Where to stay in Oulu

Great hotel in optimal location! Everything interesting is within walking distance. Spacious enough room, very good breakfast and friendly staff.

We stopped overnight at the Radisson Blu in Oulu during our road trip. We got a parking place for our car in front of the main door, there were also parking spaces for hotel guests in the hotel's backyard. The reception staff was most friendly. We got a room on the top floor. It was a quiet room, the bed was excellent and gave us a good night's sleep. The hotel's breakfast is clearly better than usual...

The hotel is at prime location, connected to Market Square and Lake. It lives up to its reputation of great rooms , very good breakfast and hygiene standards. This hotel has family room accommodation which is so convenient. Quick checkin. Gentle nd courteous staff. Thumps up !!!

I came here with a big group, and check-in was super fast! It's an older hotel, but everything is in great shape. The room carpet was nice (no musty smells!), the bed was a bit soft but still comfy, and the pillows and blankets were cozy and warm. Hotel is a bit dated but it’s kept in good condition. Rooms are nice and for the most part clean. Washrooms could be a bit better and you can clearly see they are getting a bit older, over average though so still very much acceptable. Restaurant is good and serve over average food. Breakfast is like always in Radisson on point with plenty of selections with proper coffee. This is my go to hotel...

Second time here, I think I will choose this place as my go to hotel for the upcoming trips to Oulu. Rooms are pretty large, staff helpful and good breakfast. Nothing to complain about. The gym is insane, it is actually a legit gym run by a company so perfect place for me!

Breakfast is very good but the rooms are not really nice and clean maintained. Even when asking for new cups, we received a dirty one. The bathroom shower is right on the floor, so half the room becomes wet when showering 🙁

The Hotel is located in Main place and it has very good rooms. But I am really disappointed with the Room services and cleaning. I have stayed there for 6 nights. My room was not cleaned daily though I have asked them to clean. The Glasses and cups are not replaced. Coffee pouches not refilled. The towels smells very bad. After many follow up they cleaned the room and replaces the cup and Glass but...

I just visit as a tour around hotel. I will not know about other experiences. But as it's best location at center of Oulu and great view from 6th floor with private sauna room makes me to think it's nice spot to chill around.

For the same price, this was nowhere near as good stay as Marski in Helsinki. No chromecast, no tea or coffee in the room, no cream or normal cow milk in breakfast, no fried eggs or waffles either. The only positive was a really nice customer service.

Awesome hotel with polite customer service, nice restaurant with lots of options and pet friendly which came really handy. Our dog got a goodie bag which included a toy, litter bags and a bowl for her to drink from. Would recommend!

My family of 2 adults and 2 kids stayed here in a family room, which consists of one big "normal" bed" and one pull-out sofa. The sofa mattress was extremely worn out and very uncomfortable, even for the kids. This was extremely disappointing because this was a very expensive stay for us and really, what more do you ask of a hotel besides a decent bed? My other complaint is that the shower has a door...

Nice hotel, free sauna and pool, but don't forget to take Slippers, the hotel they are worth 5 euros!) The hotel is located almost in the center, near a supermarket)

Wonderful hotel! Loved it!! And the Breakfast and the rooms are nice. Just upset that you don't let Slippers. But you can buy them at the reception for 5 euros!

Nice hotel in the centre of Oulu with walking distance to everywhere. We had a small room for two, bed was 140 cm wide and there was a TV in the room. The room suited us perfectly. Breakfast was simple yet satisfying, not a lot of options for vegans. Otherwise the restaurant had nice vegan options, too.

The hotel is super, room is clean and comfortable, room cleaned every day, one minus not speak Russian.

Cumulus hotel rooms are usually very ordinary, but this place had excellent service and great suited really well for hosting our union training. Great food. Gave extra star for overall experience.

Good placed, in walking distance of train station. Good facilities sauna swimming pool, breakfast is good, have a restaurant and a Bar/Cafe open until 11:30. Clean and good rooms.

We had nice stay, hotel room was tidy, comfortable and modern. Breakfast buffet is simple but nice selection and fresh food was added throughout breakfast.

Nice and quiet place to be. Worth a booking if you are in Oulu. I enjoyed my stay there and the room is quite ok. Breakfast is always the best part and Sokos hotels does it best 👌🏾.

Very good hotel. Clean, had amazing shower, working AC/TV/minibar. Only thing i dont understand as a tourist, why windows had no handles and couldn't be opened.

Hotel service is nice and food is amazing however, we have been staying here for 3 nights and the menu is set menu with the same dishes everyday ! When we asked if they can provide us with any other food they said we need to tell them the day before, which was never mentioned to us before. The hotel is isolated and we depend on one resturant that serves the same set menu everyday !

The rooms are decorated with very nice, Scandinavian touches. The breakfast was the best one we got in all of Scandinavia. And the hotel has 3 bikes which you can ride for free. Discovering Oulu by bike was the best thing we could do.

Beautiful rooms not far from amazing shopping and restaurant. Loved the smell of the soap, lotion, and hand cream. Even bought some. Tried the reindeer dish for the first time and it was delicious. Everything you need. Good service, SPA, gym, sandy beach. Spacious outside swimming pool for those who like temperature difference and wake up you body😉

Spa department is not that modern anymore, for example there is no cold water pool, but if that isn’t a big deal for you, this is a good place to go and spend a weekend. Breakfast is generous. Vicinity of the sea is a good bonus.

Everything as promised on the website. Very good location - sea, nice walking paths and supermarket in walking distance. Good air condition in the room. Small but otherwise nice spa, excellent gym which opens early enough, 5 am. One minus point for the fact that the hotel would seem to need a bit of renovation.

It was in the middle of the city centre, accessible to market and bus stops in a few meters. Apartment is cleanly maintained, kudos to the staff

Had an amazing experience at this place. We stayed here for 7 nights. The view of the city's hustle and bustle was beautiful from our apartment window. We had booked for an included breakfast package, which was super convenient for us. They had a nice variety of delicacies to offer at breakfast time. We had common kitchens on several floors if you're yearning for a home cooked meal and common laundries...

The rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are convenient to sleep in. Everything I needed was there. Keyless entry system worked smoothly for me. I also liked the location. The only reason I did not give 5 starts is that I don't like the bathrooms too much. The automatic light keeps switching off, there is a slight smell from the pipes and the whole bathroom seem like it was added to the room long after...

The hotel room is fine, its location is very good, but the WiFi provided by the hotel is terrible, always lose connection, and reconnection always failed and take very long time.

The only criticism is that there were 2 pieces of tea bag ..if you arrive late...take something to drink with or you use the bar downstairs or walk to the shop...

For the location, price and rooms I really have nothing to complain. Breakfast was one of the best I've had for this price, very diverse buffet table. We had sauna in the room even for the same price as without sauna and of course we had to go for it. When was the last time you had morning sauna in your hotel?

Very basic hotel with excellent location. A bit old and worn, but nice and tidy. Good breakfast and excellent staff.

We booked a King Bed room with private sauna ...which was thrilling. Quite nice and quiet place. Hardly 150m from railway station Very good spread for breakfast

Nice hotel center of the city. Nice clean rooms. Some of the rooms has own sauna. Public sauna located 5th floor. Breakfast served 6:30-10 am karaoke bar located in the ground floor but now only open during the weekends. Parking place behind the hotel. Limited parking available. Front of the hotel several Thai massage places for total enjoyment to get good sleep 😴 ,😂

Very nice hotel with excellent and extremely helpful personnel. If you want excellent place to stay overnight in reasonable price, this will be your choice.

Unless you shy away for a 1km walk to the centre, this is a beautiful place for either a meal, a drink or a stay. It usef to be an old folks' home - that's where the name comes from. I've now veen there four times, once personal and otherwise business. I just love the earthy yet personal and caretaking way things are done. Just a wonderful place with northern tastes and styles, and with amazing staff

This place has been around in one form or another for many years, and the experience of the staff shines through. A welcoming afternoon tea and a sumtuous breakfast were just two of the standouts. The beds were excellent and the facilities all in good working order. Would happily stay there again if visiting the region.

Very tastefully renovated (old part) and extended (new part) hotel, including a high quality restaurant (it happens not often, that Finnish restaurants know how to prepare a steak 'rare' (crispy roasted outside, red but hot inside) and large breakfast service.

Friendly service and absolutely delightful atmosphere in an old building near city centre. Dinner was excellent, breakfast good. Room was small but cosy and tidy. Good parking space. We'll be back!

Nice cottage in a nice area and located close to the city. The cottage surprisingly had a dishwasher. The sorroundings where tidy.

Big camping with lot of facilities. Open toilets for camping guests dirty . The others with code are cleaner. For a place with no water and electricity the price is to high for what is offered.

It was an amazing trip! The villas were spacious and modern with huge windows. The location of the village is amazing since you are couple of steps far from the beach. The location is also very good for seeing auroras. We were luck enough to see them from our doorstep.

Very clean and well organized, lots of parking places. The beach is relatively big with some nice views.

Asunto oli puhdas ja siisti. Sopivan kokoinen neljän hengen perheellemme yhdeksi yöksi. Äiti ja 10 v tytär mahtuu hyvin nukkumaan olohuoneen levitettävällä sohvalla. Sauna oli plussaa.

The host was a very Kind person. He explained everything and was also available any time! We had a short, but very comfortable stay.

2 night stay with extended family. The kitchen is small but fairly well equipped. The beds downstairs are futon couch style and not very comfortable. There is an abundance of tables and chairs and nowhere to really put them if you don't need to seat 20 people. They got in the way a bit. The bathroom is modern and the sauna spacious. Linen was decent enough quality. The fridge is large but missing some...

Direct view to Koiteli rapids from main hall and also from sauna! Good for small events like private parties or business recreation. 20 persons fits well. Bigger groups also if weather allows staying out.

Awesome spot for nature watching, grilling, chilling. Parking lot is big and they sell ice cream there.
