. Friendly and competent staff. I recommend it.

This hotel used to be a kastil or palace but transformed into a hotel. Located in the center of Salamanca city. It is very close to Universidad de Salamanca and the centre of UN heritage Salamanca Katedral. You can find many restaurant and shopping place to buy souvenir from this city.

However we were very disappointed on several things. Our room was decent size but with the angled roof line it cut walking area down. We had no windows. I stayed here for a week. This is a lovely place to see Salamanca city and historical place. Right in front of the Ieronimus catedral and very close to Universidad of Salamanca. It's great place to stay. You can reach every part of the city centre only by walking from this hotel for around 15-30 minutes to every direction. Enjoy Salamanca.
