The hotel is in a great location. The building and room size are good but the quality of the bed, pillows and duvets was poor so I could not sleep well. The gym is pretty bad. The breakfast was not worth it, the products they offered were mainly sugary ultra processed food and bad quality cheese, and dry meat. The coffee was bad too.
I enjoyed my stay here. It’s close to the town center. I’m surprised about some of the reviews about the staff. I found them to be exceptionally kind and helpful. I’d stay again 100%.
We had a wonderful stay at Compostela Hotel! It is very well located, everyone there was so friendly/welcoming/helpful, and the rooms were very nice. I would definitely stay again and recommend. Thanks again for a lovely time in Santiago de Compostela!
This is an excellent hotel near restaurants and the Cathedral. The front desk will find ways to help with anything. Nice breakfast.
I highly recommend this hotel in Santiago de Compostela.
First of all, I must thanks to JULIO, from the receptionist area, who took the time to help us with our journey from Santiago to Sevilla. Excellent customer service support.
The hotel is colonial, clean, the rooms and the bathrooms are spacious and a very good breakfast.
Thank you Julio for all your help.

Excellent stay. Clean and modern room and bathroom, 5 minute walk from the old town, next to a supermarket and tons of cafes, airport bus stop 1 block away, quiet neighbourhood, friendly and accommodating staff. Couldn't have asked for more. I will stay here again whenever I come back to Santiago.
Nice, new clean modern style hotel. Professional, friendly reception team who speak good English.Bed nice & comfy with good bathroom & shower. Quiet so sleep is no problem. Good breakfast & dinner buffet style with courteous & attentive waiting staff. Good choice too for pilgrims celebrating finishing their Camiño who need a nice relaxing evening.
Very convenient place for short visits. Hotel is clean and good locking. Staff members are friendly. However walls between the rooms are very thin, so you can easily hear other people.
Tranquil setting, spacious accommodation, proximity to the cathedral, wonderful meals. Thanks. Gerard Balinnya

Lovely modern spacious hotel. Triple room had 2 small double beds & 1 single bed. Very comfortable. Toiletries included travel toothbrushes. We arrived after midnight but this was no problem as reception is open 24hours. Lovely treats awaited us in our room. 2 bottles of water were in fridge. Receptionist was very friendly & welcoming. Breakfast had good variety. For check out we only needed to return...
The hotel is beautiful but the services at the dining room is very on professional they are rude Juan Pedruoso is a very rude person no respet once so ever and sarcastic
Decent hotel room, but there are some issues with the HVAC and there is nothing around it, so either be prepared for some walking
Staff was very helpful and attentive, both on reception and breakfast. Room very big for a family of 2 adults and 2 small kids, very clean. Breakfast has many options for both adults and kids. OK to stay if you have car. Will repeat when visiting Santiago de Compostela.
Acutally the rooms are much nicer than anticipated by looking at the building. This is an overall good hotel.
Very clean, friendly and helpfull staff, and located at a strategic place were you are close enough to the center of Santiago and far away enough to be relaxed and self park, etc.

A fantastic hotel that instantly reminded me of the elegant decor from the movie Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. The blend of classic charm with modern touches creates a unique atmosphere. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and everything is spotlessly clean. The central location is perfect—you can reach the cathedral and the university hospital in just a few minutes. I would definitely...
Generally, a good place to stay, however, it has some drawbacks: (1) it is very noisy - both outdoors and indoors (poor soundproofing!); (2) the prices for the "minibar" are terribly high -worst thing is you don't know the price until you check out :-(. Other than that, it is great in terms of cleanliness, service, and a breakfast!
Friendly check in, the view from the glass Lift/Elevator was impressive with indoor garden. Room was nice and clean, the mini bar. The was a nice international TV channel selection. Breakfast staff was very friendly too, they were happy and escorted us to our table of choice. Many selection of Spanish cheeses, that made my day! I would definitely return!
Great hotel next to Santiago City centre. Rooms are old-fashion decorated but very classy (wood all around). Two things to Super recommend :
Room service food is really amazing! Ordered several tapas and the food quality was surprisingly great!
Second thing is the attention to detail... We asked for a room for two people and a baby, and the staff left the room prepared, with a crib set next to our...
A 25 minute walk or 5 Euro taxi ride to the cathedral.
A good hotel with the rooms built around a central atrium with waterfall and hanging gardens.
The glass lift was fun and not at all scary.
Nice room with a double bed and a good sized bathroom with bath and shower over.
The reception staff are friendly, even when doing check-in at 11:45pm.
The room was a bit cold to start with, but the heating...

Great option to stay in Santiago de Compestela. The hotel is full of lush green gardens and it smells amazing. They are pet friendly. It is a drive into town, but a great option to walk around in nature, maybe walk down to the river after breakfast. Very peaceful and beautiful hotel.
Room was lovely, clean and fairly spacious. The front desk, servers, and bar staff were all wonderful but the woman running the spa was INCREDIBLY rude. She was absent from the desk for 15 minutes but there was no sign telling us what to do so we walked around a bit to look around and when she came back down she angrily told us that we should have waited instead of apologising for not being there...
Not just a Michelin star hotel , it’s worth more than that ! The immaculate hotel has left the best impression through out this entire trip. I would recommend anyone finishing Camino to come here for a few days to just enjoy the room and the spa . Totally amazing !! If is good enough for spainish King , it’s all good :) this is a rare hotel indeed .
Simply wonderful and unique. Best possible place to spend our 10y anniversary. Wish we could've stayed longer but could only offload the kids for a night. The youngest will leave home in 15 years and this hotel will be first on the list to revisit.
so much more than a hotel, this is on a different level. Lovely grounds and setting. Wonderfully decorated interior and the reception staff are so good, nothing is too much trouble for them
I felt like I was treated like a king. Lucky me, I had the Spa to myself for about an hour - what a treat!
I slept so well in this beautiful bedroom.
My only sadness is that the hotel is not within easy walking...

I really loved this hotel. Easily the best hotel - by far - from the six we stayed in on vacation. Loved the rooms, sizes, beds, decor, solid wood, decorative granite and marble finishes throughout the hotel. Three lobby was beautiful as were the grounds, especially the chapel on the grounds.
The hotel Los Abetos is a 4 star hotel with the service of a full 5 stars. It is situated in an elevated area which makes it the best hotel in town for the favorable views. Its dedication from the employees is great and everyone is treating you well and fair. My family loved it so much we extended the visit 3 extra days. Stayed here for two nights at the end of December. Absolutely beautiful building and so much attention been given to maintaining the character of the building and furniture.
You can stroll around the numerous beautiful courtyards and appreciate this amazing old building.
A few things missing in my opinion for a five star hotel - bathrobes, a modern hairdryer, a coffee machine.
There were only standard...
The hotel, service and restaurant was exceptional.
Our friends got quiet rooms on the other side of the hotel. While our room was lovely it was extremely noisy. I think it overlooked an alley or bar. Lots of noise and it seemed they were throwing out cans at about 5-6 am. We couldn’t change rooms since our tours started very early each day. I would stay there again if we had a room on the quiet...
Wow! It's hard sometimes describing excellence, this place is nothing but amazing in every way. You can walk to every corner of this Hotel and feel the luxury and spiritual power of this museum, it will leave you Breathless. Two great restaurants on the premises and excellent service.
This is an amazing place and is in the heart of the action! Brilliant staff who work hard in maintaining a high quality guest service! Creating a sense of calm in what appears to be a chaotic environment isn’t easy but here they have achieved it. If I was going to give a negative comment it would be aimed at the provision of food. Breakfast was brilliant on one day and rather like the Titanic the next...
The place to stay in Santiago...it's a truly amazing hotel. A wonderfully restored and magnificent building, once a hospital for those recovering after the Camino ..long long ago. It is a very special place and there is a perfect view of the cathedral from the breakfast room. Such a great way to start the day.😀
Location and staff were amazing. However I had no water pressure from the above shower head which was something I was looking into. Breakfast buffet is worth it I think and the location worth a lot more. Rooms are clean and spacious :)

I loved the hotel. We booked a double room for one night and enough to say I would come back again. Super clean, newly renovated, excellent location. We chose this hotel just because it was closed to Decathlon. The hotel was good if the price is under 120 euro. The meal was decent at the restaurant but there is no drinking water available in the room. The taxi to the airport is 26 euro. A bit expensive. The shower water pressure is a bit weak. The bed is comfortable.
Bed bugs found, nothing special about the hotel and for a 4* Hotel no welcoming drinks, price for a water 3,50€! Breakfast as usual, nothing special about it.
Almost everything. Great location if you have a car. Lots of supermarkets and restaurants within 5 km.
Its a good location with free parking. The hotel room is very nice and the breakfast too. The only thing that was less are the double beds because they kept moving
4 star comforts with no problems. Everything. Superb breakfast, everything you could want offered. I was also a good location for the city as it was a little outside but you had free parking. The room was very comfortable, great big TV and even some English language stations as a bonus. Bathroom spacious, clean and warm. 10 mins in car to Parking Galicia car park. Perfect.
There is no public transport...

Excellent hotel on the edge of Old Town, with paid parking garage and decent gym for a hotel. Many restaurants in the immediate area
This is advertised as 5 star hotel. It is not. There were no basic coffee/tea making facility in the room & only a basic shower over bath in the bathroom. Hairdrier did not work in our room and took a long time to get fixed. It has a beautiful foyer & a nice pool area (pool is uniformly deep however) & the service was generally very good. Location is pretty close to the Old Town.
Beautiful, comfortable hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed here in 2012 after walking the Camino. It was great then and is still great.
Booked this cause after the Camino I wanted a hotel with a swimming pool. Photo of the pool is below. Otherwise a perfectly pleasant stay.
Loved this hotel's location. We were in walking distance to great restaurants, nightlife, and the cathedral. It was also one of the only hotels in the area with parking, which was very important to us. Would definitely stay again.
Old and worn hotel frankly not worth the 5-star rating. Bathroom smelled. Front seat friendly but not very communicative. For example they recommended restaurants and called to make reservations but didn’t bother to tell us that the restaurant was closed! We ended up scrambling at the last minute.
