The AC Hotel Palacio Universal, built in the latter part of the nineteenth century and located in the heart of the city, was the meeting point of the bourgeois and intellectual and political elite at the time. It is located in the best area of Vigo, in front of the Marina, near the historical town and not far from the beach and exhibition center. Our Vigo hotel offers minibar, fully equipped bathroom, special amenities in each guest room, AC Lounge, with temporary limited schedule, fitness center, and Turkish Bath. Free WiFi access throughout the hotel so that guests can connect to the internet whenever they want.

Excellent location and Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. If you have the right room you will have a view of the port and estuary. Cruise ships might block the view, but they usually sail away after a few hours. Estefania at the hotel front desk was super nice. With few good recommendations.
The location is next to the older part of town as well as being adjacent to the historical center, which has grand buildings and attractive parks,

The hotel offers a wonderful location, cosy rooms and fantastic staff. We went there with our company and it the team enjoyed a lot how central the hotel is. They also helped with reservation of good restaurants.

Absolutely basic hotel. No attempt at any service and great lengths have to be undertaken to find someone (for example we needed an iron). No room service available except on weekend evenings. Service level not at the bare minimum for the price in my opinion

Of all the hotels we have stayed in our trip to Portugal and Spain, I must say this was the top in customer service. We were greeted by Estefania with a big smile and her willingness to give us all the information we needed. She is very professional and always making sure that we were enjoying our stay.

I stayed here during my visit to Vigo, August of 2019. Due to YouTube's algorithm, I was suddenly being fed walking tours of Vigo. This let me reminisce about my visit. Some of the videos showed holiday celebrations in the city, including wonderful lighting displays and a Christmas Marketplace. All within a short walk from the AC Hotel.

I'm looking forward to when I can return to Vigo, whatever the season.

Good hotel
Lovely hotel in the centre of Vigo. Unfortunately the door to the balcony leaked due to the torrential rain we experienced one night.
The bar was not open during our 3 night stay.


Vigo is very, very hilly.
