Where to stay in Oulu

Everything you need. Good service, SPA, gym, sandy beach. Spacious outside swimming pool for those who like temperature difference and wake up you body😉

food and services are good. The spa area is a bit lacking, but serviceable. Kids love the waves.

Spa department is not that modern anymore, for example there is no cold water pool, but if that isn’t a big deal for you, this is a good place to go and spend a weekend. Breakfast is generous. Vicinity of the sea is a good bonus.

Everything as promised on the website. Very good location - sea, nice walking paths and supermarket in walking distance. Good air condition in the room. Small but otherwise nice spa, excellent gym which opens early enough, 5 am. One minus point for the fact that the hotel would seem to need a bit of renovation.

Unless you shy away for a 1km walk to the centre, this is a beautiful place for either a meal, a drink or a stay. It usef to be an old folks' home - that's where the name comes from. I've now veen there four times, once personal and otherwise business. I just love the earthy yet personal and caretaking way things are done. Just a wonderful place with northern tastes and styles, and with amazing staff

This place has been around in one form or another for many years, and the experience of the staff shines through. A welcoming afternoon tea and a sumtuous breakfast were just two of the standouts. The beds were excellent and the facilities all in good working order. Would happily stay there again if visiting the region.

Very tastefully renovated (old part) and extended (new part) hotel, including a high quality restaurant (it happens not often, that Finnish restaurants know how to prepare a steak 'rare' (crispy roasted outside, red but hot inside) and large breakfast service.

Breakfast is very good but the rooms are not really nice and clean maintained. Even when asking for new cups, we received a dirty one. The bathroom shower is right on the floor, so half the room becomes wet when showering 🙁

The Hotel is located in Main place and it has very good rooms. But I am really disappointed with the Room services and cleaning. I have stayed there for 6 nights. My room was not cleaned daily though I have asked them to clean. The Glasses and cups are not replaced. Coffee pouches not refilled. The towels smells very bad. After many follow up they cleaned the room and replaces the cup and Glass but...

I just visit as a tour around hotel. I will not know about other experiences. But as it's best location at center of Oulu and great view from 6th floor with private sauna room makes me to think it's nice spot to chill around.

For the same price, this was nowhere near as good stay as Marski in Helsinki. No chromecast, no tea or coffee in the room, no cream or normal cow milk in breakfast, no fried eggs or waffles either. The only positive was a really nice customer service.

Awesome hotel with polite customer service, nice restaurant with lots of options and pet friendly which came really handy. Our dog got a goodie bag which included a toy, litter bags and a bowl for her to drink from. Would recommend!

Otherwise a good hotel, but poor beds.

Because the drive from Rovaniemi to Helsinki was too long, we stopped in Oulu for one night. We had venison and wandered around. The city is not big, there are many Chinese restaurants, and we didn't have breakfast.

Very good hotel, looking forward to staying next time

Hotel with great location and easy to find. The room was good and there is a fridge, microwave, kettle and there is a sharing pantry and laundry room for guests. A really good budget hotel with nice and friendly staff.

Nice hotel in the middle of the cite , clean with good breakfast

Nice cottage in a nice area and located close to the city. The cottage surprisingly had a dishwasher. The sorroundings where tidy.

Big camping with lot of facilities. Open toilets for camping guests dirty . The others with code are cleaner. For a place with no water and electricity the price is to high for what is offered.

It was an amazing trip! The villas were spacious and modern with huge windows. The location of the village is amazing since you are couple of steps far from the beach. The location is also very good for seeing auroras. We were luck enough to see them from our doorstep.

Love this place, great location. But our big cabin that cost us over 1000 euros for our stay was very dirty. Still after two clenings😔

Nice little cottages to stay in on our way to Lapland.

Nicely decorated rooms, quiet and comfy. Buffet breakfast is very nice and there is also a nice Steakhouse restaurant that is part of the hotel.

This review applies only to Lankku -restaurant. Lankku is excellent place to have a nice long dining session with your friends. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Lankku has very good steak menu and price/quality-ratio is very good.

Clean and cozy rooms. Soundproofing between rooms was not great, but ok. Very friendly staff, good breakfast and located close to the town center.
