At the old building site the rooms are cozy, tastefully decorated. View to the lake. Minibar, coffee machine included, the bath is clear. But the shampoo cartridge was empty 😂. The bad is comfortable.
We were only in sauna and pool section. Reasonable price, pleseant atmosphere. But it were no avalaible towels and inside the sauna was no possibility to record time.
Friendly, helpful employees
Clean rooms. I wish I could have had a room on the front side...they were not helpful with that....I think they did!!
Excellent room with a view to the lake. Breakfast is quite delicious, you get to make your own waffle as well! Don't forget to visit the spa ☺
Very good butique hotel in city centre. Old and new buildings. Nice little spa and gym. Ala carte restaurant. There is a hidden gem, old spring. Worth trying!
Lovely hotel and great staff, especially Sanna at reception who has been very helpful, highly recommended!

Good one-night stay we had here. Friendly personnel, fair room, good breakfast buffet... they even serve an ice-cream in it. Also great "Hemingway's bar" downstairs where we had a nice rest after the flight to LPP. Nothing to complain about except the price which is a bit high...
I don't know how to contact the stuff of the hotel to say I left a charger for iPhone in room 208 and Would like to take it on my way back from Tampere on january 8th.
Rested one day, very much. In the room settled ahead of time, the staff is friendly, a swimming pool and sauna, Internet in every room (not just at the reception), location was Central.
The room we had was simple but good.
The hotel at C grade, but with a plus. C grade is the ratio of price and quality. The price is high and the number hi of the 80s. Plus it's the attitude of the staff and the restaurant. By the way the staff in Russian hardly spoke, and on the Booking. Som information is deceptive

Awesome hotel. Central location, 10 min walk from train station, and embedded in the IsoKristina mall, so plenty of restaurants and bars walkable without winter attire. Lakefront close by. Bus lines close by. Note hotel has gym and sauna but gym lacks a treadmill (walk 5 mins to Lehmus OY for full gym at 5 euro a good deal).
I stayed at this hotel during a business trip to Lappeenranta. It was a nice and cozy hotel with a modern appearance. It’s built directly into a shopping mall, and with current construction going on, it was a bit cumbersome to access the rooms. Regardless, the service was wonderful and the amenities were nice. Unfortunately, the pool area was closed during my stay, so I cannot speak for its quality...
Small rooms a bit run down... Smelly and small bathroom. In the middle of shopping center. Breakfast was fine, nothing exceptional. Was on business trip, I did not get the change to use the sauna or swimming pool. Very nice service team.
Amazing location, nice staff at reception and good breakfast.
I took two stars off because of poor room service. They did not come to pick up the garbage and refresh the towels for 4 days, I had to call reception multiple times until someone came.
Also the WiFi only worked by the door, it did not work in the rest of the room.
I found the room to be cold but maybe that is just me, even with heat...
Very nice hotel, clean, good service and location. My only suggestion is that the breakfast area for guests have a better customer flow/direction with the buffet stations.
Clean and very accessible for walking around the city. Close to waterfront. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options but a bit generic, rooms felt a little more bare Russian style than charming Finnish style. Rooms could have been more updated. Service was fine, not great. A decent place at a reasonable price.

Room I had was very tiny. No air condition at the room, front desk provided me electric fan, as these days were very sunny and in my tiny room did finnish sauna 😅.
Cleanliness - nothing to complain 👌
Overall experience at the hotel was nice, but I must mention that the rooms are not satisfactory or up to the standards Scandic usually maintains and should maintain. The beds provided were so bad that I wasn’t able to sleep at all.
Pleasant and helpful staff, as needed help in room over faulty light switch, Internet code....needed to leave hotel before breakfast was available. Packed bag given in lieu, but was not full or generous. Good location near the lake. Beds were comfortable. Open shelves made packing easy.
Stayed for a few days in the hotel. Bathroom had an individual sauna which is a good touch. Breakfast is fine with selection of cold cuts, cheese, English breakfast. Reception staff is helpful. A few opportunity for food and shopping close by.
One of the best Scandic hotels I have been to in Finland. Room was really good with a nice balcony. The location is really great in the middle of the city centre. You can walk around the city centre from the hotel. Good indoor parking is available at the hotel. Nice breakfast buffet! Highly recommended to stay
I loved this hotel. I'm realizing that all of the hotels in this area have somewhat smaller rooms. The rooms are nice. I just felt a bit more cramped than usual. The Staff was friendly. I loved the location of the hotel. You are within walking distance of good food, shops and attractions. I even spent some time walking along the marina. It was very peaceful. I would definitely stay here again

We stayed only one night but it was very pleasant, the room was comfortable and clean. I think it was a nice touch that each room was dedicated to a soldier. We particularly liked the location and it's next to a great pizza place for lunch or dinner.
The most charming small hotel with interesting history visible. The service is very personal and helpful. Family business. The breakfast was fresh and different from the chain hotels. I fell in love with this little hotel with more quality than the public rating will show. Only minor thing to consider is that the building used to be in military use and build of tiles so the some sounds can be heard...
Clean room with a nice bed, overall a decent experience! Please note that just the other breakfast space has a cereal-machine and good quality orange juice, so you better make sure you choose the right one!!
Very nice and clean Hotel that is close enough to everything that you can easily walk. They have good parking too and breakfast was standard Finnish breakfast that keeps you going until lunch.
We had an excellent stay at Hotelli Rakuuna. The family room that we stayed in was clean and spacious, even with the baby cot. The amenities were great, we spent time in the kids play room and Cafe Fanny. Also, there was plenty of options for breakfast and several baby seats available for use (which we appreciated).
The location was great for us too. We could easily walk to the nearby mall and the...
An old army barracks dating back to the nineteenth century when Finland was still occupied by Russia. Throughout the hotel there are mementos of its military past. The hotel itself is comfortable and spacious. It has a play room for children and a kitchen and living room for those that stay here longer.

Apartment Hotel «Salpalinjan Hovi»
Lappeenranta, Vanha Mikkelintie 125 🧭 Map
What a beautiful place. My whole family visited Lappeenranta and all stayed at Salpanlinjan Hovi. Organising a bed for a 1.5 year old toddler upfront via telephone was not a problem. The rooms are really nicely renovated and very clean. The sauna was perfect, the little pool was clean as well. It‘s very quiet, a little bit outside of the main city.
The owners are the most friendly people. The sauna...
A very comfortable place to stay in. The owner was very friendly and gave us tips on what to do in the area. The breakfast was served in the room and it filled you up.

Location in the center of the city, nice cozy rooms. Staff is very polite and friendly and helpful.
But don’t expect much like a wide screen TV. Toilets are outside the room. On the 3rd floor where I’ve lived there are 6 rooms and 4 toilets. Quite enough. And shower is on the second floor.
So I would say it’s a good place to have a one-two nigh stay.
Great Value for a budget Stay.
Very clean and nice basic breakfast.
*Entry is from behind the building.
*Nice pub and pizza place in front.
*Supermarket close by, and 2km walk to airport and 500m to train station.
💯👌
A budget accomodation in Lappeenranta. We were here for one night arriving at about 4 o'clock and leaving at 8 in the morning. It's a nice place for such a purpose, we took two twin rooms, they were on the 1st floor. Usually the keys are left for the guests at the reception and the administration tells you the main door code by email, so you arrive, get your keys with the questionnaire and go to your...
A very functional motel. Sauna was a delightful surprise (make sure to reserve your turn on the board). There's a bar below the motel, but we weren't right above it so we didn't have any problems. There was bread, juice, cereal and coffee for breakfast (kind of a "Finnish" breakfast). If you know what you are getting (shared showers, self-service) and don't experience any nice, this is 5/5. Check the...

Quiet and cozy place with everything for a relaxed vacation. There is a little beach, several places for BBQ, table tennis, badminton and board games for common use. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. A farm is nearby. Skating rink in the winter is available. The location is 20-30 minutes from the city and the food should be brought with you.
Privately run by the owners great Finnish lakeshore retreat with all amenities one would expect in the 22 century. Absence of TV in rooms compliments the atmosphere of escape from urban fuss. Bed sheets and pillows are a delight and are so pleasing to skin that we are considering buying these for our home :-).

We found that hotel at the midnight. The staff is very professional and friendly. We were greatly appreciated by room and service. I will recommend that place as one of the best that I visited. Despite 3 stars the atmosphere and conditions are super.

Quite a lot of selection for breakfast.
The room is clean and comfortable.
Staff is not so friendly, charged price wrongly, and still with some attitude.
Great views and location. Accessible to mini trails and lake. Highly recommended. We stay here once a year.
Excellent location by lake Imatra with walking paths on the shore.
Spa area has several pools, dressing rooms have traditional saunas and there’s one mixed steam sauna in the spa area. One outdoor pool with jacuzzi feature.
Breakfast has a wide variety, but very crowded in summertime.
Rooms are retro but no complaints.
Good value for money overall.
The location is very nice with magnificent views to the lake. The building itself and its interiors are quite outdated, maybe from the 90s.
We stayed at the chalet which is a newer addition and was quite nice, but the beds and especially pillows were really poor in there as well. Even though it was supposed to have own air conditioning, the apartment stayed too hot during our stay although the weather...
Imatran Kylpylä is in a perfect spot. The SPA area is fantastic and fun to visit. The recreation area, especially the bowling, is a great addition and we enjoyed it a lot.
But, the rooms are a big letdown. They seem untouched since the hotel was built, with old furniture and beds that have lost their shape after 20 years. Despite being called "superior," the rooms are far from it and feel very outdated...
Got taken by some software engineers from turku when they came past Lappeenranta on an excursion. This is the first place we went to and I've got to admit quite a weird fun chill place to visit. It feels very 2008 in a nostalgic way for me. I'd recommend visiting but the only downside I can think of is that you need to mortgage your house and sell a kidney to buy more than 3 drinks

To be honest, out of 12 countries, this is the most comfortable, interesting and cute hostel. There is something warm, cozy in it ... The rain stopped to wait for a day, I got so high that I still stayed, then another day, and then another and so on for 7 days ... My motorcycle was put in the underground parking, for free! He is standing there, and I rode the M6 bus in Helsinki and back on the train...
From the pros: Center, there are curtains by the beds, clean and comfortable, price, they give out slippers and a towel, you can put a car or bike in the garage, there is Wi-Fi
Of the minuses: the summer was hot, with open windows you can hear cars from the street, there is no freezer.
Amazing hostel. Highly recommend. You can get your own spacious room for 2 people for less than 60e. The room had 4 140cm wide beds. Very comfortable and fits two in one bed. Big storage cupboards in room. Free Nespresso coffee in kitchen and dish washing machine. Very nice and clean bathrooms and showers. Less than 5min walk to everything except train station.
Location good. Yes, we were taken care of before we arrived, a man called and confirmed things. Both Finnish and English were so difficult to understand that I didn't quite understand everything. The cleanliness is good, but the Corona time and both the handwashing liquid and the toilet paper run out of the toilet when we arrived in the evening. A top experience that you sure want to experience too
The room was okay but one of the pillows was dirty. The view from the window would have been very nice without the sleet storm outside.

Amazing place! Hidden gem in Saimaa region. The big cottage was amaazing, there is 2 saunas to rent (1 floating and 1 normal) plus SUP boards. The owners are amazing, view is great and atmosphere super relaxed. See you next time! 😍
Great service, fantastic à la carte restaurant, nice private floating sauna to rent and good enough rooms 👌
A little bit uncared hotel run by Russian manager who is quite helpful and flexible. He had problems take money from my card but agreed if I just leave money in the room in check out. We arrived after 10 pm but he managed to prepare sauna for us even he has already left) sauna was 10€ per hour.
Hotel really knew best times and now is rundown but the price is corresponding low.
Hope one day it will...
