Pazo Los Escudos Hotel And Spa Resort in Vigo

Hotel Pazo de los Escudos has many strong points: the staff are lovely, the grounds are beautiful, and the rooms are very comfortable. Free parking is a real bonus, especially these days, and it makes a great base to explore Galicia.

That said, a few details kept it from feeling truly five-star. The bar area, with its white marble, felt a bit too clinical and unwelcoming, and its terrace sits in the shade in the evening — which means even in September it quickly gets chilly. In the restaurant, the food itself was very nice, but it was served on cold plates so it didn’t stay warm for long, and the background radio playing chart hits didn’t really match the atmosphere you’d expect from a 5-star dining experience. Massages in the Spa were decent. We had asked well in advance for a double bed and still ended up with two singles.

Overall, it’s a good hotel with excellent staff and facilities, but it didn’t quite deliver that warm, luxurious “home away from home” feel you’d expect at this level.

Room was spacious and clean, bed and pillows super comfortable, bathroom large with both shower and tube and all the amenities provided. We just missed a chair or an armchair/sofa to be given 5 stars.

This place is a gorgeous restoration of a "Galician pazo" (a rural residence of the nobles in the Galician region). The main entrance depicts many armory shields (escudos, as the name of the place), 101 of them according to the details i found.

The hotel counts with rooms, restaurants, event rooms, a pool and many green areas and gardens. Also the views to the ria are beautiful.

A lovely, comfortable hotel which exceeded the expectations we had based on the online presentation. Our third (top) floor sea view room with balcony was delightful with views across the ocean to the hills opposite. Extremely quiet and peaceful (hardly any other guests on our floor, was June out of season?). Service generally good, though we made little claim on them. The local town-side not especially attractive but beautiful soft white sand beaches. Plenty of sea-side walking immediately available. Free parking below with lift straight up to room.

Wonderful location double strikes being combined with high grade customer service and thought out organization of the business.
The guest service is great: valet parking service, smart team in guest service and reception. A combination of old and new buildings allows to use both structures in comfort for living, bar, restaurant, etc. a direct access to the coast gives incredible view and chances to hear the sea when you want, ability to use hotel bicycle rent or explore the area by foot

Great location and amazing views from the ocean view rooms. Highly recommend the upgrade for the views.

This is a beautiful property with excellent staff and
m magnificent views of the Vigo Estuary. This is a peaceful location, out of the hustle and bustle, but very convenient to Vigo and is a good base for Bodegas tours and other tourist locations. The value is very good.

Best Sunday brunch buffet in Vigo!! Just an outstanding experience. Very elegant and quiet. The food is done to very high standards. Our third time here and it was once again fantastic

The hotel and gardens are stunning. There is access to a small beach outside of the resort. The pool area is nice and quiet and serviced by a small bar. The Spa is nice and has indoor therapy pools, but this an additional €25 for one hour even when you are a resident of the hotel. We did book a massage which was very good
