The staff was very helpful and friendly. They spoke our language even though we were in their country. We enjoyed our room and the close walk to the beach. Spain is a wonderful place to be!

The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are perfect and very modern. There is literally a place for everything. Beds very comfortable and a lovely terrace. Plenty of towels and the breakfast was excellent. We are vegan but there was enough to choose from. We would highly recommend this hotel and staff are so helpful.

Fantastic. A very nice hotel with a good location in Nerja. Walking distance to the old parts of the city and down to the sea. Very fresh rooms, comfortable beds and quiet surroundings. The hotel also has its own indoor parking. Very nice and service-oriented staff. We highly recommend this hotel

This property is beautifully located right on the beach. It is however a much older clientele. We felt out of place as two younger travelers. I would choose an airbnb that is near the city center if you are younger. The people that were enjoying the property looked very happy and the place is spotless!

This is our 2nd time here and already talking about booking for next year. Lovely staff, great location and fabulous clean rooms. Our only problem was the air conditioning didn't seem to be working. Exceptionally clean and fantastic location! Only issue I had was with the constant humming from the electric box in the room. It was very loud. I got ear plugs on the 1st day but even with them, I could still hear the noise. Street noise was there also.

Nice hotel basic but the rooms are very clean with comfortable beds!

No lift and only 10 rooms, so you need to be fit if you are on the upper floors. Also cold inside the rooms, need to put the heating on, although in the high summer it will be a welcome relief from the heat.

Location of hotel on beach was good but the hotel entrance to access the beach was not open until 10am each day - far too late. Marketed as a private beach but it is not - non hotel guests able to gain access well before 10am. Change of beach towels only allowed between 10am -noon. I like Hostal Marissal and have been booking this place for the past 2 years, as staff are kind and helpful, checking in is easy, place is clean, always accessible with the elevator. In the middle of balcon de europa, so everything is convenient.

Check-in online disaster On line check in a disaster and many guests hah difficulty and gave up. There should be a person present to allow people of all ages to check in outside the two hours from 2pm to 4 pm. The on-line app was over complicated and not fit for purpose. It will. stop people from booking the hostel again

Great location for sight seeing, can be a little noisy in the mornings. Rooms basic but nice and clean. Time of year no receptionist so checking in a little frustrating. Buffet breakfast adequate if you get up before it runs out. Most staff very nice and helpful

The location is perfect, just 2mins from the main restaurant area but very quiet. We really liked everything about the hotel however the aircon in the room didn’t work & it was so warm, if we were there mid summer it would have been way too hot. This hotel does not have a front desk, and there are usually no service staff. We rely on WhatsApp to contact us, which is not very convenient. In addition, the room hygiene, breakfast and so on, the starting price is right. If you're just passing by and sleeping one night, that's fine.
