Santiago de Compostela, San Lázaro 🧭 Map
We stayed in a villa which was spacious but dark. It also wasn’t super clean (cobwebs everywhere) and the service left much to be desired. I would say it’s good for a 3 star hotel as far as service and amenities, but not a 4 star.
The hotel is generally good, well-kept territory, interesting landscape, nice garden, good restaurant, convenient bus from the hotel to the city center. The huge minus of the room (room "Villa") is the strongest smell of dampness and old furniture on the first floor of the room, which was impossible to air out even with the balcony and windows constantly open. All things, absolutely everything smelled...
We stayed in the Hotel for 3 nights at the end of our Camino dos Faro. It is a really nice hotel complex with a beautiful garden. As a room we had a villa, which was quite nice, but sadly extremely dark without any real natural light. The bed on the other hand was extremely comfortable. Before our arrival we also let the reception that one of us can't eat egg products or lactose, and we were told that...
Nice decor, good breakfast, lovely pool, and friendly restaurant staff.
However, the rooms weren’t as spacious as advertised — the 65 m² for the family villa likely includes the parking space.
The sofa bed was uncomfortable, breakfast was quite expensive, and the blonde lady at reception was not friendly.
Overall, a nice stay but expected more for the price.
Spacious rooms, luxury bathrooms, staff very professional. Nice garden and pool area. Easy to get into the city with the hotel shuttle or a short taxi ride, There are also some walking trails that pass by the hotel from the mount gozo park, including the last section of the Camino
Good breakfast, nice staff but relatively loud due to the proximity to the airport. The staffs attention on guests could have been better when it comes to removing used plates and cuttlery from the table or serving drinks.

Great hotel in the quiet are close to the city centre and near the great park. Great reception area
Highly recommended hotel for a weekend in Santiago, 15 minutes walk from the cathedral. We will be back!
Very friendly and clean
Great bed
Spa area could be improved, however
Steam sauna doesn't work and you have to switch everything on yourself first
Sometimes good prices on offer, so good value for money.
My husband and I had a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived. Andrea at reception welcomed us warmly, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere. He was exceptionally professional, taking the time to explain all of the hotel's amenities and ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Our room was spacious and very comfortable, providing everything we could want for a relaxing...
I was there for five nights and my daughter three we were both exhausted after walking every day my daughter managed 490 miles and we booked in with you to relax. The staff were amazing as was the hotel, but were disappointed with the restaurant as it only had three mains and my daughter is a vegetarian so no option what’s so ever. We had room service as it had more choices, But after three nights...
In desperate need of a deep clean and renovation. This is by no means a top class hotel at best it warrants three Stars. Pool side and changing rooms are very dirty. The restaurant has three main courses available, beef, chicken and fish, meaning if you are staying three days you will experience all three unless like me you don't want any of them. They have a comprehensive room service offering which...

The hotel room is spacious and warm, the bedding is comfortable, the faucet in the bathroom has plenty of water, and the bathroom is large with four faucets, which can accommodate two people to take a bath at the same time! The breakfast is rich and the coffee is very good! It's a pity that the facade was under repair when I went there, so I couldn't take pictures of the beautiful scenery.
The hotel is very big, like a maze. The service is good, but don't rush the waiter during breakfast, hahahaha
Great location, great service, complete facilities, very worthwhile experience
This hotel is a gem. The location, the friendly staff, the room, the historical added bonus of staying in this place. We loved here. My bed was incredible. Overall it was a remarkable staying. I want to thank the hotel staff for helping us. We had many suitcases and wheelchair. The helped us since the moment we arrived to the hotel. The food from the restaurant is outstanding and there are many choices...
Stayed here for two nights at the end of December. Absolutely beautiful building and so much attention been given to maintaining the character of the building and furniture.
You can stroll around the numerous beautiful courtyards and appreciate this amazing old building.
A few things missing in my opinion for a five star hotel - bathrobes, a modern hairdryer, a coffee machine.

Nice room on the top floor. Excellent service at reception and close to the city center.
Good location, friendly and helpful staff, average breakfast. The room was small, but fully sufficient. One thing to improve would be a missing plug close to the desk.
This is the seventh hotel I have used on this trip and it is far and away the best AND the cheapest! Very comfortable room with a view over the town to the eastern hills. Super bathroom. Had my own balcony to sit in the sun and could watch the sunrise from my bed. Maybe 10 minutes walk ftom the station, and 15 from the cathedral. Highly recommended.
Good location for stay there. Easy to get around. My friends and I like to travel.
The location was good, close to the station and tourist attractions. Breakfast was delicious, although there weren't many vegetables. There was a refrigerator, shampoo, body soap, hand soap, and a hair dryer, which was appreciated.
You have to get the bathtub plug from the counter, at least they will bring it to your room which is nice. But the part I am not satisfied with is the elevator. Can’t they find a solution? It's scary when it shakes and makes strange noises!

Liked the cleanliness of the hotel. Also liked the breakfast selections. Wished the hotel had more dining areas throughout the day and or room service.
We just stayed for one night as it was close to the airport
The room is OK, the breakfast is rich
The location is a bit far, 4 km from the cathedral, but parking is convenient, the room is large, neat and clean, the breakfast is good, and the dinner is also very well cooked.
Terrific staffer (manager maybe) checked us in and upgraded us to a beautiful 10th floor room.Very much appreciated on a crummy rainy day.
Lovely modern spacious hotel. Triple room had 2 small double beds & 1 single bed. Very comfortable. Toiletries included travel toothbrushes. We arrived after midnight but this was no problem as reception is open 24hours. Lovely treats awaited us in our room. 2 bottles of water were in fridge. Receptionist was very friendly & welcoming. Overall great hotel!
The common areas are clean and modern, and the staff is very helpful and polite!
The breakfast buffet is good, nothing exceptional but great when you don't want to leave the hotel.
The rooms are good, spacious. The walls are a bit thin, we could hear chatter from the neighbours. It wasn't an issue for us but its something to keep in mind.
Lastly, the safe inside the room was...
I loved the hotel. We booked a double room for one night and enough to say I would come back again. Super clean, newly renovated, excellent location. The bathroom had two sinks which we found super handy however the only tiny fault I would say is the shower. It was an open shower with a big glass as a shower screen and the level of the shower was slightly higher than the floor so water can still spill...
The hotel is located walk distance from the Cathedral and others historic sites.
It is close to the rail station as well and 20 minutes from airport.

The Historic Setting of this hotel, situated in the heart of Santiago de Compostela's historic center, it is within walking distance of the Cathedral and other attractions. A former monk's refectory, for banquets and meals, serves us excellent breakfast and dinner! The best! Great parking lot for free. I highly recommend this hotel !
The hotel still functions as a spiritual house with 8 friars still living onsite. It is a gentle spacious. Grand hotel and our room was both spacious and elegant. Modern hotel with olde world touches in the rooms. Lovely fountain and open plan vista on the inside all floors can be seen from the ground floor and downwards from the top level (breakfast room) with an array of real plants hanging down from each level.
Not a 4 star hotel, first is has mold in the bathroom as seen in the photos. In desperate need of updating.
I do need to say the staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly.
This is what is missing for me for 4 star rating: face/hand towels in the shower, coffee maker, bathrobes, slippers, water to drink, extra pillows, shoehorn, ironing board. While I was able to ask for and receive pillows...
Lines to check in. Rooms were clean, beds good and AC works really good. Guy at the bar super cool.
This hotel is not small in this town. The location is quite convenient, and you can walk to the center. It happened to be a major power outage in Spain, so the hotel provided us with instant noodles.
A nice reception and friendly helpful staff.
The room was a reasonable size with a king-size bed, but the mattress was hard.
Parking available below the hotel is 12 € per day.

Excellent hotel on the edge of Old Town, with paid parking garage and decent gym for a hotel. Many restaurants in the immediate area
Great location, service and quality. Breakfast is an amazing buffet for €16
This is advertised as 5 star hotel. It is not. There were no basic coffee/tea making facility in the room & only a basic shower over bath in the bathroom. Hairdrier did not work in our room and took a long time to get fixed. It has a beautiful foyer & a nice pool area (pool is uniformly deep however) & the service was generally very good. Location is pretty close to the Old Town.

While largish chain hotels are not usually our thing, this hotel does well.Junior Suite for 2 nights, very comfortable. Cathedral view, great for the fireworks on St James' Eve. Not too difficult to drive to, with good parking, and only 10 minutes walk (approx) to Cathedral.

Lovely service at the front desk - they gave us a map and showed us the sights on it, recommended restaurants, and were wonderful when I lost something important in the room. Nice comfortable rooms and just steps from the old town. Also highly recommend a post-Camino massage from Iria!

Great experience check in was fast and stress free which was great especially after finishing the El Camino de Santiago. The reception was very pleasant. They gave us complete and specific information. The double room for our two girls was very adequate and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was small but varied. The Santiago cake was wonderful....

Somewhat small room with a renovated but small bathroom. Acceptable cleanliness. The buffet breakfast was rich but lacking in variety.
