Good place to stay, great food We stayed in an apartment across the street from the hotel. A little dated, but lots of space. A large kitchen, two bedrooms and a private sauna. We stayed here with Tui in December and absolutely loved it. Yes it’s mostly a trip to take your young ones to see Santa but as an only adult couple, I adored it! We had the best time at Hotel Hetta, staying in 2 of their bungalows. The bungalows are basic, clean and have everything you need. They are spacious, have areas for drying suits and boots. Lots of kitchen amenities, with a large fridge freezer and plenty of cupboard space. We were able to enjoy the dinning table to play games and perfect for a quick pasta or noodles to give the kids energy for sledding...

A great stay We stayed in a very dated apartment (I believe they are in the process of renovating), but it was large and mostly clean. It had a kitchen and a sauna. The hotel has a restaurant with a view of a lake. The food quality was great! There was also a pool, but we never tried it.

Good hotel for transit. No cooked options at breakfast and poor selection of toppings. The rooms we had were newly refurbished and pleasant. Like the hotel and have stayed here several times. Pleasant operation.

Spent two nights here with my 8 year old daughter during the last week before Christmas - the rooms and service were very good indeed, considering it's pitch black most of the day, -20 and thick with snow it was surprising how cheerful everyone was. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and the food,although, not 5 star,is excellent for keeping out the cold, which believe me you will need....

This is a very charming place to stay. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Buffet breakfast has good variety and the food that should be warm is warm. I would stay again.

Good location to watch northern light. Far from light pollution. The place is closed to frozen lake in winter. You can walk down and enjoy with photo taking.

Hetan Kota is not only a great place to stay, but also a wonderful place for groups staying in other local hotels to go and have some fun with the traditional Finnish ice-hole swimming / sauna concept. They have a great little sauna with adjacent changing / chatting room with fireplace which can be hired out just beside the lake. Our guides love to go there to blow off some arctic steam and to relax...

Beautiful place and excellent customer service.

Beautiful location, everything nice and clean. Lots of services. Hovever, very close to the swamp, so be prepared for lots of mosquitos. Also washing costs 10 Eur, which is too much in my opinion.

Cozy guesthouses with almost luxury equipment (comfortable although bit narrow beds, clean and tidy apartments with TV, power plugin, sauna available through pre-reservation etc) at in the middle of nowhere. In the reception there is minor shop and cafeteria, where you can buy food etc. This place is truly hidden treasure and with better marketing it would probably flourish even more, but would then...

Friendly and helpful staff. Check in available till 21. There's some essentials available to purchase at the cafeteria from 9-21. The price is a bit high considering this place is a bit far way. They have breakfast and lunch option but sometimes you need to let them know beforehand if you want the breakfast. The places are pretty good for the money you are paying. They provide fresh linens as well
