We stayed three nights at Hotel San Lorenzo in Santiago de Compostela after completing our caminho. The hotel is located about 10-12 minutes away from the center of town and the Cathedral which is preferable. It's located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. The hotel has a restaurant and we had dinner one evening. It was okay. The rooms are clean and the bathroom was large and well maintained. I would recommend this hotel.

The location is great, not far from the city center but not too close either: it was very quiet at night! The staff was lovely, they all spoke great english and italian too!

It seems the hotel needs a serious overhaul. When I checked in: No warm water. The morning that I checked out: No warm water again, with no indication at all if and when it will ever be repaired. The technician apparently was looking for some replacement materials. Rather than patching the old junk, it might as well been better to make some investment in upgrading the facilities. The hotel presents itself as a three star hotel, but that seems rather over-enthousuastic when looking at the quality of the utilities. Just my two cents

Hotel clean and well appointed, room size was good. Breakfast a bit weak but adequate.

What a piece of junk this hotel is.
The receptionists were great but then things go downhill from that point on.
Then I want to use the bathroom in the lobby but it is under service. It is cordoned for but no one is working there for hours. And when it is working, it is only for 1 person at a time. There is no urinal.
They gave me room 115. I walked in and felt the floor buckle. There is a bubble and not even.
Then the wifi doesn’t work.
Then the shower head fixer is loose and water is spraying all over the place.
The door slams shut and you can hear door slamming at any time.
The hotel is a bit far from central.
The breakfast has ham and cheese so it is quite adequate.
For what I got , it can’t charge anyone more than 30 Euros a night because of the above. The most annoying is the WiFi. When I told the receptionist, he said it is working now which is bull_S _ _ _. It never worked and if when it did, it worked sporadically.
I would say don’t stay there , unless the only other option is sleep on a park bench. What a way to end my Camino. A pension in Pedrouzo which cost much less but a magnitude better in service.

It's very affordable and well located. I recommend it. It's close to a mall, bus stations and the terminal
