Always a pleasure to arrive at Hetan Kota. Great location and we really love the ice hole.

Good location to watch northern light. Far from light pollution. The place is closed to frozen lake in winter. You can walk down and enjoy with photo taking.

Hetan Kota is not only a great place to stay, but also a wonderful place for groups staying in other local hotels to go and have some fun with the traditional Finnish ice-hole swimming / sauna concept. They have a great little sauna with adjacent changing / chatting room with fireplace which can be hired out just beside the lake. Our guides love to go there to blow off some arctic steam and to relax in true arctic fashion.
