Arkadia Hotel & Hostel

No hot water, only 1 power outlet for 4 beds, far from the center, kitchen is so so, people seem to be living here for quite some time. I was lucky to have decent roommates but I heard people arguing at night and some guy left a pan full of oil which was triggering the smoke detectors... staff wanted to charge me more than what was listed on booking until I complained and the guy corrected it.

2 stars because of the price, free parking and the beds were clean. You get what you paid for.

Overpriced judging by its condition. The rooms weren't that clean and were very cramped. The hotel is located on a decent part of the city, but still i can't give more than 2 stars.

Awful place!! When I went out for smoke they didn’t want to let us in again. Hotel administrator were drinking and was under drugs. He yelled at us that he drank two liters vodka and did coke!!!! Wanted to call police but my infomation was there and I was literally afraid of my life. Never visiting Helsinki again!!! When I started speaking Russian he calmed down.This thing what they call hotel shouldn’t be in any sites to book!

Air conditioner, location, pillow… I thought I was back in the Stone Age. Out of seven days I spent 3 days in the recipe because of problems in the room.

Hello, I've just left this hostel.
I would unfortunately personally not recommend it for various reasons:
- The staff wasn't smiling, not very welcoming.
- The staff would close the reception, despise the fact they should be open 24/7 (written everywhere on papers).
- When I wanted to give back the keys, the reception was close, despise the presence of the staff chatting. They saw me behind the door but kept talking ignoring me. They eventually opened the door 10mn later.
- The rooms were fine, but the whole atmosphere (corridors, WC-shower rooms, kitchen) was creepy, dark and dirty. I didn't feel safe when getting back there and I couldn't sleep safely this night.
- I didn't dare use the kitchen as I saw how dirty it was.
That's a shame as this hostel is well located and is near the center of Helsinki.

Such a worst experience we had and i can’t believe that are these kind of hotel and hostel still exist in Helsinki. Spiders and mosquitoes were found inside of the room.

Helsinki city is losing its charm and compromising the quality. Investigators should inspect and claim this property.

The worst experience in terms of customer service. The woman on the phone didn’t even know English, no one answer the phone for several hours, and no policies are respected. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Toilets were too much dirty. Didn’t expect this in a city like Helsinki.
